15/07/2026: The manager needs to learn how to speak to his server; it's a disgrace. He has whitened teeth, but his smile is so fake, like something out of a toothpaste commercial. P.S. There's a difference between speaking with authority and talking to the server like a dog. As for taking care of yourself, try dressing differently. You look like you've just come back from hunting, which isn't exactly professional for a manager who's supposed to set an example. 👍👍... Avoid at all costs!

23/05/2026: Honestly, one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The bubble teas were so full of ice that there was hardly any tea left. As a result, they just tasted like cold water, completely tasteless. The tapioca pearls weren't good either. On top of that, the service was incredibly cold and unwelcoming; we felt like we were bothering them. Considering the price, it's really outrageous. I definitely don't recommend it.

18/05/2026: A very pleasant little break at Café Den. The staff were lovely and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their coffee. I highly recommend it!

29/06/2026: A very good restaurant and a quiet hotel right in the centre of La Ferté Gaucher.

27/07/2026: Excellent! Everything was very good, the dishes were cooked perfectly and I found them original. The most expensive items were between 25 and 40 euros, but the rest were around 25/30. The desserts were very nice, as were the starters. We were given good recommendations, and the waiter was very pleasant and friendly!

09/06/2026: "A quality establishment," as evidenced by numerous awards over the years, and it's clear that it's entirely deserved, with a very reasonable price for the three-course meal (starter, main, and dessert) at around €20. The quality of the ingredients, the flavors, and the friendly service are all part of the package. It's a real gem, an establishment that exudes the rigor and experience of true professionals, not to mention good humor and a welcoming atmosphere. Bravo!

07/06/2026: During a business trip, I noticed the brightly lit signs for this restaurant. From the main highway, my attention was caught, and I stopped to try the meat, drawn by the neon sign depicting a cow. I'm probably too used to it, but I've never seen such a wide selection of different cuts of beef, with different aging periods. I try a 500g steak with the family's signature sauce. Again, probably accustomed to a different way of cooking, I don't fully appreciate the flavor of the meat, probably because it's marinated in too much garlic, which overwhelms the flavor, and the meat is still difficult to cut and chew. The flavor is too strong for me, even though the meat is high-quality, but I have trouble chewing it. I also took the opportunity to try the fondue, with soft pieces of bread to dip in, a dish I enjoyed very much. A good glass of typical white wine to accompany everything. And to finish, a good espresso from a well-known Italian company, well-extracted and of high quality considering it's a single-origin blend. I'm not entirely satisfied with the value for money, but it's still considered a good restaurant.

30/06/2026: We spent almost our entire vacation coming to this cafe. Whether we were fueling up before heading to the beach or relaxing after, it was always the perfect choice. The food is incredibly tasty, and they serve it very quickly. 5 stars!

29/06/2026: Breakfast is served from 8:00 AM since the change of ownership.

26/05/2026: A passionate traveler, it was by chance that I stumbled upon the Lion d'Or. And of course, this place left its mark. Normally, I don't bother reviewing the places I stay because everything is so sterile, so similar, and original, unconventional places have little or no reason to exist... But seeing the reviews and ratings piqued my curiosity and led me to dig deeper and understand. The owner is one of those people who are bursting with energy, talkative, intelligent, with a strong and memorable personality. Ultimately, I'd say divisive. But what an evening spent dining with other travelers and the owner! A feast, hastily prepared by our ever-attentive host, peppered with shared experiences and humor. These kinds of moments are part of travel, and they leave such a lasting impression. So yes, it's far from the norm. But if everything becomes standardized, what place is left for such unique individuals? See you soon, my friend. PS: Practice your chess! ;)

11/01/2026: I had a wonderful evening for my birthday. The welcome was warm, the meal was perfect from start to finish, the atmosphere was cheerful and lively, the setting was relaxed and pleasant. I thank the entire team for this lovely experience and I highly recommend it.

15/05/2026: An excellent choice if you're looking for a good neighborhood brasserie. We always find something we love among the daily specials or salads, which we can enjoy on the terrace in the summer (pedestrian street). The food is efficient and the service is top-notch, with friendly owners and a lovely waitress! Highly recommended!

28/05/2026: The room's terrace was filthy, full of trash and debris, including a latex glove and pieces of metal (??). We were refused entry to the restaurant due to "laziness." The room was very uncomfortable. The hotel is very outdated and desperately needs renovations. The staff was unfriendly. The parking lot was cramped with few spaces. Breakfast was extremely basic. The pool was inaccessible. The room and terrace were soulless and lacked any decoration.

26/05/2026: The staff were very pleasant, the apartment was beautiful with all possible amenities, the pool and breakfast were excellent, I highly recommend it and thank you again to the team.

06/07/2026: Deciding to stop for lunch, the initial welcome was warm, but the wait for two salads was 30 minutes... We waited more than 10 minutes for the dessert menu after the waitress offered it to us, and we left without dessert... What a shame.

05/07/2026: Very disappointed and very expensive. It was shipped quickly; we barely had time to eat our aperitifs before the salads arrived. The appetizers were a quick trip back and forth, we didn't even have time to touch them. The €22.50 salad had three slices of trout for my friend, and three pieces of Morteau sausage. However, there was an enormous amount of lettuce to fill the plate. Oh yes, and a few fries that served as the appetizer!

27/07/2026: Eleven of us arrived around 2:10 pm after visiting the bamboo grove. Despite the restaurant having closed, we were welcomed and served with a smile. What's more, the food was delicious. I highly recommend it :-)

26/07/2026: The chef got the children's order wrong, then served them while forgetting the parents' (we waited over 20 minutes without any of the servers even noticing). At the end, we expected a small gesture of goodwill, since we hadn't ordered the syrups for the children and wanted to replace them with the juice one of them had ordered. Nothing. This is completely unacceptable. The food is good, admittedly. But it's not at all customer-focused. The concept of good service is that the customer is king. Not here. They barely offered a flimsy apology for the mistakes and the wait. It's a shame, it started off well.
