15/05/2026: Les Halles is a hectic venue, but this has been a reliable place for us to get a lunch, enjoy the food and drink, and most of all survey the activity. If you are new to Les Halles, avoid the weekends and ease into the experience. With practice you will be able to enjoy the weekends as well as the locals. :-) Service here is brisk but friendly. When it is time to pay, bring the waiter’s note to the middle of the place, cash only. Someone will have occupied your seats before you get halfway there.

A huge thank you to Loïc, the owner, who is always welcoming, smiling, and attentive to his customers. The service is impeccable: quick, professional, and always with a smile. As for the food, it's excellent, with high-quality dishes prepared with care. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant place to spend quality time with friends or family. A must-visit in Brindas!

01/11/2026: A very warm atmosphere, with a wood-burning stove, excellent fondue, and superb service! In short, we had a wonderful time.

31/10/2026: **A very disappointing experience, mainly due to the service.** We felt rushed from beginning to end, even though we had clearly told the staff that we were in no hurry at all. Our main courses were brought before we had even finished our aperitifs. At 9 pm, the waitress told us she had to close the till… A rather inelegant way of letting customers know it was time to leave. To top it all off, the heating was turned off while we were still at our table. As for the food, the pressed pork was of rather average quality, accompanied by spätzle that clearly seemed mass-produced. The fondue was decent, but nothing special. And to finish, a glass of wine cost €16… A particularly high price considering the overall experience. In short, a rather hefty bill for an experience that doesn't exactly make us want to return. A restaurant isn't just about what's on the plate; it's also about the welcome and the pleasure of having a good time. And on that point, the experience was frankly disappointing.

25/10/2026: Today, my autistic partner and my sister from Lyon went to a charming restaurant in the Dombes region. It's a picturesque little spot, and the food was quite good, but the service, which comes with a €52 set menu each, leaves much to be desired. The napkins are paper, a first for a semi-gastronomic restaurant, and when my partner and I asked for a second napkin because he had spilled something on himself, we were brushed off, told that the owner was counting his napkins. Furthermore, the waitress suggested we eat the bones from the frog legs when I jokingly pointed out that they were small because they roamed freely like chickens, claiming that frog legs contain calcium. Isn't that treating disabled people like idiots? To make matters worse, there's a meter behind the coffee machine ☕️. Ultimately, while the food was quite good and the meal enjoyable, the service was lacking, and I unfortunately can't recommend it as it seems to depend on who you are. Perhaps we'll try out some gourmet frog restaurants around Lyon in 2027. It's a shame chocolate mousse 🍫 wasn't on the dessert menu.

01/10/2026: On holiday in Mandelieu, we came several times; excellent restaurant. Good bistro cuisine. Well-prepared dishes: seared tuna, sea bass, etc. Very good desserts and a good wine list. Dine on the terrace with a view of the port. Friendly and smiling service. Highly recommended! 😀

11/10/2026: Disappointing value for money. The food is clearly lacking in flavor and doesn't justify the prices. The Caesar salad's only "homemade" aspect is its dressing, which, while good, was served in excessive quantities. The crispy chicken was cold, tasteless, and had a texture reminiscent of frozen food. Under these circumstances, it's difficult to find any trace of the establishment's promise of local produce. The second course was equally disappointing: a flavorless sea bream accompanied only by brown rice, without a single vegetable. A dish sorely lacking in both taste and accompaniment. Given these two dishes, the claims about the freshness and local origin of the ingredients are perplexing. When such promises are made, one expects to see them actually reflected on the plate. The prices are high considering the quality offered. Even compared to a Parisian brasserie, the value for money is clearly lacking. The only positive point is the service, which is decent and fairly quick.

14/07/2026: A great little spot in a beautiful setting. Simple restaurant, lovely welcome from the owner, quick service, and excellent value for money. The children were delighted to be able to watch the ducks and dragonflies while eating their meal. A great place to stop for a family lunch.

03/06/2026: I'm not a foodie or a fan of 3-star restaurants... but wow! 😳 The fries were awful, and the highlight was the dessert: candied apricots, whipped cream, and a scoop of ice cream... Was it made by a child in the kitchen? It makes you wonder... Awful and expensive!!! In short, you're better off getting a sandwich from Intermarché or going to Blachère.

25/05/2026: We ate at the brasserie today, May 25, 2026, and as usual, everything was perfect. The waitresses were very friendly, the beef tartare was excellent with a generous side dish, and we loved the decor. The place was clean. Thank you to the whole team, and a pat for Réglisse.
