20/09/2025: Strange...we stopped attracted by the mussels and fries sign...but the owner told us that there weren't any, that it wasn't the right time! Yet it was September...we decided to stay and take the €14.50 menu. The pancake had cheap ingredients and the dessert crepe was only cooked on one side and the cheap sweet cider was hot. In short, avoid it.

11/11/2025: This restaurant in Saint Palais offers a very generous wood pigeon menu. It includes vegetable soup as a starter, eel as a first course, wood pigeon with capucin sauce as a main course, an assortment of desserts, and coffee. The wood pigeon with capucin sauce is prepared in front of you over a fireplace in the traditional way. The result is remarkable and absolutely delicious. Reservations are recommended. The dining room can be a bit noisy when the restaurant is full. The welcome is warm and the service impeccable.

01/01/2026: Restaurant to avoid. Nice staff and setting, but the food is disastrous. The tarte flambée is sparsely filled and very bland. Some dishes, like the onion tart, are clearly reheated from the day before.

29/12/2025: A small restaurant with a very limited menu. By 1:00, they were already closing down new customers. We had two typical dishes, which were delicious and with decent portions. There's no internet access inside, and there's no Wi-Fi.

10/01/2026: Stale waffle. A shame and very disappointing. At this level, it's better not to offer them outside of mealtimes.

22/12/2025: Excellent restaurant! We had a wonderful meal in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was delicious, the service impeccable, and the staff very friendly and helpful. We will gladly return!

08/12/2025: Having been coming here for a while, we're disappointed with how the restaurant has changed: the manager's welcome is unfriendly, there are arguments between the manager and the servers (which the customers can hear!), and the seats are in terrible condition (they're falling apart). It's a real shame because we used to appreciate one of the waitresses.

30/11/2025: Very disappointing! Poor quality ribeye steak for such a high price. Dauphinoise potatoes were too dry... The Hippopotamus brand has gone downhill considerably. It's a shame, but I won't be going back.

06/11/2025: Avoid at all costs... The flank steak was like shoe leather, I had to send the plate back, the fries were undercooked and soggy... The meat was raw and not rare... In short, the cook should find another job.

04/10/2025: Portions are small for what you pay for. Food was very average, should have taken their menu fixed instead. Server wasn’t very helpful explaining the few dishes available in English and also wasn’t very helpful when we asked if they had a kids menu (she just bluntly said ”No” without making any other suggestions). We were surprised because other reviewers said this was a very accommodating place to eat with small children. We did get a booster seat which was appreciate, but would have appreciated a recommendation for a kid-friendly meal. I ordered a mackarel fish that came with some grilled vegetables. The sauce with it was very good however. My husband ordered the €28 steak but it arrived cold in the middle (not properly sous-vide’d) and on a cutting board instead of a warm plate to keep it warm. We left feeling hungry for an expensive meal and ended up going to the restaurant next door to eat more.

22/01/2026: A warm and friendly welcome awaited us as we enjoyed our kebab on the premises. We were offered a complimentary aperitif. The kebab was beautifully presented and a generous portion. The sauces were served individually in small cups, allowing for precise portion control. The kebab itself was of good quality. However, it should be eaten quickly as it cools down rapidly. As for the dessert: a pleasant surprise in the best possible way. The combination of the two elements was well-chosen and truly delicious. We'll definitely be back.

19/01/2026: Terrible fries, tasteless, expensive for what you get; these competitors next door are better, I advise you. I regret it.

21/11/2025: So I went there with my family during the summer holidays, and the service was really quick and good. However, a customer, probably a regular, was talking really loudly and was having a beer with the owner in peace and quiet, but we ignored it... My food arrived; I think I ordered a chicken salad, and THERE WAS AN INSECT! HELP!!!! Then I had two scoops of ice cream, and the price was a bit high for the quantity. Otherwise, the waitress was super pleasant and really kind.

07/10/2025: I really like this restaurant; its food is very good, with fresh, healthy, and very well-prepared ingredients. And its authentic French character makes it my favorite restaurant near the port of Antibes. I prefer to go there outside of busy days or hours, and I watch the veterans who meet there, chat amicably with the owner, and reminisce about their adventures at sea. It's not a Pagnol painting because we're in Antibes, but it's one of the rare living and authentic portraits of Antibes, daughter of the Mediterranean. And the food is good!

14/11/2025: Five-star service, a custom-made sandwich to accommodate dietary restrictions, and friendly, attentive staff. Both the sandwiches and pastries were excellent (especially the lemon cake!).

26/10/2025: We had lunch at the restaurant Au Chat Bleu, to our great pleasure. This establishment, which accepted us without a reservation (Thank you!!!), is located high up in a very pretty little village and is worth the detour: a magnificent setting, charming interior decoration giving pride of place to cats, lovely view from the windows or the terrace, family cooking, well-served dishes, friendly staff. We tasted a mixed platter and two local beers, we recommend both!

28/09/2025: Restoration, move on, tasteless, cold and not good industrial charcuterie and all that for 100 euros, change of owner in 2023 that's why, very disappointed

10/01/2026: The 5 stars is only for their hot chocolate and the atmosphere we didn't eat there. We wanted to try the hot chocolate at Carette but the queue was too long. Their homemade whipped cream is so good much better than Carette's . Hot chocolate is fine and 20 euro cheaper than the one at Carette

04/01/2026: Ma Bourgogne is a classic Parisian brasserie located right on Place des Vosges, with a very pleasant atmosphere and an unmistakably traditional setting. Sitting here feels authentic and lively, especially thanks to the location and the typical brasserie décor. The food is good and well executed, with a menu focused on traditional French dishes. I tried the onion soup, which was comforting and correctly prepared, and the boeuf bourguignon, served in a cast-iron pot, rich and flavorful, although not particularly memorable compared to other places in Paris offering the same dish. Overall, everything was enjoyable, but nothing truly stood out. It’s a solid choice if you are in the area and want a reliable brasserie experience, however there are better options in Paris if food is your main priority. Good atmosphere, decent food, but not a must-visit.
