16/06/2026: A beautiful, well-restored manor house with comfortable rooms. The value for money is excellent, making it easy to stay for two or three nights, as it's an ideal base for exploring the region (Locronan, Douarnenez Bay, etc.). As an added bonus, the staff are professional and very friendly; this hotel ticks all the right boxes.

07/06/2026: We went there for a friend's wedding: very well organized, perfect aperitif, almost perfect meal (the gratin was slightly overcooked and a bit too salty, but otherwise perfect). Smiling and pleasant staff, clean and tidy rooms, complimentary coffee and tea (in the room, with a pod machine). There's even a curtain on the (glass) door for added privacy. Being up high, you don't have to worry about the wind. Breathtaking views. Thank you for your hospitality!

30/03/2026: We eat here very often when we're in Cavalaire. The owner is very approachable and communicative. Don't forget he's busy and can't chat for three hours. He's on his own and deserves it. He works hard. The food and prices are very reasonable. Criticism is easy. Those who are unhappy can move on, but don't ruin this business for the average French person. Keep it up, J M, don't change a thing.

12/06/2026: If I order a medium-rare rump steak and the raw meat is visible on the first cut, and then after I send it back so it can be cooked medium but that doesn't work either, then forget about grilling altogether. We weren't the only ones who sent the grilled food back.

01/07/2026: The bread here is excellent. It's worth noting that it's primarily specialty bread, a bit like German bread, so it might not be to everyone's taste, and there are no baguettes, despite the traditional approach! In any case, when you eat a slice of this bread, you can feel that it's nourishing and you understand the nutritional difference between these breads and flours! Some of the specialty breads are a bit pricey at first glance, but that's the price of quality and sourcing excellent (local) flours. The basic loaves are more or less the same price as at other bakeries... It's fortunate that there are still artisans of this caliber... P.S. The bread is sold in some organic stores, but it's cheaper in the shop... ;-)

30/06/2026: As a resident of the 5th arrondissement, I must say this is the best bread in the neighborhood. They are all excellent and keep very well.

23/03/2026: We enjoyed a good meal with a generous portion of homemade fries at a very reasonable price. Unfortunately, the service was subpar, with an extremely unpleasant, even aggressive, waitress!

26/11/2025: A very bad experience at La Caverne des Artistes. The galettes and crêpes are clearly lacking in quality: soggy batter, often low-end and tasteless fillings—one wonders if the ingredients come from a discount wholesaler rather than a real chef. The prices are high—absolutely no value for money. The service is appalling when the restaurant is finally open; the welcome needs improvement, and you can't rely on either the menu or the advertised opening hours. As it stands, I strongly advise against going: it's best to avoid it altogether.

27/07/2026: The view of the river was beautiful, but I'm giving this rating because the salad 🥗 was damaged; the leaves weren't good to eat. My mother also ordered a salad (not the same one) and it was the same—not good. It's a shame because the restaurant looked nice. When I told the staff, they didn't say anything; we were impressed and paid for it.

06/07/2026: I'm unfortunately disappointed with my experience here. We waited over 40 minutes for our food, which was really not good. I was served truffle pasta shells that resembled sickening mashed potatoes. I was later told they didn't have enough ingredients to make my dish, so they made do with what they had… I did appreciate being offered a different dish at the end. The service wasn't great: while some of the servers were a bit dismissive, others were very kind and tried their best to make up for each other's mistakes.

01/08/2026: An unpleasant dining experience courtesy of the chef/owner who lacks any degree of hospitality. The meal was average at best and nowhere near the level that would allow his obnoxious remarks to pass. A one-man show who underperforms on both fronts. Surprised this was awarded a Bib Gourmand.

09/07/2026: The final dish in a 4 course dinner put me in the hospital for 2 days (the only one my wife didn’t also have as she had the 3 course menu). They had only one other table booked that evening and according to my doctor must have served me spoiled food based on my diagnosis. Skip, go to any number of lovely other restaurants in the area. Unsure how this is ranked as a Bib.

25/03/2026: Very kind and friendly staff. Highest level of customer service. Quality of products. Excellent prices. I had three staff members available for my table: Stephane, Fabrice, and Rohnno. The most important thing is the care and kindness towards the customer. Not everyone feels at home while abroad. I highly recommend it.

17/03/2026: It's a very ordinary restaurant, but I don't know, it's a bit uncomfortable. The menu is fine, and they don't bother with unusual dishes—it's what you'd expect from a hotel restaurant. The good thing is that the prices are the most affordable I've seen in the area so far. The foie gras was good, and we'd already tried the butter at another place before. I ordered a hamburger, and it was well-made, and the fries were cooked perfectly. I can't remember the name of the sandwich they served—typical French food!
