07/06/2026: We had a reservation for 7 pm, but by 9 pm we had only received an aperitif. Dinner finished after midnight. The service was deplorable despite the efforts of a young waiter who did his best and deserved a lot of credit. The food was good, but nothing special. The atmosphere was oppressive, and customers were leaving after their appetizers.

27/04/2026: The service (thank you, Clara!), the ambiance, the decor, and the cocktails were excellent. Unfortunately, the food didn't impress us. It lacked flavor and finesse. (Lunch)

07/04/2026: We went to Jardin Tropezina in Ramatuelle and had booked the first available time slot. Unfortunately, we were seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant, not outside with a view of the beach – a disappointing start. The food and drinks were mediocre at best. The taste was okay, but nothing special – especially considering the prices. I had a burger for about €46, which was good, but rather small and came with very few sides. For a third of the price, you can get significantly more, and often even better quality, at many good burger joints. What was really disappointing was that, as is customary there, a serving table was set up next to our table. Our main course had been sitting there for several minutes while we were still enjoying the amuse-bouche. Shortly after, it was practically snatched from our hands so the main course could be served. This seemed unnecessarily rushed and poorly planned. Overall, the service felt very rigid and almost over-organized. The waiters were friendly, but very focused on following their service plan – which sometimes made them seem a little tense. The ambiance, however, is truly outstanding and hard to beat – you're definitely paying for the location and the atmosphere right on the beach. All in all: a beautiful place – especially for those who see money as just a number.

06/02/2026: The establishment advertised being open until 2 am and serving food, but when we wanted to eat at 10:30 pm, we were told it wasn't possible...not very customer-friendly for a weekend evening

21/01/2026: Being verbally abused by the cook who went outside for a cigarette ("Cyclists, they think they can do whatever they want"), then threatened ("Why are you looking at me like that?") while peacefully riding on the bike lane right in front of the restaurant, is a pretty stupid way to lose customers. Especially since, having lived in the neighborhood for a few months, the two times we'd been to this restaurant, we'd eaten very well and found the owner (for his part) very friendly. But if a cook smoking is already a problem, the completely gratuitous aggression of the staff (even on their break, but wearing aprons and chef's hats) is a deal-breaker.

02/06/2026: Decent service 👍 The prices are very reasonable, cheaper than similar establishments ➖💶 As for the food, the portions are good and generous, with five different meats. That's a real plus compared to the competition 🍖 The taco was a bit dry and lacked sauce, as were the fries served in a tray, which could have used more. On the plus side, though, they had curry sauce, which isn't always offered in this type of restaurant 👍

30/07/2026: Finally, a restaurant in an incredible location that doesn't take advantage of the situation by overcharging, plus the food is excellent! It's been a long time since I've eaten such plump mussels in a creamy sauce with such a delicious sauce, and the portion was generous! I come every year because, in addition to the wonderful location, the staff is warm and always in good spirits. The servers are very attentive and conscientious. The authenticity and the relaxed yet very attentive and responsive service are noteworthy. Thank you so much, because it's a real treat for us to spend a day at this cove every year with the children. I might be exaggerating a bit, but it's so rare to find an establishment that respects its customers, its prices, and with such energy that I wanted to share it. I mustn't forget Abiba, who maintained her kindness and enthusiasm despite the crowds and my five calls to reschedule my reservation! Thank you to the whole team, this raises the bar for those very touristy places that rip people off with outrageous products, services, and prices!! THANK YOU

25/07/2026: Restaurant overlooking the magnificent Calanque du Mugel. Very friendly and welcoming service. The fresh tuna skewer is excellent. We got a table without a reservation.

01/07/2026: Value for money 0/5 The fries were cooked in brown sugar, they were so brown, the salad was swimming in oil, and the rosé and red wine were bad. The meat was just about acceptable. The bill was far too expensive for the quality.

10/07/2026: I came for a sweet and savory breakfast. My first impression was very positive, and the price was very reasonable. To start, the brunch consisted of a hot and cold drink, a pastry, two slices of bread with butter and jam, and to finish, the savory option: an omelet or a fried egg with bacon, all for €14.90. Despite this, the jam was the kind you'd find in a budget hotel, the butter offered was only unsalted, the pain au chocolat was good, but the croissant was almost stale. In one dish, the fried eggs were perfectly cooked, while in the other, the egg white was stuck to the plate and burnt, which was a real shame. On the plus side, the portions were very generous; even as a big eater, I wasn't hungry at the end. Three stars might seem a bit harsh, but the service is the bare minimum, meaning basic politeness. Otherwise, there were no smiles, and no fresh water was brought to the table despite the intense heat. The gentleman who appeared to be the manager, head waiter, or even the owner was unpleasant. Not a greeting, just a curt, "Please take a seat; the waitress will come to you." In short, this is the bare minimum you can expect here. You can surely find better elsewhere. It's a shame for a restaurant that has such a beautiful view of the Place de la Contrescarpe.

11/07/2026: I would recommend avoiding this place if possible. I wanted an Americano, so I ordered two 3-euro café allongés, but since the weather was so hot, I asked to switch them to iced coffee. When I received the coffee, I was a bit puzzled because it seemed like syrup had been added. Although it was our fault, we were in a hurry, so we asked for the bill. The staff member held out a card reader first to process the payment and then informed us of the total amount; however, the bill came to 16 euros, when we naturally assumed it would be 6 euros. It seemed like the bill was 7 euros for two people and a 1-euro service charge for two. When I pointed out that the amount seemed odd, the staff member went to the counter, slammed a 2-euro coin on the table, and said "Bye bye." When I asked if we hadn't ordered the 3-euro café allongés, the employee simply explained that they had added the syrup as a complimentary service and that the price for the iced coffee was different, which left me feeling quite upset. I never asked for syrup, so how is there any magic that makes two 3-euro coffees with syrup and ice turn into 16 euros?

21/06/2026: Living in the neighborhood, we used to come here a few years ago for a drink and to share platters (high-quality products, both cheeses and charcuterie, accompanied by condiments like walnuts, black cherry jam, grapes, etc.). But since the Olympics, the quality has completely declined, and the place has become a touristy bar/restaurant. Speaking of platters, we ordered one tonight: nothing but pre-packaged, industrial products, a bit of lamb's lettuce in the middle, all for the modest sum of €25. The service is also often haphazard (you can sometimes wait 20 minutes before a server even acknowledges you, orders are forgotten, receipts are mixed up, etc.), and the cocktails are often far too sweet (and not remade). In short: nice for a Perrier or a beer in the sun in a charming, quiet spot, but I really regret this decline in quality.

22/05/2026: A cold welcome and snobbish responses to my questions about the Madagascar chocolate ice cream, which ultimately tasted of absolutely nothing. Dark chocolate? Yes, they told me haughtily. Ice cream that was only snobbish in name. €3.20 worth of ice cream full of air that left me with a terrible stomach ache. Tourists, avoid this place.
