14/06/2026: Looking for a place to have lunch? Le Pélican is a restaurant I wasn't disappointed to visit. The set menu (starter and main course, main course and dessert, or all three) is a good compromise. It offers good value for money, and the service is very friendly.

19/03/2026: Don't expect the owner to buy you a drink. €200 for three people and not a single round paid for. The food is decent, the prices are reasonable, but there's absolutely no customer service. Thanks, goodbye.

06/07/2026: We were quite disappointed by the restaurant owner's behavior, who made some inappropriate remarks. The meal was disappointing, with a limited menu and some dishes missing... only one dessert option (ice cream)! There were no daily specials because, and I quote, "the chef didn't have any ideas that day..." And to top it all off, the aperitifs were overpriced!! We only realized this afterward!! We won't be back! And we won't recommend it!

03/03/2026: While traveling, I went to get some pastries, a Mauricette (a type of bread), and a sandwich, and everything was very good.

11/06/2026: Looking for my previous review, which I couldn't find, I wanted to point out that the photos don't accurately reflect the food on the plates. The quality of the ingredients was disappointing, and we were extremely let down. The ribeye steak was very thin but tasted like it came from uncleaned grills, and the cold mushroom sauce had a strange flavor. The dessert, supposedly a chocolate fondant-style molten chocolate cake, was inedible, and I'm still trying to find the fondant. The new owners have nothing to do with the previous establishment's quality; this is not a fine dining restaurant. It was very expensive for such poor quality. I should also mention that we were there on a Friday evening and were the only diners.

07/06/2026: We booked a dinner for our wedding at the end of May 2026 (30 adults and 10 children). Access is easy and there's free parking on site. We opted for two starters and two main courses, as well as children's menus. We were the only customers in the restaurant. They did their best to respect the schedule, but it was still a bit slow. I think having an extra waitress and an additional person in the kitchen would have been more sensible so that we could all receive our starters and main courses at the same time. As for the food, all the guests were quite satisfied. The shrimp puff pastry was a hit. Opinions were somewhat mixed regarding the salmon, as well as the chicken roulade stuffed with blue cheese. We had a special request for this meal, as one person couldn't eat with the rest of the guests, and everything went as planned. Overall, we were quite satisfied, but it's true that we ate at this restaurant several years ago, and it's definitely not the same as it used to be.

05/07/2026: Excellent Italian cuisine. The mixed salad was very fresh. The risotto was delicious and very generous. The new owner is very friendly and attentive to customers. The dining room has a warm and inviting atmosphere. We didn't suffer from the heat thanks to the large ceiling fans. We will be back very soon.

13/07/2026: Very disappointed with the welcome and service at this restaurant. The waitress was unpleasant and showed no motivation, especially when it came to finding a pitcher of water... and the owner seems completely unconcerned despite customer complaints. It's really strange, especially after two years.

14/07/2026: We were rather disappointed with our 3-night stay at the Château de Bricquebec. Our room wasn't cleaned once during our stay, even though we were in the Queen's Room. Upon arrival, the room was clean but not spotless (water droplets on the bathroom floor, cobwebs). The restaurant is very beautiful. We ate well enough. However, for a restaurant that seems to want to project a certain image of luxury, two or three peanuts or a small amuse-bouche with the aperitif would have been appreciated. Only two of the four starters on the menu were available... a fish soup or a cauliflower velouté... in the middle of July, that's not very appealing; a simple tomato and mozzarella salad would have sufficed. We also regretted the lack of a cheese course; after all, we're in Normandy! I would, however, like to mention the kindness and professionalism of the waiter, which wasn't easy for him under these circumstances. We expressed our disappointment upon departure, and there was another huge disappointment...not even a gesture of goodwill, we were even treated rather condescendingly. Just a little advice for the future...don't forget that it's the tourists (part of your clientele, I assume) who keep you afloat.

03/08/2026: A warm and welcoming place, a real gem we discovered during a stroll, with a wide selection of savory and sweet crepes, salads, pasta, tartiflette... there really is something for everyone. We'll definitely be back to try everything! Highly recommended

13/07/2026: Beautiful location with a magnificent view, but the food… The buffet, which we were reminded three times wasn't all-you-can-eat, consisted exclusively of canned goods with a very limited selection. There was no other option if you wanted a starter, and the main course wasn't much better, unfortunately. The service was adequate, but the gap between the location and the quality of the food is far too wide. A shame.

23/07/2026: We came for the 2026 World Cup semi-finals and were very disappointed, as there was no atmosphere; the restaurant was almost empty. My only five stars go to the service, as the staff were very friendly. The food wasn't necessarily bad, but the menu was quite simple and expensive for what you get. Unfortunately, there are better options nearby.

04/08/2026: I came in for a drink and was politely thanked, only to be told they couldn't serve me because the bar wasn't open, even though it was 6:30 PM. This place practices discrimination, and I will take the necessary steps to report you to the appropriate authorities. The manager is also unfriendly. Shame on you! 🔥 It's good that you have few customers; it's karma! 💯 France has become one of the worst countries in the world, and this establishment is a perfect example. 🔮

26/07/2026: We went on July 25th, 2026, for afternoon tea (crepes and ice cream). We received a very warm welcome; the place was clean, pleasant, and very cozy. The waiter was attentive, and the service was quick. I highly recommend this little place; the owner is also very friendly and welcoming.

19/11/2025: We went there on a Wednesday at lunchtime. We had a table on the terrace. It's a simple set menu, but homemade and very good. The place seems to be run by British people. A very warm welcome. The location is very pleasant, right in the center of the village with its white Dordogne stone houses. A great find! After several visits, the food is always just as good and hearty. You should also go for the British atmosphere on holidays and special events! Speaking English is a nice touch. We loved it!

14/07/2026: Great experience in a peaceful location. Trout fishing with all equipment provided. The couple running the place are truly super nice, kind and ready to help with everything. Lovely bar / restaurant on site too.
