15/05/2026: We went in and asked for a table for seven, and the waitress was unpleasant, just because we were foreigners. I asked her, "Is the kitchen open?" She said "no," without any explanation. It was strange because we saw other people eating at the same time. Then, since the kitchen was closed, we only ordered drinks. After we ordered, she said, "Four drinks for seven people, you shouldn't stay long." It was really unfriendly, and on top of that, it was the worst cappuccino I've ever had, and it cost me five euros. I strongly advise against going there because she was rude.

08/06/2026: A wonderful discovery at the restaurant of the Grand Hôtel de Solesmes. The setting is superb, calm and bright, with a lovely view overlooking the garden. The food is simply perfect! Seasonal produce, expertly cooked. The staff is incredibly attentive, professional yet warm. Excellent value for money for an exceptional experience. An address to treasure.

12/12/2025: Good food, great for a chill night with friends, but nothing out of this word. The place is small very smoky so prepare to leave your clothes outside when you get back home!

30/11/2025: This restaurant is a real rip-off! They force you to take a credit card imprint, and if you cancel an hour beforehand, they still charge you €70!!! It's absolutely shameful! Avoid it if you don't want to pay for a meal you didn't get! 😡

10/06/2026: We came with 57 people on June 9, 2026. We were very well received. The menu was impeccable. Crudités and charcuterie for starters. Chicken in mushroom sauce with Brussels sprouts and Duchess potatoes as a side dish, and to finish, a lovely slice of apple tart. The service was prompt and efficient. Very friendly staff. Top-notch! I highly recommend it.

07/06/2026: We went to this restaurant for a meal with colleagues. That day, their menu was very limited: only one starter (very small portions, and it looked pre-packaged even though it was salad and cold cuts), a choice between two main courses (beef bourguignon or pork), and desserts (chocolate mousse, fruit biscuit). Well, I say "their menu," but there wasn't one... and the waiter was absent-minded and didn't pay attention to what we were saying. In short, it didn't make me want to go back at all.

04/07/2026: Oh well! The excessive positive reviews are incomprehensible... Why go to a restaurant if you end up eating mediocre food? Stay home and cook your own food; you'll eat much better...

28/06/2026: Charming little place! A lovely little terrace. Inside, it's not particularly charming, but we had a delicious salad there that I highly recommend: "La Folle" (The Crazy One). Kudos to the young chef who works there. Pleasant welcome. One small drawback: you need to know about it to find it because there are no signs. A shame, because I think this place deserves to be better known and the chef's cuisine worth exploring.

05/07/2026: Not bad in itself, but a €5 surcharge for ordering a side of fried food and salad with the beef tartare? Where do you live? It doesn't get much more unprofessional than that. Of course, I wasn't asking for a double portion, just half and half salad. And to top it off, the waiters thought we were taking up too much space in the aisle… In that case, they shouldn't have put tables there at all… It's a shame, the rest of the restaurant was quite nice, even if the portion of tartare was really too small… but there are some things that just aren't done in the restaurant business, sorry!

03/06/2026: Excellent crêperie, very welcoming, generously filled galettes and crêpes. I highly recommend it.

25/05/2026: The crêperie is well-located, and the staff are pleasant but seem a bit overwhelmed. The savory buckwheat crêpes (galettes) are nothing special. They're good, but nothing more. The sweet crêpes are the same. The presentation needs improvement; it looks like it was just thrown on the plate. Poor value for money. Very expensive for such a small portion, and the flavors described on the menu don't match the description. The leek and ginger fondue had no ginger flavor, and the lemon sauce had no lemon flavor.

02/05/2026: A small, friendly hotel with beautiful exterior architecture. Extremely well located between the train station and a few minutes' walk from the city center. We always receive a very warm welcome from Maz, who does his utmost to ensure our satisfaction. A refresh of the rooms would be a real plus. 07/07/2026: A really nice spot right on the oceanfront. In the height of summer, it must be packed! You can eat at a counter overlooking the sea. It's simply fantastic! The welcome is very warm and the staff are super friendly. The food is simple and delicious; they even have hamburgers for those who love them! Tapas too... The Eguzki beer is amazing... No wonder, it's a Basque beer... It's accessible for people with reduced mobility. And on top of that, there's music and a great atmosphere! The prices are very reasonable. So, I definitely recommend "Le Bistro du Mata" if you're looking for a nice place to have lunch while taking the time to unwind in an idyllic setting.

06/07/2026: Fantastic location, free parking just steps away, incredible sea view. But what really impressed us was the service and the kindness of all the staff towards both humans and our four-legged companions. What a pleasure! Well done to the whole team, and don't change a thing. The food is just as good, by the way. Highly recommended!
