06/08/2026: A lovely place to have a drink, in our case. Impeccable service. We enjoyed it.

05/08/2026: Catastrophic service. Few people in the morning, and yet the waiters were on their phones and we had to call 5 times to get them to come and serve us.

14/07/2026: No greeting upon my arrival, refusal to use the restroom for a disabled person (not to mention the cost of my drink). Yet they have the nerve to tell other customers I'm not being polite because I didn't say goodbye while waiting for a response to my greeting. Perhaps they should take some etiquette lessons.

14/07/2026: I wouldn't call this place a restaurant, but rather a cross between a local bistro and a night out with friends watching a football match. We ordered three pizzas and a portion of fries to take away (€45). The pizzas were generally quite good, although the tomato sauce tasted more like cheap tomato paste than a real homemade sauce. The fries, on the other hand, were disastrous: they were like the ones from Lidl. Pieces of all sizes, soggy, tasteless… you almost wonder if they hadn't been scraped from the bottom of several baskets. The most disconcerting thing is the atmosphere. If you like places where everyone is shouting from one end of the room to the other, you'll get your fill. It feels more like attending a post-match celebration than a proper restaurant service. I was also surprised to see several people going back and forth between the bar and the kitchen, even though they didn't seem to have any role in the kitchen. And to top it all off: the cook walked into the kitchen letting out a huge belch. It might seem like a small detail, but it's definitely not the kind of scene that inspires confidence while you're waiting for your meal. The staff is welcoming, but between the atmosphere, the seemingly haphazard organization, and what we witnessed, you end up wondering if you might leave with something other than what you ordered.

03/02/2026: We arrived at 1 p.m. The restaurant was empty on a Monday lunchtime, but someone on their phone was sharing videos as background noise, adding to the unusual atmosphere. The staff were pleasant and friendly, but we had severe stomach aches after eating frozen dishes, and I highly recommend the ravioli with beef stew, which were swimming in water. The dishes are served in less than two minutes, so they're frozen, leaving us with stomach aches and nasty diarrhea. Eat at your own risk…

10/01/2026: I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this restaurant. Pure bliss! I had a veal escalope filled with tomato and vegetable sauce, topped with a layer of cheese. It was truly delicious! My friends had the same experience, ordering daube and salmon pasta! Regarding the dessert, it's true it's not homemade, but many reviews complain about this, saying, "Oh, it says 'homemade' in the original text." NO, it doesn't say so, so we expect it's not homemade (so some of you, stop with your false remarks). Especially since the waitress was very honest and told us straight away, which I really appreciated. As for the staff, the waitress, waiter, and cook were all lovely! I'm really looking forward to going back someday! PS: The price is very reasonable! (I paid 26 euros for the main course, drink, and dessert).

09/06/2026: No one… No one answered our greeting… No one came near… We left… without seeing a soul!!! Too bad, I had my eye on the ribeye steak.

31/03/2026: A small rib of beef cooked over a wood fire! What could be better! The decor is simple and the owner handles the service himself! The grumpy people who leave bad reviews just don't get it! This place is authentic! No frills! I'll be back.

17/06/2026: Very available and, most importantly, open on Sundays. Simple pastries, bread for every day and all tastes.

16/06/2026: I've walked past the bakery several times around 7:10 am and it's closed. They should post the change in hours online if it no longer opens at 7:00 am.

07/08/2026: The food was decent, but nothing special. The wait was quite long, probably due to an oversight.

07/08/2026: We arrived a little late around lunchtime, but they went out of their way to make us a delicious meal. Thank you for the warm welcome and friendly service.

27/07/2026: While on vacation, we always return to eat at Le Relais des Moines. The homemade terrine is excellent, and the meat is very tender. The staff is pleasant, and the lady recognizes us and has a great sense of humor. Thank you!

23/07/2026: The welcome wasn't very friendly in such a touristy place... The ribeye steak, priced at €36, was more than half left on the plate because it was a very tough cut with a lot of sinew and fat. The Munster cheese gratin had many potatoes and only one very thin slice of bacon. A shame.

12/07/2026: It took 45 minutes to get a hamburger served. Don't go to this restaurant; they don't speak French. I don't recommend it.

07/07/2026: "Run, you fools!" (as Gandalf would say.) The owner's welcome leaves much to be desired. You quickly get the impression you're bothering him; he's unfriendly and almost seems to ignore you. The food is okay, but nothing special. I ordered an Auvergne salad that was literally swimming in vinaigrette: a veritable pool. The ingredients were also very roughly chopped, which wasn't very appetizing. The only real positive is the service: the staff is kind, smiling, and does their best despite everything else. A disappointing experience that doesn't make me want to return.

01/07/2026: This is my second spa treatment season in Royat. We are two couples. We know the CINTRA spa. The welcome is always very friendly. Humor and smiles are always present. The food is good and meets our expectations. I highly recommend this place.

27/04/2026: My daughter-in-law gave a gift certificate for a one-night stay and breakfast to a couple of friends last weekend. Unfortunately, her friend's husband had a health issue and couldn't make it. She requested (with proof of sick leave) a postponement or a discount on another service, but they refused, and she lost over €400. It's shameful for an establishment that claims to be welcoming... absolutely no empathy; all they care about is money. I do not recommend this establishment.

26/04/2026: We had a wonderful stay; everyone was very friendly, whether for treatments or in the restaurant.

19/05/2026: We ate well, the food was good quality, but we found the value for money to be average. The prices are high for what you get. Good, but not exceptional. The tiramisu was alright, but just average and small (€10!), please, without mint leaves; that flavor has no place there. Finally, the coffee at €4… apart from the two tuiles and the meringue that came with it, I found the price a bit steep! It's a shame; if it had been cheaper, I would have ordered two, for example. Otherwise, we had a pleasant time. Best of luck.

14/07/2026: We stayed at this "campsite" while passing through, so for just one night. There was a very small field where 2 or 3 caravans can fit, and otherwise about 10 mobile homes, which I believe belong to private individuals. It has a restaurant, which is very popular, but because we were there on a Monday, it was closed. Furthermore, it has a "beach bar" by the river, which is truly fantastic. It has a lounge vibe and plenty of seating. You can enjoy a lovely swim by the river with a beautiful view. We had a standard electricity connection, and there are 3 showers and 3 toilets for the campsite guests. A true gem in nature where you only use the campsite's electricity and water supply and spend the rest of your day by the river. The surroundings are probably beautiful too, I just don't know if there are any nice pictures.

27/06/2026: We're at the campsite, our pitch is in full sun, which is a shame in this heatwave! We ate at the inn; the gourmet salad was excellent. The site is really lovely, with a small beach where you can swim in the Creuse River. The welcome was very friendly; I highly recommend it.

22/03/2026: The food is sophisticated and delicious. However, the dishes are very expensive for the portion size… and the side dishes aren't even included.

12/03/2026: Rated high for the main courses offered without dessert. Average service. I do not recommend it.
