23/05/2026: We were very glad to find a place in Foncine-le-Bas as the weather was bad. The manager was available and accommodating regarding our arrival time. The hostel and the room were a bit dated but adequate for our needs as a refuge. However, €225 for two people for this room, a bland menu (a small chicken leg of unknown origin and a potato gratin for the main course, and a homemade rhubarb tart for dessert, which was appreciated). Breakfast was also quite basic and of poor quality. We ordered two minimalist ham and white baguette sandwiches for the next day. The owner seemed exhausted from work and was rather rushed. The value for money was definitely not there. We then stayed at the Hôtel des Clochettes du Risoux in La Chapelle des Bois, a much better place for significantly less money. I should point out that my partner thinks I'm fair, but the poor boss, miskina, it's not right for her.

13/04/2026: Great place, I highly recommend it. The setting is lovely and has a nice old-fashioned feel. Special mention goes to the absolutely delicious pizza crepes.

17/07/2026: The food was alright, but the service was absolutely terrible. I just asked the waitress for some napkins because there was bird poop on the table and she pulled such an unhappy face at me. It was really rude of her.

10/06/2026: No dogs allowed. It's like saying no to kids coming with their parents. We used to go there almost every morning when we walked our little dog. Every time I go to buy my croissant, I get a comment, which isn't pleasant. It's ruined the enjoyment of going since we spend all day with her (my dog). Not allowing dogs is a choice, and we've chosen not to go anymore.

08/06/2026: Excellent home-style cooking, very friendly and welcoming service. A beautifully decorated place; we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The couscous is to die for.

02/06/2026: The couscous is incredible, from the semolina to the meat. The service is excellent; you can go there without hesitation.

25/05/2026: On our way to the airport, we dared (as the name says). This was our last restaurant before flying home from one the food capitals... And as we had done and enjoyed many times during our trip, we picked a random town with a local restaurant in Bron (Lyon). We took the standard (very popular in Europe) entrée, main and dessert. Once we had ordered and eaten our entrées, we waited a good 35_45 minutes and started noticing all other tables had been served. We politely mentioned this and asked if they had forgotten us. "No, no, it's coming out right now... " the waitress said only to come back and tell us that indeed they had forgotten to tell the kitchen. Ok, this happens and being on vacation we didn't mind too much. We were told by (the Owner? Manager? ) none of our mains were left and to take a main something off the menu even if a little pricier. We stuck to the cheapest, the fish n chips (2). He mentioned this would be quite good. And, hopeful, we waited again. When the plate came, mine was cold and uncooked. Unaware of this I took a few bites but 50% of the fish was raw... Not good at all. Our time spent at the restaurant was now over 90 minutes and I had no time to wait for a third attempt so I ate some fries. When the owner came I mentioned and showed him the raw fish. I received a tiny apology. And we ordered strawberries dessert which came promptly. Quite good. We paid (after waiting 15 minutes as there was a lineup at one point of 10 people. My significant other and I have hospitality experience... This was a terrible experience and not dealt properly. They were under staffed.

07/07/2026: Excellent value for money. I especially loved their shrimp wonton soup! We also tried the Chinese hot pot. The meat portion was very generous, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

08/07/2026: A Beautiful Garden Setting and Delicious, Flexible Dining! The restaurant has a great setup with two dining options: an indoor/outdoor area with a larger menu that requires reservations, and a more casual walk-in area with high tables outside and a few tables inside. We tried the casual, no-reservation option and loved it. The garden view is absolutely stunning, with Cathedral Saint-Pierre providing a spectacular backdrop. The menu offers plenty of variety alongside a fresh daily rotation. The food was delicious, and the staff was incredibly nice and welcoming.

07/07/2026: The first impression was pleasant. The staff was attentive. We were greeted and offered a table (which we had reserved in advance). The second impression was of the food. We thoroughly enjoyed our order: an appetizer and two main courses (octopus and fish, as we love them). The fish was juicy. A big thank you for the beetroot side dish (just like in Ukraine 😎). The only downside was the stifling heat. I understand it's summer, that it's hot. But I couldn't relax and fully enjoy my lunch because of the heat. I will definitely come back to try other dishes. 🤫

26/07/2026: Excellent place. We had sea bream served with mashed potatoes and a delicious sauce! The staff was fantastic. Fast service.

22/07/2026: We had lunch as a family. We used to eat at our neighbor's, but were disappointed, so we came here and weren't disappointed either. It's certainly a bit more expensive, but it's worth it; we thoroughly enjoyed everything from the appetizer to the dessert. The staff was excellent, there wasn't much of a wait, and we were able to store all our luggage at the back of the restaurant, with the manager's permission. I thank her again and highly recommend this restaurant.

16/07/2026: The food is really good, it's not exprimental or extravagant but really good. I ate there most nights for my holiday and the staff and atmosphere were great. No on rushed you off your table when you were done. There was a great set menu if you are on a budget. Really can't recommend it enough.

13/07/2026: I think this street is the most charming in Cannes, a truly enchanting experience, sometimes with lovely live music at the beginning! It's really quite charming! As for the restaurant, the setting is pleasant and clean. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming! We were served quickly, which is a real treat when you have to wait three hours to pay in some places. The food is delicious; we've been several times and it's always a delight. We highly recommend this restaurant!

19/07/2026: If you just want a simple coffee and a drink, look elsewhere! Not only is it very expensive, but the service is also unfriendly. A smile must be in the tip, "maybe"...

18/07/2026: It is the third time we came back during our holiday. Good food, super friendly and fast service, great location. We loved it !

03/06/2026: We waited in front of the window for the opening. We were joined by girls who had been there the year before and praised the food and service. Unfortunately, the restaurant has been closed for several days. Perhaps permanently.
