10/07/2026: The waitress did her best to take our orders with, but the language barrier did challenge things a bit. They were friendly and the service was fast enough. Delicious savory and dessert crepes.

02/07/2026: It was good but not excellent, and the service was very rushed. I found the lunch menu expensive for the quality and creativity of the dishes. 32 euros for coffee, rosé, and EPD (a local specialty) for something that wasn't exceptional was a bit pricey. The menu, without drinks of course, deserves to be under 20 euros.

08/08/2026: The location right at the summit is fantastic. I had tagliatelle Bolognese, which was good and the portion was very large. However, the price was also large – €21.50 is quite steep, even up in the mountains.

24/07/2026: After a long and difficult climb, the only thing you want is a nice place with friendly service and a cold drink. And ofcourse some fish and chips or perfect home made pasta. You will not find it on Chaussy, but you will on Madeleine. A wonderful experience after a painful climb.

01/06/2026: We had a wonderful time at this hotel-restaurant. The setting is simply magnificent, with a perfectly maintained garden, a lovely terrace, and a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The dishes were as beautiful as they were delicious: high-quality ingredients, elegant presentation, and flavors that were spot-on from start to finish. The staff also deserves a special mention. The entire team was welcoming, professional, and always smiling, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A small gesture that demonstrates their excellent service: I had forgotten my phone cable, and they kindly took the time to lend me one so I could charge my phone. Always with a smile and great kindness. An establishment I wholeheartedly recommend for the quality of its welcome, its cuisine, and its setting. We will definitely be back! 👏😊

15/10/2026: A very good experience! The menu is simple but truly high-quality, and the dishes are well-prepared! A nice wine list too! The setting is really peaceful! A minor drawback is the number of dishes with an extra charge on the menu. But we'll gladly come back! EDIT 10/15/2026: Prices have increased, with a lunch menu at €25 for a main course/dessert or €27 for a starter/main course. Three out of seven or eight main courses have an extra charge, and one out of five starters has an extra charge... €32 for the starter/main course/dessert menu. It's starting to get a bit pricey for the quality of the food...!

22/10/2026: Okay, I don't often leave comments, but this time... There are three restaurants on the square, so it's hard to choose. Only one has a smile on its face: Kevin's, so I go in! First question: Is carbonara French or Italian? Answer: French, but the chef is Italian, so it's possible to get as close as possible to the original version. I agree, and it was pure bliss! Kudos to Raphaël, the chef, and thank you to the whole team for this pure moment of pleasure. Again, well done, because I'll definitely be back, even though I'm from Lille (59).

17/08/2026: What an incredibly nice bar and ice cream shop this is. We only bought an ice cream here and it was delicious. The price is also just a bit lower than the surrounding ice cream shops. The owner is very friendly and serves a great portion of ice cream. If you are in Montignac, getting an ice cream here is highly recommended.
