07/06/2026: The hotel's location is perfect, right by the river. The rooms are outdated but adequate for one night. The bar staff were inattentive.

Ten people on the terrace, with their drinks… We arrive, just the two of us… After eight minutes, and three visits from a waiter who didn't say a word to us and seemed more interested in showing off with his colleagues… 🙂 Bravo… 🎉 the team isn't ready to work at the Ritz! Avoid at all costs, or if you're a warrior, go ahead and you won't regret it 😉

08/07/2026: Sunday at lunchtime, we decided to eat at the buffet, as we do on other Sundays. This one was particularly crowded with a large group of traveling salespeople. "Holiday cacophony" is the most fitting word. Half an hour after ordering, still nothing. We complained, saying we were about to leave. Five minutes later, our food arrived, but the waiter made a mistake and reversed our order. There were two of us, but we were given three drinks. For dessert, there were no more teaspoons, and the noise was still exhausting. We usually enjoy eating on the terrace, but it was closed. When we mentioned that our review wouldn't be positive, they offered us coffee and tea. MEAL RUINED

05/08/2026: We were stuck at Vernon-Giverny station for an hour and twenty minutes in the sweltering heat after missing our train due to incorrect information from a station employee. We politely asked the café if they could simply fill our water bottles with tap water, and they refused. I understand we might not have been customers, but refusing a little tap water to two people stranded outside in the heat is frankly an impressive level of hospitality. It's a good thing tap water is apparently a luxury in Vernon.

18/07/2026: Rented a bike (including helemt and lock) for 15 euro. Had to give them my ID to hold onto FYI. super convienent location and can use the bathroom, buy an ice cream etc. 1 of the breaks on the bike didnt work well so test out your happy with your bike before leaving .

02/01/2026: Weekend Stay... For the deluxe room... Tiny room... Very little hot water... Very small shower... No bathrobe... No slippers... For the spa... Reservations by one-hour slot... In the end, the spa was packed, we couldn't do anything... Jacuzzi was lukewarm... No changing room... Meals... Apart from a room presumably reserved for Weekend Stay guests, the menu choice... On a simple sheet of paper placed on a board... with only two choices for the meal... No choice for the starter or dessert... The meal was deplorable and tasteless... Profiteroles for dessert... It's a disgrace to call them profiteroles... Two botched, flat cream puffs placed on a plate with a scoop of ice cream... The waiter was completely incompetent... And a meal costing 50 euros... You can eat better for less at McDonald's... Result: first and last time we'll come...

02/06/2026: Purchase of a commercial door and installer was top-notch, but there was a dispute regarding the glass: Customer service: no follow-up, they never call back, you have to contact them yourself, but the versions are never the same, total disappointment, I should have read the reviews before signing with them because clearly I'm not the only one.

26/07/2026: The lighting was dim, no problem. The bespectacled waiter was about as welcoming as a prison door. Do you charge extra for smiles? Thanks for the welcome; we almost felt like we were intruding.

19/07/2026: A delightful discovery: one of the few restaurants open on Sundays. The welcome and friendly atmosphere in an authentic setting. The cuisine is simple yet expertly prepared, using fresh, seasonal ingredients that have a distinctly homemade feel and respect for natural flavors, without the excessive sauces and spices that are still too common. This impression applies to both the main courses and desserts. A special mention goes to the homemade tarte tatin! We didn't order a starter, but we can imagine the same high quality. My mother and I will definitely be back and will keep this address in mind.

09/09/2025: We happened to be passing by and were quite disappointed with the meal. The salmon was far too overcooked and lacked any real preparation. We were hoping for an improvement with dessert, but no such luck. I'm not much of a cook, but I'm sure I could do much better.

09/09/2025: Cheap, OK, but... for the same price, anyone could do better. No choice of dishes! OK, but what was offered was inedible, or nearly so (we were starving). Two large ladles of rice to fill us up, accompanied by three slices of zucchini and a piece of overcooked salmon. Dessert? Instead of crème brûlée, I got warm custard with sugar. The only positive was the excellent local cheese. What a shame, we would have enjoyed it so much more with real bread! Sorry, but out of a week of eating out for lunch and dinner in half of France, you will remain our worst memory.

24/07/2026: Honestly, 20 minutes for two coffees, and on top of that, we got yelled at by the overly familiar, even swearing, waiter during the service. Unbelievable! And then you take four months to explain yourselves! No, it's truly unacceptable. I knew your predecessors well, and they never behaved like this, even during peak hours as you claim.

21/07/2026: Pleasant lunch, terrible salmon. The waitress spoke to her manager, but no action was taken. Unpleasant attitude. Avoid at all costs.
