05/05/2026: A pleasant overnight stay at the Auberge de la Rose. The owners are a welcoming couple who offered helpful advice. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the generous breakfast buffet before heading out for a walk! I highly recommend it!

04/05/2026: Reservation for a group of 28 motorcyclists for a meal on the evening of May 2nd. The contact for the reservation was pleasant. The meal was very good, with unbeatable value for money. The service was friendly, even accommodating a last-minute change for a member's dish, even though the menu had been set a week prior.

05/07/2026: A small, secluded inn where the food is simple and delicious, the service is impeccable, and the price is more than reasonable for a starter, main course, cheese, dessert, and wine. I will definitely return.

12/05/2026: A lovely little inn with incredibly fresh food. Today: Starter: coleslaw with almonds, raisins, and honey Main course: stuffed tomatoes and stuffed potatoes Dessert: we ordered the cheese plate for my husband and a praline tart for the children. Everything was absolutely delicious! The welcome is warm and friendly at this small, family-run inn, where you're tempted to relax before hitting the road again. The small garden, outdoor tables, and toys for children make the place very pleasant and conducive to relaxation. Children can wander around freely while waiting for their meals. Entertainment is offered on some evenings. Highly recommended!

07/10/2026: We stopped for lunch on the road between Mantes (Buchelay) and Waterloo in Belgium. We had a very good meal. Family atmosphere. Friendly waitress. Reasonable prices, €28 for the full menu.

27/09/2026: A major disappointment on the plate While the service and wine were acceptable, the kidneys served that evening were simply inedible. Poorly trimmed, badly cooked, and served with tagliatelle swimming in a greasy, tasteless sauce. I do not recommend this establishment, which is overrated for its cuisine. P.S.: The restrooms are in dire need of cleaning!

22/09/2026: The menus were relatively affordable for Beaune. We had a Caesar salad and beef tataki as starters. The salad was quite good, but it lacked that little something extra that would make it feel like a restaurant-quality Caesar salad. As for the tataki, it had a very strong sesame flavor and was quite spicy with wasabi in some places. It really made your nose tingle with some bites 😅 For our main courses, we opted for the braised beef cheek à la bourguignonne and the seared tuna. The cheek was good, although a bit too salty for my taste. The tuna wasn't showcased well enough; you could barely taste anything but the sesame. For our final course, we ordered the cheese course and the baked chocolate mousse with a scoop of sorbet. The cheese plate looked rather empty, given its small size for just three tiny pieces of cheese. I think the portion size was okay, but the presentation wasn't quite right. And I also appreciate a few accompaniments on a cheese plate: two or three grapes, a slice of marzipan, and some dried fruit... The chocolate mousse was delicious. A very interesting hot-cold contrast. For this restaurant, I think you should choose traditional dishes (well-prepared). The service was friendly, fun, and offered good advice on wine pairings.

29/09/2026: I had a wonderful time at this restaurant from the moment I walked in. I was greeted very warmly. I got a delicious & nutritious salad, with a fresh orange juice. The host, Tom, was so sweet - and spoke perfect English and French, and he is from Cambodia! It was a lovely experience, incredible views, and fresh food!

23/09/2026: A ridge in the Alps on the other side of Chamonix, with Mont Blanc in front of us. A heavenly experience.

12/04/2026: Overall, the brasserie is decent, but the food is rather mediocre. It can still be a pleasant place for a quick bite and a chat with friends. However, the service was truly disappointing. On this particular Sunday, it was clear the waitress didn't want to be there: no smile, little politeness, and no particular attention to detail. As a manager, it would be essential to hold a team meeting to address this and improve the customer experience.

25/09/2026: I already knew about it, having been there 3 years ago! The place is exceptional, always a pleasure to return! The meal was perfect (salmon with mixed vegetables). The service was excellent, the servers always doing their best to ensure satisfaction, thank you to them! However, this neighborhood is very busy and crowded = a tip: take the metro, a bike for those who can, or Uber! Parking is impossible and almost all the streets are one-way... Be patient if you're driving... Don't hesitate to explore it by other means. Enjoy your meal!
