03/05/2026: The food was very good. There's no fixed menu. I ordered the Alsatian-style chicken breast, which came with green peas, mushroom sauce, morel mushrooms, and gnocchi. It was better than expected, just a little small in portion.

13/04/2026: Beware! The minimum amount for credit card payments seems to be arbitrary: at the register, depending on the server, they indicate a minimum of €8. But when the customer after me naively asked about the minimum amount, the owner replied, "€1!" I pointed this out to the owner, who just mumbled an apology but still left his "€8" sign stuck to the register. Furthermore, the food is greasy and tasteless: noodles as thick as spaghetti, and broccoli stir-fried in a sticky, thick sauce. The dining room is dark and cold. A restaurant to avoid.

07/07/2026: A very pleasant place. The prices are reasonable considering the neighborhood (San Pellegrino 50cl €6, generous and delicious chocolate mousse €9). You don't need to order food to be offered large bottles of water (which isn't the case everywhere). But I particularly recommend the chocolate mousse, whether you're a little or very hungry.

23/06/2026: I went to Café Aux Fourreurs while on a business trip. The welcome was very warm, the service excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed the avocado toast on the appetizer menu. I highly recommend it!

01/06/2026: ⭐ Overall rating: 7.5/10 A great find! This African restaurant in Lyon was a wonderful discovery. I had a lovely time and, most importantly, a delicious meal. The portions were generous, flavorful, and carefully prepared. Special mention goes to the chicken: perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, and, most importantly, not dry, which is often a weak point in this type of dish. The side dishes were also excellent, with well-balanced flavors. A minor drawback was the sweet potato fries, which were unavailable during my visit. Apparently, they had been out of stock for several days. This is a bit of a shame, as they are often a popular side dish, and sweet potatoes are generally quite easy to find. As for the ambiance, the terrace is perfect for enjoying the nice weather, which is very pleasant. However, it has limited seating and opens directly onto the street. Inside, the space is adequate, but it was quite warm during my visit, with noticeable cooking smells. Air conditioning or better ventilation would significantly improve customer comfort. The service also deserves a mention. The woman single-handedly manages the kitchen, reception, service, and payments. Despite this heavy workload, she remains cheerful and does her best to satisfy customers. This can sometimes lead to a slight wait, but it's understandable. My ratings: * Reception: 8/10 * Food: 8/10 * Value for money: 8/10 * Cleanliness: 7/10 * Atmosphere and comfort: 7/10 In short, this is a place worth discovering for the quality of its cuisine and its authentic flavors. 24/05/2026: This is an establishment I frequented some twenty years ago, when it still operated under the "Relais du Silence" label, a chain that has since dissolved. And during a seasonal stay in the region, I rediscovered it with all its former charm and picturesque character, which I particularly appreciate. What I love and seek out are inns because they provide lodging and meals for travelers, and this hotel-restaurant has retained this valued principle along with its quality of service.
