05/03/2026: Very good food with original and successful blends of flavors, unfortunately we happened to be there on an evening when the atmosphere was very/too noisy for us!

02/03/2026: We tasted the foie gras and found it sorely lacking in flavor. We then tried the fish with beets: what a surprise to find only a single small cube of fish and a piece of onion! The rest was just beets and a walnut sauce. Again, the taste was nonexistent; this dish was a real disappointment. We also tried the beef tartare with mayonnaise. It was literally minced meat, mayonnaise, a few chopped green onions, and half an egg. It was slightly better, but it absolutely did not justify the price. Regarding the wine, you have to be very careful: the servers don't warn you that the style of wine offered is much more acidic than traditional wines. (I'm not saying the wine was bad or flawed; it's simply the style the winemaker was aiming for, but you should be informed.) The service is practically nonexistent; you have to search for the servers to order anything. Finally, when it came time to pay the bill, we pointed out to the waiter that we were leaving the wine bottle almost full. We tried to explain the lack of information during the service, but his only reaction was to smile and leave without a word.

07/03/2026: Beautiful setting, lovely presentation, it was good, however, the service was lacking. She didn't offer us the gin-based cocktail I requested, even though I asked for one with a side dish she could suggest. The same goes for the suggested dishes; we saw them before leaving, and I had to ask for wine myself because she hadn't asked me about drinks with our meal. So, the service needs improvement, please. All servers should be familiar with your products, menus, and suggestions. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

10/03/2026: Everything in this well-located little hotel is designed to ensure guest satisfaction: a warm welcome and attentive staff, a comfortable room, private parking, a restaurant with delicious food (our dog 🐕 loved it too 😃). The value for money is also excellent; we highly recommend this establishment and will gladly return.

04/02/2026: What a delightful surprise this restaurant was!!...a client, Evelyne, whom I met in Chauvigny, recommended it for lunch...easy to get to and a very pleasant atmosphere... The staff were incredibly attentive and caring (they cleared away breadcrumbs between courses and changed cutlery after each course...) and the lunch menu included an exceptionally tender and moist stew...the starter was divine and the dessert lived up to the rest of the meal...in short, a truly wonderful experience that I highly recommend!! Thank you to the entire team at Le Lion d'Or!

17/05/2026: An excellent stay at this hotel and restaurant; highly recommended! Very quiet, a short drive over to Argenton. Accessible parking. The room was simple and modest size, but clean and fresh, w little courtyard w table and chairs behind and parking right in front, and renovated bathroom. Very good restaurant!! Friendly helpful staff and management. And the best breakfast on this 4 night trip!! Fresh orange juice, good bread and cheese, and delicious "real " croissants, not those nasty little things now often found at hotel buffet breakfasts.

25/04/2026: A lovely place to stop on your way south. A friendly, family atmosphere. The room was perfectly adequate. There was a swimming pool and jacuzzi (although the jacuzzi was closed). A very warm welcome and an excellent evening meal. It alone is worth the trip. Good breakfast.

26/01/2026: We always return to this crêperie, which is the best in Rambouillet. Excellent, top-notch quality, welcome, and service. These 5 stars are well deserved.

28/04/2026: I went to this restaurant because it apparently had a good reputation, but I was ultimately very disappointed. For my appetizer, I chose the guacamole with shrimp. The shrimp were frozen, and the guacamole itself had everything except the guacamole. It also had cumin, which had absolutely no business being there. For my main course, I ordered the beef, and I have a photo to prove it. As you can see, I asked for it medium-rare. If medium is your standard, then you clearly don't know meat. However, the servers were very pleasant and charming. So, kudos to them, but the food definitely needs improvement.

05/04/2026: Very warm welcome, excellent pizza (cooked in a wood-fired oven 🔥) the desserts were very good, I recommend the tiramisu 🫠.

20/02/2026: A place I visit regularly when I'm in Nantua. I always receive a very warm welcome from both the owner and the staff. They have a great menu with wood-fired pizzas, authentic Nolo quenelles, and daily specials. I highly recommend it if you're also in the area.

16/04/2026: This is my first time stopping here, but I'll definitely be back. They were very friendly despite not speaking French. The service was excellent, the food superb, and the cheese here was amazing. Just one small thing, though it's not a big deal: the shower costs €2, even if you have dinner, they still charge you. But that's a minor issue. I was very comfortable, the food was great, and the service was fast. I recommend it to anyone visiting this area.

05/05/2026: Excellent bistro if you like a "very noisy bistro" atmosphere! The restaurant wasn't full inside on Saturday at lunchtime, and we couldn't hear ourselves speak. We were so eager to leave that we had to go eat dessert elsewhere. The food is very good. The prices are a bit touristy (it's on Place Wilson): half a duck breast is €31, for example. Imagine the price of a whole one! You'd be better off going to J'Go across from the Victor Hugo market (same owner, if we're not mistaken). In short, if you find yourself having a quiet lunch and have nothing to talk about, go for it! We'll be back when they install acoustic panels on the ceiling!!

03/05/2026: The food was very good, the welcome and service were friendly, but it was extremely noisy; impossible to hear each other, it was exhausting and ruined the experience.

10/05/2026: Nice atmosphere and music that isn't too loud. The service was friendly and spoke English for our party. They had a menu in English as well. The food has generous portions and seems very fresh. My friend tried the lamb and I had a bit of his and it was so tender and delicious that I wished I ordered it but my beef skewers were also delicious. I would eat here again.
