30/06/2026: The interior is really tastefully decorated. The atmosphere is nice and the service is great, the staff is pleasant. Unfortunately, it's expensive for what you get...a pork chop and pasta for €16, add dessert and a drink and you're quickly over €30...it's a brasserie, but a luxury one, so...it's definitely not a restaurant we'll be going to very often 🫤

18/07/2026: We had dinner at this restaurant on Monday, July 13th, the day of the Chinaillon festival. We were very disappointed by the manager's cold welcome and the meal itself. It was mass-produced food, like the Reblochon cheese fritters, which were really bad. It's a tourist trap; we strongly advise against going there. It's also very expensive.

11/04/2026: Horrible service , the food in the main restaurant is terrible and the service in the restaurant is teribble! The rooms are not that clean. They didn’t add more towels when they were all used. The room was soooooooo hot, the bed is uncomfortable and so are the pillows. In breakfast they charge you money if you ask for fresh orange juice, in the half board they caculate at dinner what you order and the if you exceed 65 euro per person they charge you extra. The only good thing I have to say is about the ski shop - Andy was so lovely and gave us the best service. Bottom line this is not a 5 stars hotel

07/04/2026: Great experience despite reading the mixed reviews. The staffs and conceige were all very friendly and approachable, we had a great time with gd memories of our stay Heated ski lockers and ski in/out was super convenient. Not to mention the ski rental is just beside the lobby. Special mention to the one of the conceige staff ( a young guy sorry we din get his name ) who assisted my hubby with the winter socks for our rental car. He even gave us 2 bottles of water for the road. These kind gestures meant so much to us. Oh the free shuttle to town and back were such a nice touch esp on snowy days. Thank you Altapura for adding fond memories to our French alps adventure. Hope to be back in near future as we are from far away Asia.

14/06/2026: A wonderful discovery of this peaceful and pleasant place in a beautiful region. The warm welcome from the owners, the delicious meals, and the ambiance made us feel like we were staying with friends. We were delighted with our stay.

23/05/2026: We chose this inn for its amenities (set menu, swimming pool, waterfront location), its promising photos and reviews, but once there, we were very disappointed. Our reservation for the set menu on the first evening was forgotten, so we had to go out again for dinner. The swimming pool wasn't open, and the grounds were poorly maintained. Air fresheners were placed on every electrical outlet in the hallway to mask the damp smell of the building, and the rooms smelled musty. The couple who run the establishment are English; while he makes an effort to speak French, she doesn't, which severely limits communication.

30/07/2026: Unfortunately, the food fell far short of the expectations raised by the location, the friendly staff, and especially the prices. We ordered the chicken, lamb chop, and steak frites and were more than disappointed with everything. The sauces were awful, the fries soggy, and the mashed potatoes disgusting. Some of the meat was inedible—either too dry and tough (chicken), too sinewy (lamb), and the beef far too chewy. It was a huge disappointment, especially considering the high price of around €136. A real shame. Great location, great staff, terrible food!

05/07/2026: Excellent! Generous portions and super friendly service. In summer, the terrace is perfect for a peaceful dinner. Note the new opening hours: they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

30/05/2026: A small hotel with a beautiful view of Port-Vieux Beach. We had a deluxe room, plenty of space, and it was very clean. All the amenities and furniture were in good condition. The breakfast was modest—continental—but reasonably priced. You can also order an omelet or other items from the menu for an extra fee. There's no elevator, but the staff carried our luggage up and out of the room. Overall, our stay was very good. I'd love to come back and spend more time there.
