26/06/2026: 5 stars for the highlights: - charming village (with good restaurants) - the dining rooms (decorated, but pleasant) - terrace with a lovely view But also a few weaknesses: - value for money (food and service) - table between the kitchen and the restrooms (even though others were available) - 40 long minutes between the first and last aperitif served. - water only arrived at the table after two emphatic requests. - the first wine chosen was no longer available; neither was the second. And I would like to mention a practice that shocks me: Tipping is a "tradition" that I appreciate because it allows you to show your appreciation for everyone who contributed to the quality of the evening. It is therefore with great pleasure that I leave a message of appreciation for an individual or a team... but not for a BANK TERMINAL that forces me to answer a question to complete the payment: "WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEAVE A TIP?" with two possible choices: - YES - NO (= "cheapskate") (and what's more, the NO button didn't even work... lol) A restaurant should remain a place of conviviality. And this was definitely not the case here.

14/02/2026: We just returned from our Valentine's Day dinner, and the occasion was a true reflection of our love. The food was exceptional, the presentation sublime with beautiful floral touches, and my new tables were also stunning. The waiter was incredibly kind. The complimentary cocktail and glass of wine were much appreciated. Our taste buds were delighted by flavors that were sometimes unexpected but always delicious. We will definitely be back and will recommend you. Thank you for this special moment in our family life. We don't get many, but this was truly exceptional.

22/04/2026: 3 euros for a large coffee We're in Angoulême, not Montmartre. I know it's inflation and the price of coffee has skyrocketed, but come on!

He was attentive, super friendly, and professional—a true server worthy of the name. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves; he deserves to be congratulated as he should be. Hoping to see him again as a head waiter or manager, he absolutely deserves it! 😌

14/06/2026: Came highly recommended by the hotel staff that it’s affordable and unpretentious, which is indeed so. EU27 for a 3 course dinner set, wide selection of wine. Had 2 meals here over the span of 2 days.

11/07/2026: I received excellent service today from a kind and pleasant waiter! It was a welcome change from Marseille. And the value for money was very good considering what I ordered! I highly recommend it.

03/05/2026: I stopped once at this small place with a few tables outside. I wouldn't call it a restaurant. It's at the back with outside tables. They quoted me one price and then charged me a higher one. I came back today, stopping by early to make a reservation, but they didn't write my name down, so they rudely told me there was no room. They're profit-driven; if you take everything, they run away; if you take less, they decide as they please. The bathroom is very uncomfortable outside with a long staircase to go up and down. Choose a better place, "La Pescheria," on the other side of the market, which is very popular and has better quality.

16/03/2026: What a wonderful discovery this roadside restaurant is in such an unexpected location! The menu is very short but perfectly executed. The dishes are creative but not overdone. A truly delightful surprise! A must-try!

31/03/2026: Hello everyone. This country restaurant is a very surprising find. Definitely worth a visit; the welcome was fantastic despite the crowds. Meals were served in under an hour, which is quite rare these days. And on top of that, the food was delicious. I gave it four stars because I suspect some of the food is frozen; I ordered salmon that looked and tasted like it had been frozen, and the fries were definitely frozen. But for 20 euros, it's excellent. I highly recommend it.

19/06/2026: We've eaten at this restaurant several times; the food is excellent and the service is top-notch, the waitresses are very friendly. We also catered a cocktail reception for 100 people and everything was perfect. The savory and sweet canapés were delicious and varied. My guests loved them. The owner is very helpful and offers great advice. I highly recommend this restaurant and catering service. Thank you again.

19/07/2026: Arrived at 2:30 PM, served at 3:00 PM... The dish with Vire andouille sausage and Normandy Camembert was excellent. The more traditional dishes were delicious. The service and welcome from the staff were impeccable! Thank you very much.

15/07/2026: This place was not at all what we expected. Even if we did not expect a high standard or high quality restaurant, knowing that we were in a touristic area, the food and ambience was sub-par. The lunch menu at 18.90€ seems like a good offer on the face of it but the starters buffet was made of essentially mayonnaise soaked salads and poor quality cold cuts (only pork). The main dish, La Tete de Veau and the Boeuf Bourguignon were okay. The portions were not that generous except for the mussels dish that was good and generous. The deserts were also not really good and definitely not worth the extra calories and sugar spike. The place is used as a hub for buses of tourists to come eat. I respect the grind but do not expect anything from this place. On a more positive note, the service was relatively good and fast although very expeditious.

13/02/2026: What a wonderful discovery last night in Obernai! An intimate and elegant restaurant with a warm and refined atmosphere. Our waiter was exceptionally classy: perfectly attentive without being intrusive—the service was impeccable. As for the food… a true explosion of flavors! Each dish was a surprise, a subtle balance of tastes and textures. Bravo and thank you to the Chef for this magnificent discovery. The wines, carefully paired with each course, were also a delightful surprise. The presentation and explanations for each glass added an extra touch to this already exceptional experience. Thank you again for this superb evening. We will gladly return.
