28/01/2026: A very pleasant welcome. The meal was excellent (despite the foie gras not being sufficiently deveined and a slice of bread left out a little too long). The service was attentive, and there was no interminable wait between courses; however, we would have appreciated a small discount on the bill after being blessed at the café and ultimately spending the day with two coffee stains on our trousers. It was still a good experience, and we will gladly return.

24/01/2026: "A friendly spot in the old town," a must-visit! The owners and staff are incredibly welcoming. You can eat there, have a coffee, and enjoy a very good beer. Even your dog will be happy; they give you a little bone-shaped biscuit every time I go, and believe me, that's worth its weight in gold. Ulysses says thank you! Well done, congratulations!

22/08/2025: A warm and friendly welcome, very reasonable prices, and cuisine based on fresh produce. Since the new ownership in May, even dogs are welcome with a small bowl of water.

26/11/2025: Always drawn to homemade products in Veules-les-Roses, I chose this place. A limited selection guarantees that the products are prepared fresh daily. Simple, high-quality cuisine. My only regret was the lack of parasols or awnings outside to protect customers from the sun.

04/11/2025: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I went to see them to have my shock absorber cartridge tightened. They did it, but the following week the same thing happened again: my cartridge came loose (a known problem with this shock). So I went back and asked them to tighten my shock with a strap wrench. The mechanic told me it absolutely had to be removed from the bike to tighten it, to which I replied that no, his colleague had done it the week before without removing it. He argued with me and decided to remove it anyway. One of the screws was supposedly seized, so he stripped the screw head and tried to reshape it with a Torx socket, but he never succeeded. Meanwhile, his colleague came over to my bike and fiddled with my derailleur adjustment. I explained clearly and politely that I wasn't there for that (I'd been waiting for almost an hour!). After a while, he realized it was possible to tighten it without removing it from the bike! He suggested using Loctite, to which I agreed. He then started unscrewing the cartridge on the bike. He had forgotten to deflate the tire; you can imagine the explosion that produced. He finally tightened it and gave me back my bike. When it came time to pay, he charged me for a derailleur adjustment I hadn't requested, and for the time he spent on it (I hadn't asked for a derailleur adjustment at all!). And on top of that, the derailleur was even worse adjusted than before! At the same time, I went back to see him to ask him to find me a screw, but he refused. I had to order one from the manufacturer, which cost me an extra €60! Dishonest mechanic and shoddy workmanship. I absolutely do not recommend this repairman! (And by the way, it took me 30 seconds to remove that screw cleanly, lying on the floor at night with a Torx wrench and a hammer!!!)

08/11/2025: We were looking forward to dining at Le Cocteau this Friday evening. Arriving at 8:45 pm, we were made to understand quite clearly that we were not welcome at such a late hour, and that they were doing us a favor by allowing us to dine as a couple while the restaurant was still serving tables. Management preferred not to serve us rather than reconsider their business practices. We will not be returning to this restaurant and we wish the staff good luck in maintaining their business without questioning their commitment to customer service and friendliness.

24/01/2026: Bouc Blanc... I've been going there regularly since 2007; it's a must-stop before heading back to the resort via the superb green run. For all this time, the mulled wine, the hot chocolate with whipped cream... it's pure bliss. A warm atmosphere, friendly hosts, excellent food, and very reasonable prices compared to what you can find nearby. I highly recommend it. This year I treated myself to a gourmet coffee... A very pleasant surprise, it's simple yet indulgent (see photo) and perfect for two people 😂. There's a very large terrace to the side and front, a superb view, right at the foot of the gondola, which even allows you to take the gondola back when the mulled wine is providing all the comfort... A little too warm sometimes for some. A lovely place to stop... And there's also a snack bar for skiers in a hurry. In short, you get the picture... It's pure bliss.
