29/10/2026: A full set menu (starter, main course, dessert, a quarter liter of wine, and coffee) was advertised at 22 or 24 euros. We were told that the daily special was no longer available and that we could instead choose a dish from the à la carte menu. The final bill came to almost 50 euros... so there's a 25 euro difference between the daily special and an à la carte dish?! And I didn't even order the most expensive option. It's outrageous, especially since it's not exactly fine dining.

05/10/2026: A great find this lunchtime… A calm atmosphere, a very pleasant and efficient waitress, and the homemade hamburger and its sauce at Au St Marcelin were a real treat! 👍 I definitely plan to come back and highly recommend it! ++++++ Thank you to the whole team! 🙏

20/01/2026: A very pleasant restaurant with a breathtaking view. The setting is peaceful and calm, the service and welcome were very pleasant, the pizzas are excellent, as are the other dishes on the menu. I highly recommend it. I will definitely be back.

14/08/2026: I've been a regular at this inn with my family for several years now. The owners are always very friendly and welcoming. The menu is varied, with options for everyone. Most of the food comes directly from their garden, which is a real plus. The portions are always generous and can be adjusted if needed. The prices are very reasonable considering the generous portions. I highly recommend it 😊

22/07/2026: What a shame, because the food was good; we had the €33 set menu, but the service was dreadful and our order incomplete. Luckily, the flies kept us company and lightened the mood. Unless it was our late hour, 8:15 pm, that made it so difficult (we did call ahead, though). We won't be back, but I don't think the owners care at all.

01/09/2026: ⭐️⭐️ September 1st, I want to clarify that this review concerns the older gentleman, without glasses and of short stature, and not the other waiter, who is, on the contrary, very kind and welcoming. This morning, in the middle of a heatwave, I simply asked for a glass of water. Instead of bothering to pour it properly, he gave me a tiny glass of water that seemed to have already been poured. Frankly, I find that particularly unacceptable, especially in this heat. A minimum of attention and consideration towards customers, even for a simple request for water, seems like the very least one could expect. Luckily, the other person at the bar is much more pleasant.

25/02/2026: The experience could have been good with less of a wait (1 hour to take our order, 30+ minutes for the starter despite the restaurant being two-thirds full!). We asked for the wait to be expedited, but the waitress quickly brushed us off. The dishes were fairly good, although the meat was undercooked (the rare was blue and the well-done was just rare), and there were no fries. We do not recommend it.

16/02/2026: A small restaurant with wood-fired cooking that makes all the difference. 🔥 You can taste the quality and authenticity in every bite. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming; you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. The owner and staff are truly lovely, smiling, and attentive. You can feel their genuine passion and desire to please their customers. We had a wonderful time, and it was also very good value for money. I highly recommend this place and will gladly return! 😊

30/09/2026: Excellent experience at the Hotel des Fauvettes in St Léger Les Mélèzes. The owners were very welcoming and professional, and the food was perfect—breakfast and dinner were both generous. The room was very clean, and they were both wonderful, ensuring we had a fantastic two-night stay. It makes us want to return! I highly recommend it!

30/08/2026: The crepes were delicious. There was a wide selection of different crepes. The prices were reasonable. However, the price of €7 for a 0.5-liter beer was a bit steep.

19/07/2026: Superb, authentic setting. Excellent welcome, kindness, and friendliness. The products are made on-site using produce from the farm. The quality is exceptional. I highly recommend it if you are in Périgueux and the surrounding area.
