06/07/2026: Excellent hotel for travelers, vacationers, and business travelers alike. The room was spotless and the setting pleasant, although the road nearby wasn't unbearable. The owner, Paule, is very professional and friendly; she did everything she could to make me comfortable during my month-long stay. Thank you again.

06/07/2026: We wish to share our profound disappointment regarding the service provided at our wedding on Saturday, July 4th. Unfortunately, numerous shortcomings severely marred this day, which we had been planning for months. First, Paule's lack of professionalism and attitude throughout the evening shocked our guests. She was particularly unpleasant to our guests, but also to her own server and our DJ, whom she addressed disrespectfully and inappropriately on several occasions. Even on Friday evening, during the venue setup, she refused to move the bulky equipment as agreed, curtly saying, "I'm not going to move everything!" Here are the main issues with the service: The cocktail hour: ** Set up inside without our consent, even though it was planned to be outside. Furthermore, the quantities were far too small; several guests pointed out the lack of food. The aperitif: ** The champagne soup we specifically requested resembled lemonade with syrup, with no hint of alcohol. The meal: ** The children's tables were cleared before some had even finished (or started) their plates. Throughout dinner, we felt constant pressure to eat as quickly as possible to meet the establishment's requirements, all without a single smile or any kindness. The dessert: ** Paule refused to inform the DJ about the lighting and flame effects planned for the wedding cake, claiming that the cake had to be served immediately. The bride had to intervene firmly to ensure the planned order was followed. Inappropriate requests: ** We found it very inappropriate that she insisted heavily on the DJ and musicians making an announcement over the PA system asking guests to leave Google reviews for her establishment. This kind of behavior has no place at a wedding. The room: ** A room booked at the last minute for my brother was charged €80 for 4 hours, even though it was listed at €65 on Booking.com. The response to our surprise was very curt. The next day, during the final payment, Paule's behavior completely changed, suddenly becoming much more friendly. We tried to have a constructive, face-to-face discussion to inform her of these issues. Unfortunately, no attempt at self-reflection was possible; the host preferred to attribute the matter to an imaginary personal animosity—"you haven't liked me from the start"—rather than take responsibility for her professional conduct. So, I understand that you need to make money, Paule, but you should think about your retirement, because these events are making you bitter. Given the budget invested for such an event, the service is absolutely inadequate. We do not recommend this establishment for weddings. Elodie and Aurélien

27/06/2026: A magnificent and very welcoming hotel; the wooden staircase adds a lot of charm. I particularly liked the lobby and reception area! The staff is incredibly attentive to its guests. My room was very clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was also greatly appreciated in this heat! The meal in the restaurant was delicious! A big thank you to everyone for your extraordinary hospitality.

17/07/2026: Fantastic views, friendly owners, good food. I love this place. My advice, order a proper meal and marvel at the scenery. It is a shame to fill up quickly with a plate of chips and go, although this is an option. It is open in Summer and winter. You can find many local people here which is always a good sign.

10/07/2026: Never disappointed when you eat at L'Escale Blanche, winter or summer, you always have a pleasant time and the food is delicious 😋! Always a friendly welcome 🙂 and a convivial atmosphere 🙂 with the added bonus of a superb panoramic view of the mountains 🌲🌲 Friendly waiters and managers 🌞🌞👍👍

16/06/2026: In one word - WOW. What a spectacular hotel. A 5-star hotel and you really feel it - the location, the helpful, kind staff (special shout to Anthony, Gemma, Emily and Florence who were AMAZING!), the super chic and spacious rooms, with a huge balcony, the lovely breakfast and bar area. There’s even a pool with a sauna! I can’t wait to be back.

13/06/2026: ideal location for visiting Le Marais district for dining and shopping; unique decor and interior, fun and exciting place, favourite place to stay while in Paris for relaxation and fun.

08/07/2026: Excellent lunch under the plane trees on the terrace. Efficient and friendly staff. We will be back.

07/07/2026: There's no point in making reservations on the website or at the email address provided (they clearly don't check them), and when you call after hours of unanswered inquiries, they tell you there are no more seats available on the terrace.

22/07/2026: We spent two nights in a tent at the refuge. The tents were well-equipped, and the sanitary facilities were clean. The meals were good. However, breakfast could be improved. It lacked quantity and variety.

19/07/2026: A very warm welcome and delicious food

01/07/2026: I'm quite disappointed. I always saw a long queue outside this bakery and was eager to try it. I bought an individual kouign-amann and a flan. The kouign-amann was definitely one of the worst I've ever eaten: it was bland, very greasy, and contained very little puff pastry. It mostly tasted like margarine and caramel. As for the flan, it was yellow, with a color reminiscent of mayonnaise. It had very little flavor and was more like a mass-produced flan from the supermarket. No creaminess, no real vanilla flavor. I might try the bread next time, but as it stands, I don't recommend either of these pastries.

10/07/2026: I highly recommend this restaurant. The welcome is excellent, the atmosphere is great, and everything else is simply sublime (I've been eating at this restaurant for over a year and frankly, I've never been disappointed 😉).

22/07/2026: After being swarmed by wasps on the terrace, we moved inside where the air conditioning practically froze us to death… As for the service, it was decidedly nonchalant. The burgers were large but delicious.

21/07/2026: Honestly, don't bother going to this kind of place anymore. For the same price, there are much better restaurants where the food is authentic. The fries were overcooked, and the two pieces of beef were cooked differently—the waiter couldn't even tell them apart. "Rare" was "medium" and "medium" was "on the sole of your shoe." And the drinks? €4.80 for a Coke... Seriously, does it have some special properties at that price?! Run away! I've been to this place before in the 57 (Moselle department), and I was already disappointed, so on that point, they're living up to their reputation.

18/07/2026: Despite our reservation being for 8am to 10pm, we were greeted with a smile and we ate well.

06/07/2026: A pleasant little stop on our holiday route, we found a very warm welcome on a shaded terrace amidst the locals, a good coffee (with a glass of fresh water and a biscuit), and very clean restrooms. There's even the option of eating on-site (which I didn't try, but a wide selection was displayed).

15/02/2026: We came based on word of mouth. The food was delicious, and the portions were perfect. The atmosphere was a little too noisy for us, probably due to a lack of soundproofing. The simple setting, a beautiful table in the center of the room, and a warm welcome completed this pleasant experience.

27/01/2026: A simple menu, good ingredients! The service was just a tad slow during lunch, but the interior was quite calm and therefore very pleasant. Special mention to the French toast, made with BONNIN brioche, absolutely divine 😋
