12/04/2026: Lovely lunch, family had a roast traditional Sunday lunch, I had a veggie burger. Really nice, just a quick bike ride from home, lovely Sunday experience. Family run campsite where they really work hard to make it a lovely experience for you. Definitely recommended.

15/07/2026: ⭐☆☆☆☆ A huge disappointment! There were seven of us, and we waited an hour and a half to be served. The most shocking thing wasn't even the wait, but the complete lack of apology or any gesture of goodwill from the owner. And when the "burgers" finally arrived… what a surprise! White bread instead of a burger bun, sold for €8. For me, that's simply not a burger. The photos speak for themselves. We left with the feeling that only taking the money mattered, not customer satisfaction. A simple "sorry for the wait" or a small gesture would have made a huge difference. I do not recommend this establishment. I hope this review will prevent other customers from having the same experience.

03/05/2026: We took a short break during our bike ride on the Avignon-Pont du Gard greenway, and an oyster farmer was selling his oysters and prepared a fantastic platter for us. They were excellent, and we sat down at the café to enjoy them. Great atmosphere! 👍

15/10/2026: The French café in Luxeuil-les-Bains has changed hands. The new owners are very kind people. We, the former customers, need to give them time to get to know us and our habits, and be understanding, because they are doing their best, and I commend them. Therefore, I recommend this establishment to all visitors, spa-goers, and locals. The prices are reasonable, and all the food and drinks are of excellent quality. The breakfast croissants, waffles, and crepes are excellent, the ice cream is superb, and the coffee is equally good. Come and meet the new owners and their staff; they will welcome you with a smile. There's a terrace with beautiful flowers. So, I recommend this establishment to all my followers (more than 200,000 people, and that number is increasing by 10,000 people a week sometimes). Thank you all. Our town can still improve, as some told me when Laurent Seguin was appointed president of the General Council. There is still much to be done by the Mayor and his municipal council, but little by little, the bird builds its nest. It's up to our elected officials to do what is necessary for Haute-Saône, regardless of their political affiliation. Thank you. Bruno, today, Sunday, July 12th, I went to three places and couldn't get a coffee. Reason: 6:50 PM, the machine is cleaned. 7:00 PM, Le Chiquito. The machine is cleaned. At L'Orient, it was possible. Some shopkeepers in Luxeuil think they're in Paris, even though it's possible to get a coffee after 10:00 PM, but with a surcharge. The only shopkeeper who served me a coffee was at L'Orient. I want to point out that it wasn't the owners who were in their establishment. Having worked for over 20 years in restaurants and bars, I know all the staff should be re-educated.

24/09/2026: I have very fond memories of my stay in Luxeuil-les-Bains thanks to our daily stops at the French café. They offer a variety of drinks and platters, a great atmosphere, and the owner is lovely and full of helpful advice! Don't hesitate to step inside this gem of a place in Luxeuil-les-Bains!

10/10/2026: A wonderful surprise! The service was quick and the staff very attentive. The Scandinavian salads, generously topped with salmon, were impeccably dressed. As for the desserts, they made this moment for two even more magical.

06/04/2026: I tried several dishes here. Visited twice for lasagna ! It was very delicious. Tiramisu is very light and big portion. The pasta was having some seeds (that I didn’t pay attention on the description), so it was not really for me. They have very light genepi, good after a meal for shot.

19/04/2026: A must for a fantastic time. A dining room or terrace with a breathtaking view, yes indeed, and a truly authentic face in front of the oven: Maryse, who's been there since…ooh! The pizzas are sensational with a perfectly crispy crust, but don't forget (like we did today) the amazing lasagna. And then there's the famous blueberry tart…when they have them, because Maryse refuses to buy them. They make the pastry soggy. Or, failing that, her lemon tart. Should you ask if everything is homemade? If I were you, I'd avoid asking 😡 In short, a great time in an exceptional setting that's well worth the effort.

30/07/2026: A very disappointing experience. We are occasional customers, and for several weeks now, on numerous occasions, we have witnessed decisions that are difficult to understand and detrimental to customers: refusal to seat people inside even when there was space, refusal to take new customers despite available tables, very long waits before our orders were taken, and instructions imposed on staff that put them in a difficult position with customers. The waitress had to explain that she wasn't allowed to take orders even though she had served us (professionally and kindly on several other occasions). A haughty waiter finally came to assist us after a wait of more than 15 minutes, while the waitress was available. The same thing happened regarding the possibility of moving the parasols. After asking her manager, the young woman came to see us to inform us that he had refused without any justification. During the heatwave, we were refused a table well before the advertised closing time of the kitchen. It's all the more regrettable as these problems seem to stem from management choices rather than a lack of goodwill on the part of the staff. With an organization more focused on customer service and comfort, this establishment could offer a much better experience. As for the food, the wait was often long and the quality is steadily declining. What a shame! We won't be returning after these last three extremely disappointing experiences.
