25/06/2026: As a tradesman, you never eat at the same place twice… sometimes it’s just okay, sometimes it’s good… and today, while working in Cysoing, we went to L’Hamboscade without even checking the reviews. I recommend it: very good fries, good sandwiches, and a warm welcome.

25/06/2026: My husband chose steak and fries and an ice cream for dessert; it wasn't too bad. I went for the scampi skewer and chocolate mousse. The grilled scampi were dry and therefore difficult to peel, and the chocolate mousse was days old, resulting in a hard, dried-out layer on top. The beers were nice and cold, though, and the fries were nice and juicy.

05/06/2026: A lovely roadside establishment with parking across the street. The meats are cooked over a wood fire on a beautiful grill. The owner is very pleasant and does both the cooking and serving. The desserts are homemade.

06/07/2026: A very pretty restaurant, with a pleasant atmosphere and lovely decor. Unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our experience. From the moment we ordered an aperitif, we simply wanted to order a juice, but they were already out. We were then offered a house cocktail as a replacement… completely tasteless, slightly fizzy when it wasn't supposed to be, and really giving the impression of having been made with the dregs of a bottle. The menu is quite small, which suggests that the dishes are carefully prepared and made with care, especially considering the prices. Unfortunately, this was absolutely not the case. We ordered zucchini tagliatelle with Boursin cream sauce. The dish was covered in a spice whose name we don't yet know, but which completely overpowered all the other flavors with a particularly unpleasant taste. It was simply inedible. We left our two plates almost untouched, which is something we never do. Another detail that doesn't inspire confidence: we arrived right when they opened, and two tables still hadn't been cleared from the previous day's service. It's a real shame, because the place is charming and the prices suggest quality cuisine. Unfortunately, the food falls far short of the setting.

05/07/2026: A must-do stop before catching your train! The burgers smell deliciously homemade, and the taste is incredible. It's a shame I don't live in Paris to try all the destinations.

12/07/2026: We chose this restaurant by chance to celebrate my sister's birthday, and what a wonderful surprise! A hearty and delicious meal: a flavorful cassoulet and a generous, gourmet salad. The owner was very attentive, and the waitresses and waiters took excellent care of us throughout the evening. In short, a memorable evening that my sister won't soon forget.
