30/06/2026: Things got off to a bad start with no greeting from the waiter. We ordered two cocktails, which were fine. I asked for a carafe of water as well, but received no response. The waiter arrived with a glass of water. I asked if it was possible to have a carafe, and was told no because "we're in a bar, you have to buy drinks to make money." I turned my head and saw two tables with carafes of water. We decided to order a small snack, and then I added, "Since we're ordering drinks, could I have a carafe of water, please?" I received a dirty look, followed by, "We don't serve carafes, only glasses of water." I replied that I had seen two tables near us with carafes. The response was, "But they're ordering drinks," and the waiter left immediately. I didn't even have time to reply. I reminded him that it was over 30°C (86°F) and that I had just ordered a cocktail AND food. In short, the starter arrived with the carafe of water (finally!), but it was defrosted, not good, and clearly cold. To top it off, the waiter remarked, "I hope to see you behind the barrier one day." I asked him what he meant, and he was talking about seeing me serve people in a restaurant, unaware that I've worked in the restaurant industry and have never refused anyone water. And even if I hadn't worked in restaurants, when it's hot outside, you don't refuse your customers a carafe of water. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

03/06/2026: Was a day of heavy rain showers ...so I popped in ...I asked for fish and chips ...no fish and chips ...awwwe I had chicken tenders ..water and a coffee ...18 Euro...I thought it was great value . Waiter has a specific charm ...he could be part of a comedy act ... Brightened up my day ..

19/07/2026: I visited this lovely restaurant with my boyfriend’s family, and we had such a wonderful experience. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. Every dish was made with fresh, high-quality local ingredients, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. I especially loved the boudin noir and the mojito tiramisu. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends, and I can’t wait to come back.

08/07/2026: Wanting to have a drink on the busy terrace, the person in charge of service confirmed that it was indeed open, but not for drinks. You have to be a hotel guest to sit down at a table. A shame, and strange; the small, creative tea room nearby is charming and welcoming, and the pastries are delicious.

20/05/2026: Personally, we eat there when we leave Milhas, where my daughter used to live, to go to Aveyron, where we live, and we love the atmosphere and the friendly feel of the place. Everything is top-notch: the menu, the welcome, and the very cozy decor! MR

29/04/2026: First review 1 year ago. I ate there. I thoroughly enjoyed it. A real pleasure. A very warm welcome. Beautifully presented plates. Generous portions, just the way we like them, and delicious. Fresh salad. Fresh fries made from real potatoes. Impeccable service. And a reasonable price. Today, this restaurant, which used to be a meeting place where we'd settle up, is unfortunately no longer the same. The menu has changed, which is understandable, but it's completely different. The service was very slow, even though the restaurant only seats about 10 people. Limited choices and a hefty bill. Really disappointed. I don't think I'll be going back.

05/07/2026: We had our meal on the terrace in a pleasant setting with a lovely view of the square. It was a shame there were so many smokers at the neighboring tables. The waitress and the owner were friendly and welcoming. The meal was good and plentiful.

12/06/2026: First time going to a traditional Flemish pub and we weren't disappointed at all. Warm welcome and excellent food! Highly recommended!

01/06/2026: A somewhat disappointing evening in terms of taste. The waitress didn't know the dishes, forgot to bring us the carafe of water and coffee at the end of the meal, but didn't forget to charge us for it. We pointed this out when paying, but the waitress, who was standing next to the waiter handling the payment (who did offer us coffee at the counter and apologize for our dissatisfaction), offered no apology. Similarly, when we brought our plates back, the same waitress, to whom we spoke about our dissatisfaction with one dish (the scallops were overcooked, bland, and only two out of three were returned), said she would pass on the information. We never heard back, hence the complaint, which we felt was important to report. On the other hand, we were pleasantly surprised by the desserts, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We always enjoyed good food and excellent service under the previous owners, but now with the new owners, we won't be returning anytime soon. Too disappointing for just one evening. We do not recommend this establishment.

30/05/2026: Some rooms are outdated, and the value for money is disappointing. Upon arrival, the air conditioning was broken, even though it was 30°C outside. As a result, we were in unbearably hot conditions all night, and the staff offered no alternative solution at the time. The services are not really commensurate with the price charged!

28/02/2026: Hello, we chose the €31 set menu with foie gras and chicken in a pot. The foie gras was of poor quality, probably a budget option. As for the chicken in a pot, it wasn't a real chicken in a pot at all, but rather a chicken boiled in a pot of water. It had no flavor and lacked tomato sauce. 🍅... It's a shame that the restaurant Chez Oliver next door is closed, or perhaps the former owners of the Henri IV could show them how to make it properly. Unfortunately, there are very few restaurants left where you can enjoy a good chicken in a pot, and you have to go a bit further from the château. The dessert was satisfactory.

09/07/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant. The welcome was very pleasant, and the portions were generous and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and highly recommend this restaurant.

29/05/2026: We came to eat one weekday evening; there were four of us, and we were the only customers in the restaurant. An error was made in the kitchen with an extra dish. We were offered it to eat to avoid it being thrown away, which we accepted in the spirit of reducing food waste. To our surprise, we saw this dish added to the bill. After we pointed it out, €10 was deducted, but it remains incomprehensible. If the dish is offered to avoid waste, why is it being charged? This somewhat marred what could have been a very pleasant experience.

03/06/2026: Excellent location if you want to visit the D-Day landing beaches. The American Cemetery, Sainte-Mer-l'Église, Colleville-sur-Mer, and Bayeux town center are all within walking distance. The room needs renovation. Breakfast is available upon reservation for approximately €15. Room service is minimal.

01/06/2026: Basic hotel that is ideal for visit not requiring hotel amenities - excellent price - 10 minute walk to train station, 15 minutes to downtown Bayeux - exterior entrance next to farm and horse breeder - good (not great) breakfast - room was clean, quiet, good bathroom / shower, no issues at all

21/07/2026: Very nice and large room, the carpet was comfortable and very clean, excellent breakfast, pool area useful for relaxing the children, even if small.

10/07/2026: Thursday, July 2, 2026 The hotel is very well located, just a few minutes' walk from Colmar city center. Excellent hotel. A perfect overnight stay. Pleasant room and spotless, nothing to complain about. Magical indoor pool. Pleasant welcome. The staff is great, both day and night. The breakfast is generous. 07/03/2026: They don't serve the dishes at the same time; we receive our food after others have already finished their meals. The service needs improvement. The food is of poor quality.
