16/07/2026: An awesome, typically Alsatian tarte flambee restaurant. Great service, atmosphere and delicious food. If you're looking for the traditional real deal, this is as good as it gets. Very reasonably priced also.

13/09/2025: Unfortunately, Contre-Champ is not what it used to be. The chef has changed, and the experience is nothing like what you’ll see on Google or in older reviews. The food was disappointing, far below expectations, and the overall quality has dropped dramatically. To make matters worse, the poor waiter had to manage 11 tables completely on his own — service was understandably slow and chaotic, and it was painful to watch him struggle. What used to be a great place has become a real letdown. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal.

Completely understaffed, one overwhelmed waiter for the entire dining room. The kitchen is taking it easy meanwhile. Way too hot inside. The food was okay, nothing special. 05/06/2026: After waiting for over twenty minutes before learning that we actually had to order directly at the bar, we asked for two non-alcoholic cocktails made with peach, lemon, and sparkling water. Imagine our surprise when we received a glass with a fluorescent orange contents, visually closer to an Aperol Spritz than a fruity mocktail. The taste was the same: a particularly bitter flavor, more reminiscent of an alcoholic cocktail than a simple mix of peach, lemon, and sparkling water. Thinking it was a mistake, we went back to the bar to check. The waitress, with remarkable nonchalance, assured us that it was indeed our order and that not a drop of alcohol was present. I must admit I remain perplexed: managing to produce something so far removed from peach, lemon, and sparkling water is almost an achievement. We asked if it was possible to change the drink, having only taken a few sips. The only solution offered was to add more sparkling water. A surprising suggestion, since it would only have increased the volume of an already undrinkable beverage. No other alternatives, no real explanation, no gesture of goodwill. My biggest regret is leaving a tip, requested at the payment terminal before I'd even had a chance to taste anything. The setting is pleasant, but the service is far from adequate. I never leave negative reviews on Google, but this experience warranted it. Avoid it.

29/01/2026: Be careful if you buy tickets in advance, some companies don't honor their promises, but the barge and ride on the Seine was wonderful.

27/06/2026: Message to the manager: The staff is top-notch in terms of service, welcome, and the quality of the orders prepared! Today I went to pick up an order as usual, and I noticed that the staff were completely drenched in sweat (they were suffocating!!). It was 37°C outside, and they were standing in front of the machines: kebab spit, fryer, griddle, toasters, etc. It's shameful to let your employees work in these conditions! They're working in an environment that's close to 50°C; it's unacceptable! The air conditioning isn't working! DO SOME THINGS QUICKLY so your employees can work in better conditions!! They're kind enough not to abandon you! Because they have the right to refuse to work in such a hellish environment! I really feel for them…

27/06/2026: The welcome was fantastic, even the staff! I tried a double smash and I can honestly say it's the best smash I've ever had. We'll definitely be back! I highly recommend it, go ahead and try it! Thank you

20/06/2026: Excellent service. Stella gave us a wonderful welcome, with a special touch that was particularly appreciated for our birthday. Since the restaurant changed chefs a few years ago, I can confirm that the quality remains consistently high. Good food enhanced by warm service and a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you also for the wine recommendations. We will be back!

05/01/2026: The reservation was perfect, there were several of us. Then, regarding the menu, some items were missing, plus the mini butters were over a month past their expiration date. Finally, the dessert was sickeningly sweet. I won't be going back.

30/12/2025: I never could have imagined eating the best meal of my life when I walked into this beach restaurant. The flavor combinations were surprising, innovative, comforting, and perfectly executed. I will remember the different tastes of this fish dish for the rest of my life. The welcome and atmosphere were also very friendly. I have been recommending this restaurant to absolutely all my friends and family since our visit to Saint-Quay-Portrieux.

06/07/2026: Avoid this place. Cold welcome, no menu, just a very quick announcement of the set menu. The waitress didn't understand our choices, offered no compensation, and we really felt like we were bothering them.

21/07/2026: A charming, old-fashioned restaurant/bar with a warm welcome. Unfortunately, since I didn't order mussels, I chose the sausage and fries. Disappointment! It was just a simple Knacki sausage when I was expecting something like a Maroilles sausage.
