16/11/2025: We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Ouistreham, and especially the Hôtel Restaurant Le Phare. The food was generous, the breakfast delicious, and the staff attentive to guests' needs and very welcoming – a real pleasure. The room was perfect, with comfortable bedding. The location is excellent, a lively area, lovely for walking, and directly accessible from a beautiful cycle path for exploring this beautiful region. Thank you to all the staff!

09/07/2025: A customer of this Nice specialty restaurant for over 10 years, I was very disappointed on Friday, July 4, 2025 to be served 5 defrosted shrimps when I ordered a prawn skewer. So 2 small bites to peel and dry. Snail butter on my goat cheese.......very disappointed! And the staff was off the mark....it's no longer the address I knew

07/07/2025: Excellent service! The waiters, Thomas and Robert, were very nice and very accommodating! They had a fantastic sense of humor, and the happy hour was definitely worth it! The food was delicious and the value for money was definitely good! I highly recommend it!

26/10/2025: A lovely surprise in Tourette-sur-Loup!!!! A relaxing family welcome, just the way we like them :)))))) Homemade cuisine prepared by the chef who inspired us and our 7-year-old son a lot!! The owner is amazing and authentic, just like her lovely restaurant. Thank you both for the atmosphere and this wonderful time spent together.

13/10/2025: We thoroughly enjoyed the Provençal octopus. The red wine, recommended by the manager, paired perfectly with the dish. We were very well received, and we highly recommend it.

31/01/2026: Disappointing experience. Incredibly long wait, over 30 minutes before our order was taken. Our aperitif arrived after the main courses, which were lukewarm. The food was good, but the portions were too small for a light appetite. The truffade wasn't the best, and the pounti was good but under-seasoned. Okay if you're in the area, but don't make the trip!

31/01/2026: The restaurant's decor is fabulous, unusual, and worth seeing. The menu is enticing and promises a real treat. However, the atmosphere is cold, with few smiles from the staff, especially the cashier. We had to ask twice for bread before finally going to get it ourselves. The dishes were already lukewarm. We were completely forgotten about dessert. The quality of the meal could be good if the cooking times were properly respected, starting with the overcooked and dry pounti in the appetizer. The compote was decent but served simply in a bowl. A small biscuit would have been a nice touch. Many small details are lacking: missing rivets on the knives, no toilet paper in the restrooms... It's a shame. The place is lovely and the menu promising.

21/02/2026: Hello, very disappointed. We waited half an hour only to have the coffee machine repaired and found to be broken. We bought stale pastries, so avoid this place! 😭

27/12/2023: Très déçu du service, nous étions une table de 6 qui avaient envie de profiter du moment, au final nous avons du écourter (ni dessert ou café) à cause de la serveuse qui s'est montré mal aimable, peu souriante, oubliant les sauces pour les burgers, nous laissant attendre très (trop) longtemps après avoir fini nos plats qui étaient d'ailleurs froid à peine arrivé. La serveuse a même eu le temps de prendre d'autres commandes autour de nous, et de débarrasser les tables vides, sans s'occuper de nous. Vous avez sans doute perdu 6 clients qui pourtant auraient pu continuer à commander.

27/01/2026: Joined some friends and had a wonderful lunch. Meals tasting delicious and perfection presentation. Service was on spot and kind and generous. Toilets are up the stairs.

27/01/2026: Many countries represented by dishes 💶💶💶💶💶💶💶💶 A quick reminder to the servers: When setting a table, avoid holding cutlery by the sides, as these are then brought to the mouth!! It's a matter of hygiene.

16/08/2025: A dinner... memorable, but not for the right reasons... If you dream of an evening where you're ignored upon arrival, where the music is slow (the musicians took more breaks than the music), and where the mosquitoes are the only ones really having a good time... then Gypsie Beach is for you! We arrived without a welcome—apparently, autonomy is in vogue. Once seated, we waited for the music, which finally started around 8:40 p.m., before the musicians regularly disappeared for long breaks. A live atmosphere, yes... but in homeopathic doses. As for the food, it was a bit of a lottery. The fish was frankly good—a real ray of sunshine. As for the rest, let's just say that the vacuum-packed supermarket salad needs no introduction, and the paella could have done with a little something... like flavor. The restrooms, meanwhile, offer an immersive experience in the world of minimalism: no soap, no towels, nothing. Fingers crossed that the hygiene in the kitchen is more inspired. And to top it all off, no measures against mosquitoes. You'd think they were the establishment's only loyal customers. In short: a beautiful place, but one that seems to focus mainly on the decor while forgetting everything else. Too bad! I hope this comment might be an eye-opener for the establishment's manager! And for those who read the reviews when they're hesitant about spending their evening there (mosquito-wise, it might be better to have lunch there than dinner). Really a shame, we had chosen this place to spend our last evening of vacation...

09/01/2026: This restaurant is located on the N4 highway just outside Saint-Dizier, Haute-Marne, heading from the provinces towards Paris. We had lunch there: steak tartare with fries and a hamburger with fries, salad, and a cheese plate. The tartare was perfectly seasoned, and the ground beef was of good quality. Our only slight complaint was that the fries weren't homemade; it's a shame, as we prefer to pay a little more for good fries. We were seated at a late hour for the provinces (1:40 pm), which was a big plus. The dining room is spacious, and the tables are well-spaced, another good point. The service was professional and pleasant, yet another plus. The bill wasn't exorbitant, a final good point. We highly recommend this culinary stop. Simple, good, and good value for money.

08/01/2026: No welcome whatsoever, food and wine were decent but expensive. The waiter was very good. The atmosphere was very cold. Otherwise, there's a large parking lot including electric vehicle charging stations. In fact, the service is only good for regulars. We only ordered one dish and a 50cl carafe of wine for four people.

30/12/2025: Traditional cuisine, good and generous portions, impeccable welcome and service. A little more decoration is needed, and the seating could use updating!

02/02/2026: Good experience at this restaurant very close to Marques Avenue, friendly welcome, efficient service, and good food. Correction to the previous review: it is possible to order any dish from the menu, even during sales periods. Review dated February 2, 2026.

20/01/2026: When you see the managers' responses to criticism, I think that all the energy spent insulting and humiliating these customers should be used elsewhere. These criticisms could lead to self-reflection, but apparently stupidity prevails. If you have even a basic understanding of cooking, you don't serve ratatouille in January. And the "origin of the meat" label—France or EU—aren't they taking us for fools?

14/01/2026: It doesn't look like much, but the prices are reasonable, and the food is very good.

16/12/2025: Very very disappointing, tasteless dishes, extremely slow service, some had finished eating when the last person was served, no questioning of the complaint, only "yes but yes but".
