06/07/2026: The setting is very nice; we were able to watch a rugby match that evening. The prices are very reasonable. However, we felt we weren't treated like the other regulars. First, we didn't have time for an aperitif. The waiter forgot to bring us peanuts when we asked (even though almost every other table had them) and brought us our main courses directly. We also noticed that the waiter brought extra desserts to neighboring tables. There was clearly a difference in treatment between regulars and tourists like us.

03/06/2026: A warm welcome, delicious and generous seasonal dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If you're passing through Tonnerre, don't hesitate! Be warned, though, the house cocktail—cherry cream, ratafia, and crémant—is as delicious as it is potent. After that, you'll see life in color, even if the weather is gray and the road winds even if it's straight... I highly recommend it.

02/07/2026: What a disappointment! This restaurant has clearly gone downhill. The food was mediocre at best; my wife's was cold. The service was incredibly slow, and the waitress wasn't very friendly. Thankfully, the caramel cheesecake is still delicious, but that's not enough for the price; there are much better options nearby.

27/04/2026: A warm welcome, no complaints there. Beautiful mountain views, they're captivating! Good breakfast selection. Clean room. A minor drawback: the meals lacked variety in vegetarian options; two choices would be nice.

12/03/2026: I'd already been to this place once before, a long time ago, with friends, and we were charmed. I came back with those same friends, and this time I was completely won over. We shook hands with the owner upon arrival, he seated us in the best spot (they're all the best spots), and the bottle of wine arrived. What more could you ask for? The andouillette was perfectly browned, the ribeye cooked to perfection. A true bistro, a real neighborhood canteen. I highly recommend it and I'll be back!

14/07/2026: Amazing hidden gem. Cheese forward menu (cheese cave is AWESOME!), but duck, salad, and other dishes are good as well. Wine selection is perfect for the menu and prices are reasonable. Staff is kind and thoughtful. Just try to be respectful with "all you can eat cheese"... don't take large slices and leave a lot behind

03/06/2026: Only go here if you like cheese! This is quite unusual and unlike any place ive visited. It is literally cheese for starter, mains and pudding. All other options are off. The owner is is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable on cheese and wine. There is a special climate controlled cell for the cheese which you can visit. I'm not sure I would want to go again the cheese was totally fantastic but I would like to mix it up with something that wasn't cheese.

19/06/2026: Come for the food! As others have mentioned, coffee isn’t their strong point. However they have great pastries and sandwiches, both for dine in and take away. The service is friendly and fast. Nice spot to hang out for a bit and right near the Machines. Came 2x during my weekend in Nantes.

19/06/2026: We spent a week in Nantes for a university project. We're Italian students, and since our dorm room is close to this bakery, they always came here for breakfast. I tried croissants, almond croissants, and madeleines. Everything was delicious; I think the best was the fantastic croissant. I tried both the ristretto and the regular espresso, but I think the ristretto was too ristretto. However, everything was very good, and I was especially curious about the savory food, which looked delicious, especially the baking and bread. It's nice that the baker cooks and bakes in full view. Beautiful and delicious. Keep up the good work!!!!

06/05/2026: Gluten and lactose intolerance issues. Everything was done to ensure I could have a great time with friends without worrying about my dietary restrictions. Some of the products were locally sourced. I really enjoyed it. I recommend it and thank the whole team. The waitress was very friendly and pleasant. I recommend it.

29/05/2026: Fantastic welcome. I had a set menu: goat cheese and honey toast for a starter, mussels with chorizo ​​and cheese for dessert. It was excellent. The sauce for the mussels was amazing, and the portion size was perfect for me. I'll be back (it wasn't my first time, actually).

01/07/2026: Very disappointed. I sincerely doubt the legitimacy of this restaurant's reputation, which has no basis for such prices. There's nothing creative about the food, and the ingredients are neither well-prepared nor of good quality. We waited far too long between courses. And the atmosphere on the terrace could be improved; the furniture isn't very inviting. Positive points: the servers are very friendly, the presentation of the dishes is elegant, and the interior is beautiful. But everything else is unfortunately negative; the products that are supposed to be homemade are in reality anything but: industrial salad dressing, frozen vegetables cooked IN WATER (?????), industrial whipped cream, tiramisu that had just been defrosted… What's scandalous is that the menu lists dishes that are clearly no longer available. For example, the starter "Crispy roasted farm-raised goat cheese, spiced blueberries, mixed arugula, toasted almonds, saffron caramel": where were the blueberry spices? The arugula was completely absent; instead, it was just plain lettuce, the kind you might find in a brasserie. I seriously doubt the goat cheese was farm-raised; its flavor was too subtle and didn't really smell like a farm (real farm-raised goat cheese has a strong aroma and flavor). As for the saffron caramel, it was nowhere to be seen. I really don't understand how we ended up with a dish we didn't order. Regarding the main course, my partner ordered a sirloin steak, which was impossible to chew. He had to abandon it. It's a shame because we hate to waste food. As for me, my dish was watery; The tarragon sauce was actually a coriander sauce, which nonetheless helped to flavor the vegetables, which, I remind you, were boiled—unbelievable for a restaurant. I had cherry tomatoes in my dish, and I didn't understand why. They were warm because they had absorbed the temperature of the dish. As for dessert, nothing was homemade and everything was far too sweet.

01/07/2026: This restaurant is overpriced for the quality of the ingredients. The staff tries their best to compensate for the poor food with their cheerfulness and attractive presentation, which is nothing but an illusion. I absolutely do not recommend it.
