31/07/2026: We went to this restaurant for lunch and were totally disappointed; the portions were small compared to the price, as was the size of the meat.

29/07/2026: The restaurant lives up to its name. We were indeed ambushed. The menu wasn't explained, and the portions were small. We ordered pasta Bolognese that tasted watery with undercooked carrots. We also tried the pinsas (Trufade), which were overcooked, practically burnt, and piled high with onions. We were disappointed with the experience so much that we went elsewhere for dessert. The bar area, however, offers good cocktails.

05/07/2026: A truly wonderful discovery! Le Charolais is exactly the kind of place we love. Simple, efficient, and of very high quality. If you have a little time, take the opportunity to chat with the owner, a passionate restaurateur. The ultimate dish is the rib of beef with aligot (the best of the many we've had elsewhere). The Breton brunch on Sunday morning is fantastic! A real success. We will be back.

17/07/2026: Breakfast break for two with a wide selection of drinks and snacks after a 5.5-hour drive. Friendly, welcoming staff. Located inside the Leclerc supermarket.

07/06/2026: We received a very warm welcome with our two young children. The food and prices were more than reasonable for a village brasserie. Thank you! If we return to the Morestel market, we will definitely come back to eat.

13/07/2026: We traveled over 750km to spend a wonderful time at L'Eveil des Sens... and the Chef's magic potion worked perfectly! 😜 It has to be said that Joël puts his heart and soul into everything he does, from his infused rums to the preparation of his dishes and the atmosphere he creates among his guests. It's always a pleasure to chat after the meal until the wee hours! Thank you, Joël, we'll be back, we promise!

22/06/2026: An extraordinary discovery! Refined dishes with fragrant and original flavors, and contrasting textures...the chef is an artist! What's more, he's full of humor and joie de vivre. A truly wonderful, convivial atmosphere!

30/05/2026: A traditional Alsatian restaurant offering good, home-style cooking. The rump steaks were tender and cooked to a perfect medium, the fries were golden brown, and the market salad was varied and fresh. The price-performance ratio was good, and the service was friendly and attentive.

18/07/2026: Don't eat the poutine: it's made with leftover dried-out fries, the bacon is dry and very greasy. The cheese sauce isn't good. Disappointing. I hope they improve. Last year, they had excellent chimichurri chorizo. I hope they can go back to the old menu or the old chef. Otherwise, the atmosphere is nice and the beer is good.

28/06/2026: The boss is ungrateful... A waitress told me a price, and when it came time to pay, the boss added one euro more!!! I pointed it out to him, and he said in a very unprofessional tone... "If it's too expensive, go somewhere else." 😡😡😡😡

27/06/2026: Wally's is THE coffee shop in Lille, an institution! A true home, run by a real family who generously, skillfully, and passionately manage their establishment! Their Fii coffee is delicious and has a remarkable character (believe me, I drink a lot of coffee...). A business we love, one that deserves support in this world of giants.

26/04/2026: We ate at the restaurant on a Sunday at lunchtime, on the terrace. One of the only tables open on Sunday in the area. Friendly welcome, quick service, and excellent food: a hamburger with real meat, Roquefort sauce, and real bread… the fries were good. 19 euros. Very nice and delicious ice cream for dessert… It's worth getting off the motorway for the trip!

22/04/2026: My first evening as an active young retiree, sensitive to good accordion music ("scribemétal"), flute, lyre, banjo... and eager to learn the steps of polka, Scotch, mazurka, and bourrée in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere (without getting a big head). I haven't had lunch or dinner yet, but I'm enjoying a traditional dance evening with 16 fantastic musicians and about 30 dancers from local associations in the Gironde region: Cadansa, Traderidera, Mascaret Basque... The owner is hardworking and fully committed to this friendly, cultural, and musical exchange between instrumental experts and dance instructors. And let's not forget the newcomers, who are always warmly welcomed, supported, and pampered by the wise veterans! I highly recommend you try the experience and meet all these warm people (in these times it's a treasure trove of positive energy) Françoise B.

08/03/2026: The Bistro offers musical entertainment, e.g., on the 1st Friday of each month from September to June, a traditional dance with music provided by a collective of musicians, open to everyone.

29/07/2026: Clean rooms, no air conditioning, bar and restaurant closed. No reception. In 7 days I saw one (1) employee only once. In the room the air conditioning was replaced by a 20 cm fan. Hotel to be used only if there is no alternative.

23/07/2026: Room booked for a stay at Europa-Park, located about 30 minutes away by car. The location is ideal: everything is close by in Erstein, especially shops. As for the room, it's adequate for the price. It's clear they've tried to modernize it, but a few improvements are still needed, particularly regarding the blankets, which are outdated and uncomfortable. The rest is satisfactory, although the bed could be a bit bigger. The bathroom is quite modern. The main drawbacks concern cleanliness: the room hadn't been dusted, and we saw three spiders in three nights. This is definitely something that needs improvement. Despite this, I recommend this establishment for its excellent value for money, its convenient location, and its friendly and welcoming staff.

21/07/2026: This restaurant is nothing special. The food is rather bland and you can find it anywhere. The staff are pleasant, but the dishes are uninspired.
