08/04/2026: This restaurant owner won't let me use his restroom, even though I spend ten hours a day in my taxi, which can be really tough at times. He's not very welcoming, and his food is very expensive. When I tried to get to the restroom, I saw Picard packaging in the kitchen, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the quality of the food.

09/02/2026: Dinner on Saturday evening, a very warm welcome, a lovely menu, simple yet refined cuisine, reminiscent of a Parisian brasserie. I highly recommend this place. You feel right at home.

25/11/2025: A wonderful discovery, made entirely by chance. The restaurant was almost full on a Tuesday lunchtime, which was very reassuring. The set menu was €17.50 (starter, main course, and dessert), with generous and beautifully presented portions—exactly what was needed for customers heading back to work. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. The setting was pleasant and very clean. Well done, keep it up!

07/06/2026: I live in Belgium and every time I go through France, I look for a La Mie Câline chain because of their cookies. I love them, I buy a lot because I know I'll eat them in a year. They absolutely must open a chain in Belgium! 🙏💕

26/07/2026: We booked a table to try this establishment for the first time. The pastries served were of very good quality and in a more than sufficient quantity to share between two people. However, we were quite disappointed by the service and had to ask one of the passing waiters for a table so we could finally order our drinks. I asked if it was possible to exchange the tea for a fruit juice included in the set menu, but this was flatly refused, even though the fruit juice was listed as 50 cents cheaper than the iced tea I ordered. We arrived at 4 pm and from 5:30 pm onwards, we were interrupted three times to be cleared of our plates and asked to pay because they were closing at 6 pm. Taking payment seems fine to me, but removing the three-tiered tray that serves as the entire tea time display at 5:30 pm detracts from the experience, in my opinion. However, people on the street were very impressed by the tea time and smiled at us, so the experience was appealing, but the service's diplomacy needs improvement. The waitress apologized for having to take our payment, which was appreciated.

25/07/2026: A truly beautiful place, especially the terrace, which is absolutely charming. The staff stood out for their kindness; they made our visit very pleasant and never made us feel rushed to leave, even though we lingered quite a while. And finally, the pastries were delicious. I highly recommend the afternoon tea option, which offers the chance to sample almost the entire range of pastries and drinks at an unbeatable price. We will definitely be back!

12/05/2026: What can I say about the bakery server… Who doesn't say hello and keeps cleaning her floor for 5 minutes with a customer right in front of her, probably thinking it's up to the customer to make the first move… The customer is starting to think they're bothering her ;) then laughs as if we're being rude. Incidentally, it's no better than when she yells and gets angry in front of customers because her colleagues or supervisor are bad. Come on 🫠

26/07/2026: The restaurant was full of flies, the waiters didn't smell very good. The pizzas tasted like frozen ones from Auchan, much better.

24/07/2026: Excellent restaurant with great value for money. I read a few negative reviews but didn't let that deter me. We had dinner as a family at Chez Francky and we thoroughly enjoyed it (2 adults, 1 child, 1 teenager). The atmosphere was great, the staff super friendly, and the owner is welcoming, easygoing, and funny. The negative reviews were surely posted by disrespectful or perpetually dissatisfied people. We aren't always well received in restaurants with our children, even though they are well-behaved and respectful, but here they were very welcome. We had a wonderful dinner tonight: tartiflette, a hot pot, and perfectly cooked duck breast. The portions were generous. We will definitely return and recommend this restaurant to everyone we know. Everything was perfect. Thank you very much.

29/07/2026: Shooded us out when we tried going in, table still had food on and refused to clean it up for us and we sat and waited there for ages and no one came to clean it or take our order. A lady with blonde hair and cakey makeup flapped her hand at us as if we were a dog out of bounds

04/07/2026: This is no longer the restaurant we've frequented for the past 30 years. It was difficult to find anything tempting on the evening of June 30, 2026. The waiter recommended a tuna and salmon poke bowl: what we found was a plate of sticky, glutinous rice making up three-quarters of the bowl, cubes of candied bluefin tuna, a few slivers of carrot, red cabbage, and lettuce, all without any sauce, either inside or on the side. As for the pizza, it was tasteless, with a soggy crust. We had hoped that the excellent cakes from Marrou (served for dessert a year ago) would make up for it, but those good times are gone, and the choices now consist of various ice cream sundaes or the floating island dessert we opted for. "The whole shebang": a bowl of crème anglaise topped with perfectly uniform little cubes of meringue, straight from their industrial carton, and three small dollops of whipped cream for decoration, also straight from the can. The rosé from Provence somewhat redeemed our meal, but we won't be returning to Paulaner on Avenue du Prado/Castellane in Marseille anytime soon.

25/04/2026: Very disappointed!! It's nothing like I remember from a few years ago, when the food was excellent. Today, apart from the pizza (which we shared between two) which was good, here are our dishes: - The salmon dish (overcooked) with its overcooked rice, - As for the dish I ordered: "butcher's cut" (I'm still laughing about it), they brought me a spare rib and asked if it was a problem because they were out of spare ribs... served with overcooked fries. At the register, I asked to pay for the spare ribs and not the butcher's cut, and they told me: "But today the butcher's cut was spare ribs" (I had to explain to this young woman that a butcher's cut is beef, not pork!!!). Really disappointed!!

02/06/2026: I came yesterday (Monday) for a smoothie; it was perfect in this heat! The service, like the smoothie itself, was excellent. They gave me time to choose without any pressure, and there was a wide selection of ingredients (for both milkshakes and smoothies) and products, both hot and cold! It was served quickly in a large glass. I couldn't resist tasting it before taking the picture! Even though there weren't many customers, the atmosphere was still pleasant, and the decor was great. You can sit inside in armchairs or chairs, as well as on high stools, or sit outside or in the vestibule. I came back the next day (Tuesday) to try the crepes and milkshakes. The service was the same, they gave me time to choose, and while it was busier this time, the service was still just as fast! The crepe was delicious and generously smothered in Nutella. The plate was slightly damaged, probably due to wear and tear, which I didn't particularly like, but it didn't stop me from devouring my crepe! The milkshake was good; I had the banana and white chocolate version. Perhaps it was the combination that didn't quite work for me, but I preferred yesterday's smoothie! The music wasn't too loud, but it was perfect for working while enjoying a treat. There was also Wi-Fi available. I'll definitely be back! (Probably tomorrow!) :) I highly recommend it!

14/03/2026: Basic but not very expensive, however, you eat better at Chez Chartier. Very noisy. But the restaurant has been closed for several months and is now permanently closed because there's nothing left on the premises. No information has been released.
