02/10/2026: Some of the mussels had a peculiar smell; they must have contaminated the others, resulting in stomach cramps all night. If you want to eat the worst mussels of your life, come here!
And they weren't even cleaned. Find a new chef!
20/09/2026: Two sangrias. €10, for very little sangria and a large quantity of ice cubes… in fact, it was just water. And if it had even been good…

01/09/2026: What a lovely discovery! A small restaurant that my cousin and her husband introduced us to. A small menu… but everything was fresh and delicious. The fish dish was exquisite, and those who opted for meat were delighted. And what can I say about the French toast… sensational! In short, a great place to remember!

17/06/2026: Good basic B&B with air-conditioning, good WiFi, and tasty breakfast included.
Has a bar that also serves pizza in the evening. Other restaurants and a Carrefour nearby.
Only concern was a lack of tea and coffee but found out later this was an extra cost option.
Very pleased and will definitely consider chain for future French visits.
04/06/2026: I've booked at this B&B several times and honestly, I've never had any problems. The rooms are very nice and clean (they just need a small bin in the room because the one in the bathroom isn't big enough), the staff are always very kind and welcoming. The hotel is well located. No problems at all 🤗

The interior dining room and toilets are a bit dated, but the dishes we chose were delicious and generous, at a very reasonable price (Champsaur salad with tourtons and cured ham for €17; ravioli gratin with ceps for €23).
09/08/2026: A must-try if you're passing through Vars!
Warm and delicious, you won't be disappointed. Generous portions with quality ingredients and unbeatable value for money.

30/08/2026: Delicious galettes and crêpes with generous fillings. Highly recommended. We arrived at 9:00 AM and the service was very smooth and quick. Kudos to the chef, excellent waiter, and a super friendly owner. I recommend it.

25/09/2026: We stumbled across this amazing wee gem by pure chance whilst exploring the local villages. What a find!!!!! The staff were brilliant and the food was unexpectedly exceptional! A thin butternut squash, beef carpaccio and the best tomato salad I've ever had. All washed down with a couple of glasses of Volnay......in Volnay! The attention to detail and the knowledge of flavours was first class. 👏👏👏👏

28/08/2026: Extremely disappointed, especially since we used to eat very well here. Beef fillet with morels and homemade fries. So, frozen fries, a completely tasteless sauce, and most importantly, no morels. €26, no less! Honestly, apart from the meat being tender, there was absolutely nothing to it. I should mention that I finished the first slice of beef and ate the two morels that were on my plate; it would have been a shame to leave them.
26/07/2026: Perfect!!! For my first time, it was fantastic. The food and service were excellent, everything was great. The owners are very welcoming and the prices are reasonable.

05/10/2026: A pleasant surprise awaited us at Les Frangins bar: a very generous and delicious charcuterie/cheese board, a decent vegetarian salad, and some very enjoyable amber beers. The welcome and service were excellent; in short, a lovely time spent on the terrace.

However, the service leaves much to be desired, with a waiter constantly checking on you every two seconds to see if you've made your selection and a manager who loves to stare at the payment terminal while you're entering your PIN! This somewhat spoils the experience.
