He has absolutely no concept of customer service! But it's certainly not his fault, as empathy is simply not in his nature... oh well! Oh, and I almost forgot, the products were delicious...

18/05/2026: Located just steps from the République metro station and very easy to access, this place is a real gem. I'd walked past it 50 times without stopping, and for my first visit, it was a revelation! "Au Village Italien" has become my go-to spot for Italian specialties. Beyond the excellent catering service, the richness of Italian gastronomy is wonderfully showcased, with exceptionally high-quality products. The personalized advice, both for wine pairings and gourmet products, is superb and adds real value: it elevates these specialties and reminds us what true cuisine is, far removed from the soulless products of supermarkets. Here, quality is the only rule, and amateurism has no place on the shelves. The price-quality ratio is quite reasonable for such a level of excellence. An essential address to have in your contacts and one you should visit without hesitation!

12/09/2026: The beef fillet we ordered was excellent, even though we had to wait a bit. The servers were pleasant and the atmosphere was quite calm. It gets a little chilly in the evening, as it's close to the water, so it's best to bring a light jacket.

15/10/2026: I was very disappointed with my visit to this establishment. We were served glasses of champagne that were clearly barely filled. When I politely pointed this out, the bartender pretended to add more champagne to my glass, without pouring a single drop. A complete lack of respect for the customer. Back home, I measured the exact volume of the two non-identical glasses I had at the establishment (screen-printed tasting glasses from G.H. Mumm and Alsace Joseph Cattin): the attached photo shows the level for only 100 ml (knowing that a standard bar pour is 120 ml). At the bar, the level was still 1 cm below this mark, meaning barely 75 or 80 ml were served in each glass at a premium price. The service was unprofessional and the business practices were highly questionable. I will not be returning.

10/10/2026: A very nice establishment, very good food, however, we had the misfortune of being seated next to two representatives of the "youth crowd" who carefully ruined our meal with the complicity of the waiter of course (talking over the loudspeaker, howling laughter...). It's a shame to have a beautiful restaurant and sabotage the atmosphere...

09/06/2026: I've been staying in hotels every day for nine years and I've never seen anything like it. The room wasn't clean, the walls were stained everywhere, the towel warmer was rusty, and the light fixture was hanging off the ceiling. I arrived at 6:30 PM and waited at least 10 minutes before anyone came. Even when you're first in the breakfast room, there are crumbs on the table that must have been there the day before. Paying €128 for a night's stay for this is a disgrace.

18/07/2026: Nice terrace, good service. We ordered two sirloin steaks. Both were acidic and bad. I do not recommend this restaurant due to the poor quality of its meat.

28/10/2026: The Escargots is super yummy!! I love it.

17/08/2026: It took an hour and a half to get a table, and 50 minutes for a stale, two-day-old salad that was small. The chicken was defrosted and not hot, the gratin undercooked, the andouillette undercooked, and the calf's head, while tasty, had a plastic-tasting sauce. I strongly advise against going there. It's noisy during the fair, with people practically sitting on top of you. There are tons of people crammed into the bar, and we're eating behind it, packed in like sardines. There was no choice of desserts; two were missing from the menu. The apricot tart was uncooked and defrosted, best avoided. The toilets were neglected, and the room was dirty and broken.

16/08/2026: We went there on a Monday at lunchtime after the market, based on social media recommendations... what a disappointment! We arrived at 10:30 am and waited 30 minutes for three beers. The waitress had gone to serve the other tables and forgotten about us... The "Monday market special" menu included two slices of sausage, a slice of ham, and some (store-bought) tabbouleh on a dessert plate; calf's head with four pieces of potato, a bit of carrot, a piece of gelatin, and a small piece of meat; and a frozen red fruit tiramisu for dessert... €20 for the menu! In short, I don't recommend it.

30/09/2026: Back this morning at 5 a.m., after a few months of being unfaithful and... finally, a pleasant welcome, a smile, a chat, and delicious pastries. Pastries aren't enough, dear managers; the quality of service is far more essential.

29/09/2026: As for the products sold, their reputation speaks for itself; the quality is evident throughout. And the service is truly delightful. In short, I'll definitely be back often.

20/09/2026: After being consistently ignored by the waitress for over 20 minutes, even though guests at the immediately adjacent tables were being served later, we left this otherwise welcoming establishment. Another couple who had arrived shortly before us were also not served and left as well.

01/09/2026: Disappointing, endless wait, overcooked fries, bad dessert, and presentation beyond words... Kir served in water glasses...
