16/05/2026: My rating is a combination of our stay in the hotel which I’d rate 5 stars and dinner in their restaurant at 3 stars. We had a lovely room with balcony overlooking the valley. Our hostess was so welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Ideas for walks; drinks on the terrace. The room itself is comfortable with a good bed. Our dinner was disappointing. My beef was just OK. Some of it was so sinewy I couldn’t cut or chew it. My wife’s local special of the rolled pork was awful. She said it tasted like cardboard it was so dry. The service was excellent and the outlook of the restaurant is lovely. Perhaps we just got unlucky 🧐

05/07/2026: We had lunch at La Marmite yesterday on the terrace and had a wonderful time. The steak tartare, served with homemade fries, was delicious, as was the chocolate mousse for dessert. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and the location is ideal. I highly recommend it!

27/06/2026: A pleasant surprise. Unpretentious and friendly. Very good value for money. People come here for simple, tasty dishes. I was delighted with my €19 set menu: a truly excellent head cheese, a generously sized stuffed squid that was incredibly tender and delicious, and a rum baba just the way I like it—perfectly soaked and rich. The young waitress was very friendly and professional; thank you to her.

05/06/2026: This is one of the few hotels where people still live and work. The rooms are very clean, and the staff is courteous and friendly. The cakes and pastries are absolutely delicious. 😋 The only downside is that the breakfast could use something more savory (eggs, sausage, and cheese). But hey, this is France! 🤷🏼‍♂️

08/03/2026: A lovely family run hotel in a perfect location right at the bottom of the Prodains Express lift. We have stayed here 4 times now, and it’s always a lovely stay. The whole family work really hard to ensure that their guests have a great stay. The restaurant is excellent with lots of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The heated outdoor pool was opened this year too, which is a fantastic addition to an already great hotel. See you next year ⛷️

02/05/2026: The highlight is the restaurant. They set the bar so high that we didn't enjoy any other restaurant for the rest of our stay in Alsace. The hotel itself is simple, but clean and nicely decorated with artwork. The service is impeccable—pleasant, helpful, and warm. It's a real treat and almost a rarity these days to find this level of quality in tourist areas.

20/04/2026: No swimming pool. The rooms are a bit bland. Nevertheless, we had a good night's sleep. The restaurant isn't anything special; I found it very basic and average considering the price. The positive point is the large parking lot. So my opinion is rather mixed. I think it's a bit expensive for what's offered, but it wasn't unpleasant.

28/07/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an incredible dining experience! From the moment we sat down, we were welcomed with complimentary olives, fresh bread, and water, a lovely touch that set the tone for the meal. I had the incredible 3-course menu for just 28€, which was exceptional value. I started with the smoked salmon, followed by perfectly cooked fish and chips served with a fresh salad, and finished with a delicious pistachio crème brûlée. I also enjoyed some lovely white wine (Chardonnay), which paired beautifully with the meal. My daughter chose the steak with fries for just 21€, and it was cooked perfectly. The steak sauce was absolutely amazing, rich, flavourful, and one of the best we’ve ever tasted! The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and every course exceeded our expectations. Combined with the excellent service and fantastic prices, this was one of the best value meals we’ve had. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for outstanding food, generous hospitality, and amazing value for money!

06/07/2026: I never expected to find the best pain au chocolat in Paris in this little bakery... One of my partner's favorite activities is trying out different bakeries... He always gets a pain au chocolat. It's a good benchmark. We've tried all sorts of trendy, fashionable (and expensive) bakeries in the capital. Then one morning, it was early, near our place, and no bakeries were open, and I wanted to bring him a pain au chocolat for breakfast... So I stopped by this simple bakery, which was open early. I went home feeling almost apologetic: "It's just the pain au chocolat from the local bakery..." When he tasted the pain au chocolat, his eyes literally widened, and he told me it was the best pain au chocolat he'd ever had. Since then, he only wants to go there, so we go back every week. We love it, and the service is always so warm!

25/02/2026: A pastry shop and bakery offering kalb louz and chamia (without louz or almonds) for 12 euros a tray is a rip-off; it's full of sugar and uncooked semolina. I don't recommend this pastry shop during Ramadan.
