01/05/2026: This morning, Friday, May 1, 2026, my brother and I stopped for coffee. I should mention that I am blind. When I went to pay, I held out a bill to the waitress, who didn't even glance at it. We called her over to pay. She was very unpleasant and rude to me. When she came back, she just threw the change on the table. I told her I was blind and asked her to show me some respect. She didn't appreciate that. We will never set foot in the Chocolaterie de Chartres again. The service was terrible and there was no politeness whatsoever. Avoid at all costs.

21/04/2026: To do things in order: - Starter: tuna rillettes with extra bones (and yes, it's plural). Not very pleasant... - Main course: ribeye steak cooked rare as requested, perfect. But an interminable wait for the dish, and the cooking oil gave the meat an unpleasant fried taste. Fortunately, the meat was very tender. However, my colleague had ordered medium-rare and received rare meat exactly like mine. - Dessert: no dessert to avoid waiting another half hour. I'm mainly judging the food here, as I came primarily to eat. That's all.

23/05/2026: After writing this review, the manager came to our table and started yelling and getting angry at us. The service was disastrous. The staff were extremely rude and unpleasant. After a long delay in being served, they even asked us if we wanted them to take our order again—a completely unacceptable attitude. As for the cakes, they tasted awful. A truly disappointing experience from beginning to end.

19/05/2026: Very disappointed with our table (the first one facing the entrance). We asked to be seated elsewhere before ordering, but were refused because the place was already full (even though it was filling up as we waited). As a result, we were cold the whole time (customers kept opening the door and blocking it, the crowd pushed past us, and we were stuck in front of our table waiting to be seated). We came to enjoy a pleasant time with friends, but instead we ended up policing the door. It was very uncomfortable! The pear and chocolate tart I ordered was good, as was the tea. It's difficult to give a higher rating under these circumstances. I did like the place, though.

23/03/2026: We were truly disappointed. For a €69 menu, and with wine pairings bringing the total to around €80, one would expect, at the very least, some consistency between the semi-gastronomic offering and the service. But that wasn't the case. Our plates were simply placed in front of us without any explanation (even though we knew what was on the menu). We would have expected at least some explanation of what was on our plates, or at the very least, a simple "enjoy your meal." The atmosphere was like a canteen, far from the promise such a menu should inspire.

The ravioli dish had sauce dripping everywhere, the green salad wasn't exactly fresh. The white wine was more than just so-so... in short, I won't be going back 😬
