04/09/2026: Nice little restaurant that has the advantage of being open between seasons in the region. Friendly service, decent food.

24/08/2026: Double espresso ordered on the terrace, served coldly by a woman who didn't seem to enjoy her job; the coffee tasted bland, like dishwater. Avoid it!!

09/08/2026: Amazing karaoke night! Fantastic atmosphere, the owner and staff were fantastic, I highly recommend this place. Oh, and I almost forgot, the DJ that evening (Friday, August 7th) was absolutely brilliant and had a voice that will blow you away!

15/05/2026: So, we didn't actually eat because we arrived at 12:55 PM and still hadn't been served by 1:45 PM, and we had to be back at work at 2:00 PM! So we went back to work without having eaten. What a great brasserie! UNACCEPTABLE. First and last time I'll ever set foot in there. The organization needs a serious overhaul.

22/09/2026: A lovely restaurant, the food is homemade and very tasty. Excellent value for money. My compliments to the chef for the salmon dish served on a bed of vegetables. With its sea view, the restaurant has everything you need for a great time, no matter where you're seated!

16/09/2026: The food was inedible, and we are very flexible and simple people. The veggie burger was completely burnt, the fries were soggy, and the fish and chips were raw... The bathroom was dirty and smelly, and the final touch: it was incredibly sad to see the lobsters piled up with their claws tied, ready to be thrown alive into boiling water. This last comment isn't the reason for the low rating, as it's unfortunately legal, but the food was truly of extremely poor quality, typical of a throwaway tourist restaurant.

26/10/2026: After a 10-hour drive, it was a real pleasure to sit down at La Mangoune. A warm welcome despite the packed dining room. Excellent homemade dishes, generous portions, and finally a proper children's menu offering something other than chicken nuggets and fries. The waitstaff were lovely, and our daughters were pleasantly surprised as we left, each receiving a small gift. We will definitely return to La Mangoune Riom.

25/10/2026: The waitress was completely clueless; he tried to make us believe he could remember everything without taking notes, but he was wrong! He was just full of hot air! The food was terrible. Avoid at all costs. We had a very bad experience.

03/07/2026: We received a fantastic welcome at this hotel; they were incredibly accommodating and practical regarding our bikes. The rooms are small but clean and functional. It was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. We also ate there in the evening, and it was superb! The crepes were delicious! And the waitress was very friendly. In short, we felt very welcome. There's a lovely view from one side of the hotel! Thank you for the warm welcome!

01/07/2026: There's a big party (school prom?) happening at the chateau this evening. I would expect a hotel to notify its guests of such an event. I have a long travel day tomorrow and was expecting an early night (especially being mid-week).

24/04/2026: A very beautiful and charming hotel. It's a real treat to be able to work remotely from their garden overlooking the lake. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. The only improvement worth noting is that they don't have a dinner menu; they might suggest what they have available at the time.

31/07/2026: Cycling along the Burgundy Canal, we were looking for a restaurant and stumbled upon this gem: a village bar and restaurant just the way we like them: a friendly atmosphere, simple and tasty food, and very nice owners. It was Thursday, calf's head day, and it was delicious. Go there, it's a really pleasant place.

18/06/2026: If you like authenticity, this is the place: a smiling owner, excellent cuisine, in short, I highly recommend it.

20/10/2026: Excellent restaurant, everything is homemade, the ingredients are of very high quality, and the flavor combination is exceptional. Everything is beautifully presented. The best part is that for the children's menu, you choose from one of the adult dishes with portions adapted for children, so you won't find anything like steak and fries or nuggets... Highly recommended! Excellent value for money!

20/10/2026: What a wonderful lunch! The owner is a charming and charismatic man with an obvious love for his community and an impeccable eye for amazing wines. The lunch service was tasty and cozy, and they were very welcoming to American visitors. So glad we stopped in!

07/10/2026: A magnificent place. Romantic. Right on the beach, you can eat while listening to the waves. The food is perfect. If you like dark profiteroles! But for two people, it's more reasonable since the portions are enormous! And the staff is incredibly kind. We had a wonderful evening. I highly recommend it.

22/09/2026: Exceptional setting but very average food

20/09/2026: It was a bit disappointing: when a restaurant is selected by Gault & Millau, you are entitled to expect something. Beautiful location, but the food and service were somewhat underwhelming. The starters were very reasonable (Shrimp and Tempura, Tartare aux 3 Tomates & Burrata), but the main course (Pâtes aux gambas) was a real letdown. Not very refined, the shrimps were just not quite cooked enough, and the sauce was a bit strange. And that for the most expensive main course on the menu. And unfortunately, the service wasn't exactly something to get excited about either. A pity.

07/10/2026: We sat down on the terrace for a coffee. In the shade of the plane trees, we were able to relax and enjoy the moment. It was perfect for us.
