25/11/2025: The cuisine was refined, flavorful, and delicately presented (except for the poultry dish, which I found rather disappointing). The service was pleasant and attentive. The setting was cozy, although I felt the lighting could be improved. A lovely place for local gourmet cuisine. The price reflects this: €130 for three people, drinks included.

22/02/2026: Absolutely perfect! Lunchtime experience: unbeatable value for money! Creative cuisine, beautifully presented in a very pleasant atmosphere. The vegetarian dishes on offer are also excellent. We will definitely be back.

17/02/2026: We made a reservation for Valentine's Day, having never been to this place before, and we absolutely don't regret our choice! The service is cheerful and friendly, the food is absolutely divine (the best meat I've ever eaten), all in a convivial atmosphere. Plus, the restaurant is ideally located in the heart of La Rochelle. A must-try!

03/03/2026: In a beautiful location, the place has a warm and inviting atmosphere. What a selection of beers! And some of the best! If you're having trouble deciding, ask Robin; he'll guide you with his passion for brewing techniques and the subtleties of the brews he can serve you.

16/11/2025: We usually have our company dinner at Ida's about twice a year, and we always have a fantastic evening. The food and service are excellent. The dance and karaoke night is expertly hosted by Pierre, who immediately puts everyone at ease. We leave around 2 a.m. each time with a little pang of sadness and the desire to return very soon to see the incredibly welcoming owners again. Thank you, Pierre, Ida, and your team.

10/02/2026: We held our wedding at the Hostellerie restaurant. Jean-Marc was a great help in planning everything, offering wonderful ideas and invaluable advice. On the big day, everything was perfect. Our guests and we ourselves thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, from the drinks reception to dessert. He was also incredibly accommodating to the dietary needs of some of our guests (vegetarians, those with food intolerances, and children). Ariana was also fantastic and ensured the wedding ran smoothly. The restaurant's decor is perfectly suited to a beautiful wedding. If you're looking for an exceptional venue, don't hesitate to choose this one! Go even just for a special moment shared around a beautifully set table and delicious food 👌✨

19/12/2025: Lunch with 6 friends. Excellent quality dishes, from the amuse-bouche to the dessert. For several years now, impeccable service and a varied menu of truly delicious and beautifully presented dishes. Congratulations on your professionalism! I hope to see you again soon.

10/11/2025: Never disappointed by the frogs' legs. Perfect mastery of cooking and seasoning, with the essential quality of the ingredients. The legs are plump without being enormous. For me, they are among the best in the region. Overall, it's simple, traditional cuisine, with a Lyonnaise influence, but with a focus on quality products. For example, in the Lyonnaise salad, the lardons are flavorful and firm, "charcutière-style," not the watery, mass-produced lardons with a standardized taste that you generally find in most restaurants. The dessert menu is concise and lacks originality, even a bit old-fashioned in the case of the frozen fruits, but it's in keeping with the style of cuisine and doesn't detract from their quality. The welcome is friendly, and in the summer, the shaded terrace is very pleasant. Parking is easy.

20/09/2025: A unique location in a splendid hilltop village, bathed in sunshine all year round. Single menu at €27. Very welcoming, reservations required.

12/12/2025: A €16 set menu (starter, main course, dessert) that's good, with friendly service. That's not common.

16/03/2026: Extremely disappointed. My friends and I won't be back. The food was tasteless, the portions small, and the "homemade" desserts were questionable because they were really not good. There was no drinks menu, so we couldn't see the selection or prices. No choice of white wine. It used to be better! Not to mention we had to eat with our coats on because it was freezing cold!

24/06/2025: Just 10 minutes from the highway, this restaurant is highly recommended: Impeccable welcome and service, with a pleasant family atmosphere. Refined cuisine with excellent ingredients and excellent value for money. A must-see, with a very welcoming interior and an exceptional garden.

01/03/2026: Huge disappointment. We had a reservation for 9:15 PM, but when we arrived, we were told that the people at our table were still eating their main courses, so we would have to wait until they finished their meals and ordered and ate their desserts. We waited until 10 PM, three-quarters of an hour outside in the middle of February. We went to ask what was happening, and they finally seated us at a table with other people. We saw another empty table, so we asked if we could be seated there. The waitress said, "Yes, if you want to wait some more," and then, "They're annoying." When our main courses were served, two of us had ordered mashed potatoes, and we were given only one bowl without being told it was meant to be shared. A bowl of mashed potatoes to share, really? The prices were exorbitant, €12 for four croquettes? The food was good, but we ate bread afterward because the portions were clearly designed for children.

25/02/2026: My sweetheart and I came and we had a wonderful time. The staff were lovely, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the setting is really charming! We'll be back.
