20/05/2026: The welcome was icy. You probably have to order more than a coffee to get a thank you, let alone a smile.

13/05/2026: A pleasant spot on the corner of Rue Claude Bernard and Rue de l'Arbalète, which has become a pedestrianized, green space. You can enjoy home-style cooking served by helpful and friendly people.

17/06/2026: A truly awful experience. I'm absolutely shocked. First, the service was incredibly cold, and they seemed to be bothering me if I asked a simple question. Second, avoid the cocktails, especially the mojito (which, oddly enough, is number 2 on the menu). It had no flavor whatsoever; it was just sparkling water and ice cubes with barely any aftertaste of lime/mint/alcohol, and that was just enough to say it had any taste at all. When I politely asked if it would be possible to have a small slice of lime extra because "I really like lime" (instead of being critical), the waiter/bartender said, "We followed the recipe, it's the right amount, there's nothing we can do." Excuse me? A completely unpleasant attitude. I could have even paid the extra, but they were completely unwilling to accommodate me. And on top of that, it cost €7.50 for a tasteless drink. Absolutely ridiculous. The terrace and location seemed really nice, but the service and quality are truly deplorable.

17/06/2026: Brasserie and tobacconist in Montsoreau. Very friendly, summer and winter. Since the beginning of June, it's under new ownership. Every lunchtime from Monday to Saturday, you can have lunch on the terrace or inside; on Sundays, only charcuterie boards are available!

09/07/2026: I arrive at the terrace; people are seated at tables. A chair closes off the terrace, and I ask a customer, "Is it closed?" He replies, "We're on strike!" I realize it's a joke and take a step inside. A man comes out of the café and immediately gets angry: "We're telling you it's closed!" I look at him, both bewildered (this man is out of his mind) and amused (Parisian cafés...). I say calmly, with a smile, "You're not being friendly, that's a fact." He shouts at me, "Use your head!" I reply, "I can't, I'm a woman!" He takes my joke literally and yells, "Don't put words in my mouth!" Needless to say, I'll never be back. There are much more welcoming cafés. This man needs to go back to basics. A simple "sorry we are closed" in even a neutral tone would have sufficed.

08/07/2026: Limited choice and unpleasant service.

30/04/2026: The dishes were very ordinary, so most of them must have been frozen, as were the desserts. It was very expensive for the quality offered, and I got gastroenteritis the next day.

21/04/2026: After visiting the Louvre, we stopped here for happy hour. They served good drinks and excellent appetizers. It's a typical, welcoming place, and the prices are very reasonable considering the area. Recommended!!

16/04/2026: Great place to party and drink with friends. The music is great, the food is not bad, the waiters are good at their job, a guy came up to us to perform impressive magic tricks like turning a cloth into a wine glass. We did wait 10-14 minutes at the entrance for a waiter but it was understandable for such a busy place. Also I’d suggest wearing ear plugs if you don’t want your hearing to be muffled for a few hours 😅

02/04/2026: Cap Horn (Courchevel) Cap Horn is one of those spots you don’t just go to eat, you go for the whole scene. Right next to the altiport, it’s a big, lively place with a great atmosphere, perfect for a long lunch that turns into pre-ski drinks. Music is always on, the service is constant and very attentive, and there’s a clear push to keep things flowing. The menu is broad and easy to navigate. We kept it simple given the prices, which are definitely on the higher side, and went for sushi and pizza to share. Everything was solid, no complaints, but the real value here isn’t the food itself, it’s the overall experience. Drinks are expensive, as expected in Courchevel, but the energy makes up for it. After lunch, the DJ starts turning things up and the whole place shifts into party mode. Not a quiet lunch spot, but if you’re in the mood for a fun, social, high-energy afternoon, it’s hard to beat.

13/05/2026: Everything was perfect. The welcome and the friendliness. The room was very quiet despite the road. The breakfast was very generous. We will be back. Motorcycle parked in front of the hotel. Thank you.

10/02/2026: No welcome whatsoever, cold and tasteless. We went as a family to the bakery section for a break, drawn in by the decor. Once inside, it was awkward. We stood there waiting while the saleswoman and another woman in the back looked at us, but nothing. After 5 minutes, we decided to order. The coffee was very bitter and the pastries bland. My son asked for the restroom and clearly disturbed them. It wasn't very polite, especially since a regular customer came in and was greeted with a "hello" and a glance. Don't waste your time there!

29/07/2026: We had tarte flambée. It was really delicious. Despite my limited French, the server understood me perfectly. Thanks for that! 😊 We sat inside: If you like a rustic atmosphere, this is the place for you. Good value for money.

22/07/2026: I don't understand the negative reviews saying you shouldn't follow everything to the letter and believe the naysayers. We had lunch at a very reasonable price: tarte flambée and sauerkraut for €23—what more could you ask for?! The waiter was very friendly. 👍

23/06/2026: Moules marinières is just seawater with onions, no beards. The tapas are good, the razor clams are good, pan con tomate is tomato paste with cured ham, the fried small pieces aren't fried at all, just taste of salt, and the mussels with aioli are bad, just aioli inside. No high chairs. The only positive point is the waiter with a good memory, and the cocktails are well-balanced.

22/06/2026: Be careful with your change, the waiter tends to forget to give it back. I've been caught out twice just for coffees. If he does the same for a meal, well, at the end of the season, he'll be able to afford a nice vacation! 🤣🤣

28/02/2026: Well located in the old town. The website advertises half-board, but this option is not available. Breakfast is not served as the hotel is closed on Sunday mornings. The hotel room is simple and comfortable, with a double bed (140 cm). The walls are paper-thin, so you can hear everything your neighbors are doing.

08/07/2026: Excellent restaurant. Good traditional Alsatian cuisine, generous portions. Reasonable prices. Good wine (especially the Pinot Blanc). Very calm and relaxed atmosphere.

24/05/2026: Dinner with my son in a retro music atmosphere. For starters, a delicious homemade terrine followed by a potato galette with smoked salmon. It's possible to buy the terrines before leaving.
