13/10/2026: (Group of 8) We had a very pleasant time at Au Roi du Potje Vleesch. The atmosphere and setting are warm and traditional, and the service was efficient, friendly, and very professional. As for the food, the meal was good and well-prepared. However, given the establishment's reputation, we expected a more distinctive culinary style. The Potje Vleesch and the other dishes served lacked the expertise and finesse one would expect from a true "king" of Flemish cuisine. In short: a perfect establishment for its atmosphere and conviviality, but a culinary experience that fell a bit short of our expectations.

13/09/2026: The pea starter was very good, and the dessert (chocolate fondant) was delicious. The service was great, thank you to the waitresses. ☺️ The downside: the food. There was no vegetarian option for the main course, despite a request made in advance by phone when booking: the restaurant only offered to remove the meat/fish from its dishes… So I ordered a plate of fries since nothing on the menu appealed to me – fries cooked in meat fat… great for a vegetarian! 😂 The restaurant offered no compensation for me ordering fries instead of a main course: €41 for soup, fries, and a fondant is very expensive. I do not recommend this restaurant for vegetarians.

31/07/2026: We only come to pick up a package; the image is tarnished by the presence of the same pepper-bearing men at all hours and the smell that goes with it. It's a shame, the owners are very nice.

14/06/2026: We were out bikepacking and stopped at this brasserie. A very pleasant and friendly person let us take a break and we put our bikes inside to rest on a rainy and windy day...a big thank you!

21/09/2026: Excellent home-style cooking, very good value for money, homemade with fresh ingredients. It's a shame the service was a little slow, even though the waitress did her best. We will gladly return and recommend this place.

30/06/2026: We stopped by chance at this restaurant on a Sunday at lunchtime and had a very good meal. The set menu was generous and included soup (which we skipped as it was very hot outside), a starter, a main course, and dessert. The food was homemade with delicious ingredients. The waitress was cheerful and efficient.

16/06/2026: Passing through the area, we spent one night in this very well-located hotel. The staff was welcoming, the rooms clean, quiet, and comfortable, the breakfast varied, and the common areas were funly decorated. However, we didn't meet Cachou, the owner, who was probably out and about. Perhaps another time...

22/08/2026: A truly delightful brunch for the weekend. Charlotte is a whiz in the kitchen and in the dining room; everything was generous and delicious ☺️ We opted for the full menu at €25 and left with very full stomachs! Thank you for this wonderful discovery!

19/10/2026: Very disappointed. Behind the entrance door, a majestic fireplace with stone walls, but we were seated in a back room with no view. This room was very noisy! On the menu: a country-style terrine that was 2 millimeters thick!!! Then a chicken leg with Normandy sauce (that was okay), but it came with a leek mush with a very unpleasant taste and a spoiled smell... And to finish, a simple Breton shortbread cookie from a box, covered with a mush of cooked apple peelings, topped with a dollop of chocolate and caramel, and crumbled crêpes dentelles. We ordered coffee, which was served with a disposable wooden spoon... Don't bother waiting for the little square of chocolate; there wasn't one!

04/09/2026: Lunch with colleagues one day. A very warm welcome, the staff are lovely. A menu that changes daily, with 3 choices of starters, main courses, and desserts. From the menu, I chose the broad bean salad and the skate wing with spinach. It was simply DELICIOUS! Kudos to the chef. The spinach was perfectly cooked. The portion was more than enough for me. A great place in Beaumont 🙂 Reservations recommended!

16/10/2026: A Savoyard fondue 😍😍😍 absolutely delicious!!! We received a very warm welcome from Thibaut and his colleague (whose name I don't know). I had booked for my son's birthday, as he loves Savoyard fondue, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a beautiful presentation of the cheese cellar with its "100" cheeses, which you can enjoy as much as you like in the €36 set menu, but the fondue was more than enough for us. The very discreet little touch of a birthday candle at dessert was the perfect finishing touch to this excellent meal. A wonderful discovery.

06/10/2026: We’ve been to this restaurant and it was a great experience. They serve so many different types of cheeses and you can also visit a small cellar they have. The waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful to explain everything to all customers. I think this restaurant is an experience for everyone who likes cheese and wants to try several different types. Reserve a table 🫶
