23/05/2026: The receptionist was disrespectful, just to ruin the moment. We are shocked and disappointed by the receptionist's behavior!

16/05/2026: Charming hotel on the shores of Lake Annecy. The person who greeted us was smiling and very kind. Regarding the room, it was small but sufficient for a one or two-night stay. The room was clean, the bed linens were perfect, and the bedding was very comfortable. I wasn't as fond of the decor, which I found a bit dated, but that's just my opinion. The bathroom, however, was very nice: a large shower cubicle and a hairdryer available – perfect. We weren't able to have dinner at the hotel on Wednesday evening as the restaurant was closed that night. We had breakfast; drinks are served, but personally, I prefer to serve myself. I didn't find the breakfast exceptional; there wasn't much choice, although there were cold cuts, yogurt, compotes, cheeses, pastries, bread, butter, and jams. Being able to have breakfast overlooking the lake is really lovely.

12/07/2026: The Wool Socks is our favourite pub in the 1950 village, and we make a point of coming back every time we’re here. Ingrid and Bib are fantastic hosts and always make everyone feel so welcome. The atmosphere is brilliant, the drinks are great, and they even serve proper full pints—which is a rare treat in France! They show all the major sporting events too, making it the perfect place to watch the game with friends. Whether you’re stopping in after a day in the mountains or just fancy a relaxed drink, this place is an absolute must. We can’t wait to come back!

11/07/2026: Probably the worst Guinness I’ve ever had, staff were friendly but if you call yourself an Irish pub and serve a flat Guinness in the wrong glass with zero foam and a weird smell.. sorry but that’s 1star

11/07/2026: The staff were absolutely lovely, but it's an absolute disgrace to serve Guinness of this quality. I've never seen anything like it. I'm willing to withdraw my review if things improve.

15/07/2026: The setting is lovely, right by the canal... Luckily, because we had plenty of time to admire it... The service was interminable for rather ordinary food. Ideal if you're not in a hurry and not particularly hungry.

30/06/2026: This is a restaurant frequented by many workers. First, you pay €17, then you can enter the dining room. There's a large and delicious appetizer buffet, followed by a choice of two main courses and various desserts. Wine and water are included as needed, along with coffee. Don't hold back on the appetizer, as the main course isn't for those with a big appetite. The staff was quick and friendly. Don't expect a quiet atmosphere, but the buffet more than makes up for it.

11/06/2026: Roadside restaurant in Le Folgoët. Very well located, I hadn't made a reservation, but I was welcomed. Choice of appetizer (cured meats, crudités), main course and side dish, as well as dessert. Very pleasant and friendly staff.

07/06/2026: I had a very harrowing train journey with a serious accident on the line, and I had to intervene as a medical professional. So, after that event, I needed some comfort. Epikur had caught my eye for a long time, and I thought it was the right moment. The place looked nice, and the menu really had everything I like. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try anything. Upon entering, I was told they were sold out. I left feeling quite perplexed because it was just 2 PM, and all the chairs were already on the tables, the counter was empty, and the place was supposed to close at 2:30 PM. It's hard to believe that in a restaurant-café, there wouldn't even be a single drink left 30 minutes before closing time. I went back a second time, and the response was curt, with eyes rolled; I could tell I'd really been inconveniencing them. I'm sorry to have bothered you so much; just think about the image you're projecting. And if you're really being cleaned out before closing time, it would be wise to adjust your hours.

02/04/2026: A great place with a fantastic atmosphere and delicious food

01/03/2026: A small, very cozy restaurant where they even prepare the meat on a grill right there in the restaurant. We went there because of the good reviews. Reservations are absolutely essential. You can also make them online, but you have to leave a €50 deposit per person! The restaurant is therefore very busy. This was also reflected in the service: impersonal, rushed, and not very communicative. We had a Savoyarde fondue, which was extremely runny. The cheese and white wine didn't blend at all. The green salad was quite tasteless, and the accompanying bread often fell apart in the fondue. The ham was nothing special either. The red wine was too cold. We also had dessert and coffee. Before we had even finished the coffee, the bill was placed on the table WITHOUT us asking. So, for us, it's quite clear – we can do without it.

04/08/2026: A very pleasant experience. Very reasonable prices, very friendly service, and while the food wasn't exceptional, it was good. Recommended.

02/08/2026: The service was very average, and the ice cream was truly mediocre, served in already warm glass bowls. I ordered a yogurt-flavored ice cream, which arrived much more melted than the other two. I felt sick. I won't be returning and certainly don't recommend this place.
