10/07/2025: Luckily, the sales assistants are there to save the day! I had pointed out that baguettes weren't like they used to be, that something had changed regarding their storage. Before, when I took a baguette out of my freezer after a week, it was almost the same as the first day I bought it. Today, it remains hard as a rock after thawing, inedible... just a shame. I'm not talking about Viennese pastries and other king cakes...you'll have to rethink your copy! I live and work in the countryside, so I don't go out to get my bread every day, so I stock up on baguettes.

26/12/2025: Disappointing Christmas meal. The starter was acceptable. The fish gratin was made with frozen ingredients and was of poor quality. The beef steak was very good. There were two or three small vegetables on the side. The dessert was very disappointing: a small, cloying chocolate cake on a bed of custard that looked like it came from a pre-made carton, with an industrial raspberry coulis. €50... That's overpriced.

24/12/2025: Excellent restaurant – welcoming, pleasant setting, lovely shaded terrace. I highly recommend it.

03/01/2026: Good value, tasty tartare, fast and friendly service. Dog friendly, we had lunch here with our medium size dogs and felt very welcomed.

29/08/2025: Not to over exaggerated but this was a perfect meal for an otherwise wet and windy day. Food was amazing, coffee brilliant and the creme brulee was perfect. Lovely service, nice relaxing atmosphere. Would come back to the town just to visit here.

Poêlées de Roesti au fromage selon votre envie, bleu, reblochon, munster... à un prix tout à fait correct. N'hésitez pas, patron super sympa, restaurant tout mignon, 👏

01/02/2026: We rented a bungalow last summer in this park, booking directly with the owner. It was very well-equipped and reasonably priced. The complex was quiet, the pool was lovely and clean, and the grounds were beautifully landscaped. Located in the center of the island, it's a convenient base for exploring. Shops are easily accessible. I highly recommend it.

15/12/2025: What an incredible restaurant! You can't find better in Granville. Plus, it's perfectly located on the Plat Gousset. And the chef—let's talk about him! He's practically Paul Bocuse, but funnier! The owner, Renaud, is a very good waiter; he should do stand-up comedy on the side—he's very funny too. That's all, kisses!

08/12/2025: We had a wonderful time with my sweetheart, a very warm welcome, and the food was delicious! All for a very reasonable price. We look forward to coming back! 🙂

06/01/2026: It's a disgrace, an Americano coffee + a tea for 8 euros when we had lunch an hour earlier in a pastry shop for 8.50 euros which included a hot drink, 2 pastries, a freshly squeezed orange juice and a yogurt, it really poses a problem.

30/12/2025: A real trap... too bad it's not zero stars. We ordered two mulled wines, which were served steaming hot... even the glasses were scalding hot, like they'd just come out of the microwave. To top it all off, it was acidic and undrinkable... we paid and left without a drink, it was so awful. We don't wish you happy holidays!

01/01/2026: We spent New Year's Eve at L'Eau Vive and were delighted with the festive atmosphere. The reservation was made by our friends, and there were four of us. Beautiful setting, beautifully decorated room, and the owners were very kind and welcoming. Everything was impeccable, from the aperitif to the dessert; the service was top-notch 😊. And what an atmosphere! Well done, and keep up the good work!

09/12/2025: Don’t come if you want to be discriminated and be treated very rudely by your waiter. We’re Asian and were served upstairs by an Asian looking waiter - other staff treated us nicely. The waiter who served us was so obviously discriminatory towards us, he didn’t smile once, he was so impatient and had such a rude/harsh tone, took away dishes without saying or asking anything (we were still dipping bread into the plate of escargots when he took it away), put our food down and walked away (didn’t say what it was or anything at all). When someone asked if the steak could be cooked medium rare, he immediately said “we are in france, it’s medium or rare, no medium rare” and continued on explaining in such a rude tone. A simple “no sorry” could’ve sufficed. We could see and hear he was laughing and smiling with other tables, described the dishes & said have a nice meal to other parties, etc. The food was decent, but we are travelling around france for the past 2 weeks & not once have we received such rude and racist behaviour. 07/12/2025: Terrible, I'm extremely disappointed. They put their hands on the cheese, €5 for a soda, and the service... let's not even go there.

24/11/2025: Very disappointed this Sunday with our stop at this restaurant. My wife ordered cassoulet that had clearly been simmering for a week, but most of the beans were undercooked. The duck Parmentier was a disaster; I've never seen mashed potatoes before—they were grey, so it was clearly reheated. As a result, I didn't eat anything. I would not recommend this establishment.

24/11/2025: We had a wonderful time, but there are two small points for improvement. We opted for the most expensive menu, and there were eight of us. It was a quiet Saturday evening in the off-season, and when I asked if it would be possible to change the dessert, I received a firm no. These days, in many restaurants, desserts are only available à la carte. I would have appreciated an exception on such a quiet Saturday evening; some background music would have been nice too.

07/07/2025: We were lucky to get a seat outside - and we had just walked up at a busy time. We were trying to get into another restaurant but it was too busy- and I’m so glad we got in here. The service was friendly and the chicken dish I had was absolutely gorgeous, lovely vegetables and all tasted fresh. (A few days later we went to the ‘other’ restaurant and imo it wasn’t nearly as good as this one.) I really liked it here.

09/10/2025: A great discovery, this little restaurant hidden in Viviers. Very friendly welcome, original pancakes, very good food!
