20/07/2026: A very good culinary experience. The food and drink menu is varied and the prices are reasonable. The service is quick and the staff are friendly and helpful! I highly recommend it, I will be back!!

28/06/2026: Excellent food and a beautiful setting on the outdoor terrace. Unfortunately, the service during our visit was disappointing. They couldn't give me the wines on offer, only "white, rosé, red," yet I was charged for the most expensive one. There was a price list on a display stand next to the till, but they never brought it to me. For dessert, I ordered a caramel panna cotta, and to my surprise, I was brought a red fruit coulis. The person supposedly didn't have paper and a pen to write down my order and just took what was ready in the kitchen. I don't regret insisting on my order, though, because the caramel was delicious!

Thank you also to "Les Deux Abeilles" for sharing the history of this beautiful establishment with me with such undiminished passion. FYI: I had the eggplant papeton, the strawberry-rhubarb crumble, and the homemade lemonade with ginger. 😋😋😋

14/07/2026: Beautiful restaurant/bar where we had a drink and ordered some ice cream sundaes. The lady was super helpful. 4/5 stars because, unfortunately, we didn't have any simple lunch options. A full meal was too much during our bike ride around the lake. The quality of the ice cream was more than fine, so I expect that applies to the other meals as well.

29/06/2026: We celebrated our wedding there on June 27th. We were delighted, and so were our 60 guests. The cocktail hour and the workshops were a huge success; they were truly top-notch. The meal was equally successful, featuring very high-quality ingredients from appetizer to dessert. The staff were incredibly attentive, always smiling and responsive to our requests. 26/07/2026: I arrived at this establishment with six friends, practically drooling with anticipation, so highly praised had it been. Once there, reality quickly proved otherwise. One of the major advantages that remains since the change of ownership is online booking. And it was precisely this booking that convinced us to stay at our table. Indeed, it was Saturday, and as tradition dictates, we were taking advantage of every dance in Mouans-Sartoux to accompany the town's elderly clientele. What could be better than having a table reserved for us, right next to the dance floor? The Place to Beers was the go-to spot. However, no sooner had we sat down than we received the "special dance" menu. A new feature since the change of ownership. Imagine our astonishment at the frankly Cannes-like prices. A plate of tapas for €25 in Mouans-Sartoux, really? Even the pasta restaurant owner wouldn't dare stoop to this level, and God knows he's the very embodiment of greed in the Bible. Besides, Cannes at least has the decency to offer a decent setting. You're gentrifying a popular event, and that's absolutely despicable. But let's overlook the prices. Once you've looked at the menu and its prices, and tightened your belt a bit more than expected, what about the choices? Oh, well, a change of ownership just a week ago and practically no vegetarian options? A tapas mix with chicken wings, calamari fritters, spring rolls, and samosas. A cheese and charcuterie platter. Colorful tomatoes with stracciatella and Parma ham. A caparccio, a pinsa with Parma ham. And that's just the beginning. Oh yes, a quick mention for the stuffed vegetables (basically a plate of vegetables, at €20) and the truffle tagliatelle (€24). Not even a vegetarian alternative to the burger, the pinsa, or the tapas platter. Offering vegetarian options isn't about catering to just one dietary need; it's about giving everyone (excluding those with intolerances) the opportunity to enjoy a meal. Could you tell us, "We should have checked before coming?" I'd love that! Your website is unfortunately outdated, even though reservations are still possible through it. Your special menu for dances isn't listed there either, or at least it's not prominently displayed. It's difficult to plan ahead, yet it's a necessary precaution when several people in a group have different dietary requirements. And then, events unfolded one after another. There weren't "enough water carafes for all the tables" (on a dance day, really?), three employees took turns serving our table, information was given twice and still didn't arrive (the glass of wine and prosecco was omitted, the sauces never arrived, nor did the bread...). To create vegetarian options (and to avoid abandoning our reservation for seven people), we ordered a cheeseburger without a patty, and two pinsas without ham. And the one that was supposed to have ham... arrived without it. Naturally, the service isn't to blame. The staff are probably new hires and it's a busy day. They're doing the best they can, and this isn't a rant against the people who took the time to serve us. They're simply dependent on the resources available to them. I appreciate the offer of a coffee or a limoncello as an apology for the inconvenience, but I'm not sure it resolves anything regarding the menu's diversity. Recent reviews speak for themselves; even though the change is very recent, it's urgent to adapt to the modern world, and offering shots of limoncello doesn't really change that. Women are often asked, "Would you rather choose the man or the bear?" I think they'd answer "the man" rather than The Place to Beers, and that says it all.

14/07/2026: A couple of friends and I spotted a table outside for drinks. We asked the waiter if we could sit down. He asked us to wait two minutes while he cleared the table. The owner arrived with two customers to seat them at our table. We explained that the waiter had told us to wait because he was going to prepare the table for us. The owner (or waiter, who thinks he's the boss, "I'm the one who decides") kicked us out, telling us that he was the one who decided! So much for customer service and business acumen. Pathetic. (I'm not mistaken about the establishment.)

30/06/2026: First visit for a relaxing cocktail, and we were immediately warmly welcomed and the cocktail was fantastic. We went back for dinner. The €31 set menu was very generous and delicious! The fried fish was amazing, the sea bass prepared with a medley of vegetables was divine, followed by chocolate mousse. The servers were super friendly, smiling, and pleasant. The atmosphere was always great. We'll be back as soon as possible. I highly recommend it!

03/08/2026: CATASTROPHIC Endless wait for the table to be cleaned, same for being served, same for the restrooms, same for... paying... it can take forever!! In the middle of peak season, during a big fair in Issigeac... we ordered two very simple dishes: an omelet and a croque monsieur with a green salad: sorry, we're out of salad... can we substitute tomatoes? Oh, sorry, we're out of tomatoes! Who manages the supplies? Completely disorganized service because they're overwhelmed, canteen-style food, exorbitant prices: AVOID AT ALL COSTS (go to the next town, La Bastide, because the food options in Issigeac are frankly terrible).

01/08/2026: Just a nice little restaurant, the duck with fries and the salad with fried goat cheese were tasty, friendly service. It was extremely busy, so the wait was correspondingly long.
