The food is incredibly good; the chef has a real knack for flavors. From coq au vin and roast beef to apple fritters, everything is homemade. He works alongside his sister in the dining room, interacting with customers with her kindness and warmth, creating a truly family atmosphere. A must-visit if you're in the area; it's best to book in advance as it's often full.

17/10/2024: Tout simplement énorme ! Après une longue journée passée au Salon du Brasseur, il nous fallait un repas copieux pour... éponger la bière écoulée... Nous avons étés conquis à tout point de vue : quantité, qualité, sympathie de l'équipe, cadre atypique à deux pas de la place Stanislas. Mention spéciale à la Potence Savoyarde qui fût un pur délice, et à Clara pour la cerise sur le gâteau :) Amateurs de viandes et de fromages, foncez-y les yeux fermés !

14/01/2026: It's very unpleasant to have breakfast while someone sweeps the room in front of you without any concern for disturbing you. The dust, the noise of the tables... The floor needs mopping. I think the establishment should be ready to welcome guests by 8:00 AM. Otherwise, consider opening later if the cleaning isn't done. I believe customers deserve to enjoy their breakfast in peace.

25/01/2026: The small fry is no longer just a small fry. The burger is getting smaller too. Prices are going up and the loyalty program is gone. I won't be going back.

09/12/2025: Don’t come if you want to be discriminated and be treated very rudely by your waiter. We’re Asian and were served upstairs by an Asian looking waiter - other staff treated us nicely. The waiter who served us was so obviously discriminatory towards us, he didn’t smile once, he was so impatient and had such a rude/harsh tone, took away dishes without saying or asking anything (we were still dipping bread into the plate of escargots when he took it away), put our food down and walked away (didn’t say what it was or anything at all). When someone asked if the steak could be cooked medium rare, he immediately said “we are in france, it’s medium or rare, no medium rare” and continued on explaining in such a rude tone. A simple “no sorry” could’ve sufficed. We could see and hear he was laughing and smiling with other tables, described the dishes & said have a nice meal to other parties, etc. The food was decent, but we are travelling around france for the past 2 weeks & not once have we received such rude and racist behaviour. Terrible terrible waiter, he is pictured in the background

07/12/2025: Terrible, I'm extremely disappointed. They put their hands on the cheese, €5 for a soda, and the service... let's not even go there.

12/11/2025: Be careful when paying by card at the bar... The bill was €3 extra, and I only noticed the charge afterwards on my bank statement...😅
