24/02/2026: What an amazing bar! This was my first dinner in Bayonne and I was never disappointed. The tapas of Jambon Bayonne and cheese were awesome. The staffs were incredible warm and welcoming too. I saw many locals visiting the bar, which was no doubt. 100% recommended to anyone. It’d be difficult to find a table in the dinner time so reservations might be better, in particular if you are a large group.

02/04/2026: I didn't understand the French Menu (normally I do) - I said I didn;t but there wasn't one person in the restaurant who offerered a word of English, despite my poor French attempts at asking of details of the food. Ended up with some non-descript white fish covered in foam, which seems to be the presentation du jour but offers no additional/complimentary flavour and just hides what lies beneath. Which in this case was what tasted like uncooked black rice and the outer shells of brussel sprouts which if that whisp of vegetation is all they can offer with a dish, means that I'm out of step with noveau French cuising from a 3* Michelin Chef. I'm sorry, the HULK of bread offered to compensate for lack of vegetables, did not impress and the juxtoposition of a hipster (glassware made of recycled wine bottles) joint, within a generic Best Western Hotel... No. Sorry, this was not a hit. Very disappointing.

15/02/2026: Fantastic crêperie! We eat there regularly and are always warmly welcomed. The galettes are delicious and generously filled, and I highly recommend the Breizh Burger! As for the Valentine's Day menu, it was a truly refined and delicious treat.

Having known this restaurant for years, I can say that the two negative reviews are simply the work of, unfortunately for them, rather dishonest people… Just so you know 😉

05/05/2026: The hotel is very well located and pleasant, however, be aware of several things: the wifi does not work very well, there is no fridge in the room and our bathroom/toilet had a door that only partially closed, so much for privacy 😬 the staff is available though.

24/05/2026: We're staying in Grenoble for a few weeks, which is giving us the chance to discover some great places we'll revisit during our stay, and there are others too… like the Sporting, which we unfortunately won't be giving a positive review to. The welcome is disastrous, handled by a rather elderly woman who is also incredibly rude to the customers and her waiter. The service is unbelievably slow! Unheard of, especially in 30°C heat! There are much better places nearby; take two minutes to look further! Run away! 😱

19/04/2026: A beautiful setting that we discovered during a karaoke and blind test evening. A lovely outdoor terrace by the water with a relaxed, informal atmosphere upstairs, and a restaurant on the ground floor. The owners are welcoming, pleasant, and attentive to their customers, offering constructive suggestions that will ensure even better evenings. On the menu: a delicious and tender flank steak, and the burgers and fries were good. Overall, the feedback from the TMS and Meet 5 groups was quite positive after this evening. So, in summary, a charming setting by the water, friendly owners, and regular themed days and evenings: karaoke, dance parties, musical happy hours, and USA-themed days. Everything you need to fully enjoy the beautiful weather... in the coming months, whether you choose from the menu or the express option. Definitely worth revisiting. Isabelle

18/05/2026: I discovered this restaurant yesterday. The food was excellent, both in quality and quantity. I highly recommend the burgers; they're perfect. I would mention one small drawback: the background music. It was quite bothersome for me, as I personally had some difficulty understanding what people were saying. A little less volume, or perhaps better-chosen music, would have made a difference. We had to ask for a carafe of water. Probably an oversight. The service was quick after we ordered.

14/04/2026: The service can be improved by being more efficient, dishes cannot be served without synchronization, diners must receive their dishes at the same time. Regarding the fish (monkfish) it looks boiled. The oysters in a town where there are producers, they would have to choose the quality better. (experts) For the rest everything is correct.

07/05/2026: I came to Briançon with my aunt from Florence. We chose to have lunch here because we were craving a good raclette, and I have to say, everything was fantastic. Federico, the owner, speaks Italian, and he and his son were super kind to us. Everything was great, truly excellent. We'll be back.

18/04/2026: Great views of the Alpes (just beware it’s very very hot when the sun is out!!) Ordered some oysters and a cheesecake. Oysters were fresh, cheesecake was okay.

18/04/2026: A great restaurant with a beautiful view. Perfect for lunch on the sunny terrace. The service was very friendly and professional, and everything was delicious.

18/05/2026: As always, a friendly team in the dining room, and thankfully so, because they have to make up for the problems in the kitchen. Although there wasn't much to worry about that evening, they had to reheat the famous stuffed tomato swimming in a store-bought sauce. But more troubling was the black pudding, which was quickly boiled, barely cooked, and of course, cold, served with a piece of apple that was overcooked and another that was practically raw. What a shame! It's not much, but it spoils the atmosphere. Kudos, however, for the chocolate mousse. Oh, and perhaps keep the vegetables on offer; the fries weren't great... It's not easy to run a successful restaurant, and I'm sure the staff are doing their best. Perhaps they need a leader. Have a good season.

28/04/2026: Rather disappointed for a 4-star hotel ✨. My mother, who used to come here regularly, noticed a real change. Upon arrival, there was no restaurant, even though after a long journey we just wanted to shower, relax, and have a quiet meal at the hotel. We had to go out again to get food. No Wi-Fi, no pool table... When we arrived in the room, there was only a sliver of toilet paper and three tissues. As for the service, there was very little empathy from the reception staff. At breakfast, there weren't enough plates; all the guests complained, and we had to use bowls because no one came to help. It's a shame they reheated the crepes, which were more like potato chips, and the pancakes, which were hard around the edges. This needs improvement for a 4-star hotel.
