20/10/2026: Aggressive Service — We Went Elsewhere I came for lunch with a friend on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at noon, and the experience was deplorable. Hasty and Unwelcoming: We were seated without a word, and the waitress immediately pounced on us to take our order without giving us the menu or time to choose. She left right away, and we called her back to at least order a drink. Aggressive Attitude: When we asked for a Virgin Mojito, she was very curt, claiming it wasn't "in season." When we simply asked what cocktails were currently available, since there are four seasons, her reaction was extremely unpleasant and dismissive. Failure to Respect Hygiene Rules: In the dining room and when serving bread, hair must be tied back to prevent it from ending up in customers' plates. Faced with such aggression and unprofessionalism, we preferred to leave and eat elsewhere. This establishment should be avoided. Easy response, dear Sylvain I understand that you are defending your staff But your response does not reflect our experience.

05/10/2026: Unprofessional. When you ask for breaded tuna, you want it unbreaded: sorry, it's pre-prepared! Fresh tuna? Then at 10 PM, when there are still four tables occupied, the servers turn off the music and start dimming the lights!!! That's a clear sign you should get lost! So, change careers, because your customers are the ones feeding you!

04/10/2026: On Saturday, October 3, 2026, my husband and I decided to have dinner at Café Marcel, as we had done quite often. But I must admit we were a little disappointed. At 7:15 pm, the waiter finished tucking his shirt into his pants. Moreover, he smelled of sweat! I gave the food 3 stars because my sugar crepe was good. But my salmon steak wasn't cooked enough for my liking, and the supposedly seasonal vegetable side dish consisted of nothing more than peas! In short, like other reviews have mentioned, the restaurant has changed a lot. I don't think I'll be going back.

06/10/2026: The staff's welcome is sometimes very good but could be improved at other times. The blonde waitress is clearly lacking in friendliness and coldness. The tables are very close together. Otherwise, the breakfast is excellent, the omelet is great too, and the bread is very good. The waiter remains very friendly. Very efficient service despite the crowd!

07/10/2026: A beautiful sunny day led us, after a hike, to stop for a drink in the late afternoon on the lawn overlooking the Vilaine River. We were greeted by a waiter who refused to let us put our table in the sun and then asked us to use the tables stored to the side, saying, "If there are more tables, there will be more customers." He then went on for several minutes to explain his work life: the long hours he'd worked the day before and, since April, his life at a ski resort where he had to add rows of deck chairs, which meant more work for him... We waited for ages before he took our order, and he criticized us for going to the bar to get a bottle of water. He belittled the apprentice. He made it very clear that whipped cream was an extra charge on the waffle. He clearly didn't want more customers, refused to sell us anything, complained about his working conditions... He was very cold in his replies, always saying "No!" The waiter's attitude was unbelievable and unprofessional. The servers seem disorganized. They don't know which tables are waiting to be served, and they wander around with trays full of drinks, ice cream, and waffles in the blazing sun... When you mention to the owner how unfriendly your server is, he expresses surprise... He must not read the reviews... It's a shame because I've been to the crêperie several times (same owners) and I've always been satisfied...

30/09/2026: We chose to hold our wedding reception at Marin'Boël because we were familiar with the venue, the setting, and the cuisine. However, dining there as a couple or with 45 guests requires very different planning... We were delighted with our day, to which Cédric greatly contributed by being available, helpful, and attentive to our needs. Everything went wonderfully, and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the meal. So yes, we hope to only get married once, but we'll definitely be back very soon!

10/10/2026: Aside from the slightly unpleasant smell in the restrooms, the restaurant has a warm atmosphere. The waiter is very welcoming and, above all, always smiling. The menu offers excellent value for money and the food is top-notch. I highly recommend it!

12/09/2026: We came for lunch on September 12th but it was full, so we came back in the evening and honestly, we have no regrets! The morel burger was amazing with the homemade fries, it was perfect, and the cocktails were great, especially the coconut one, and the crème caramel was fantastic. A big plus for the super friendly and really funny waiter. We highly recommend it, we had a great evening!

11/10/2026: The Café Central became our favorite cafe during September '26 when we rented an apartment nearby. We went here almost every morning for coffee, croissants, and fresh squeezed orange juice and we also enjoyed many meals here that were consistently excellent. The servers were all great,( special shout out to Regis!) and the managers always made us feel welcome. My favorite dish on the menu is the duck confit. They have an excellent happy hour, it's a great place to have a pint of Grimbergen and watch the people (and dogs!) go by on the Rue Cler.

11/10/2026: Great location but the staff will try to scam you if you're foreign. They came to me today, called out 101 euros and when I requested the bill, it was 83.50. Could be great, ended up to be a 1 star. Stay away

20/09/2026: I was very disappointed with my visit to the shop. Besides the prices—they're expensive for direct sales—the produce wasn't ripe: the tomatoes were unripe, and the same was true for the plums. The prices were exorbitant: escarole: €2.50, mirabelle plums: €5... There were only a few customers on this Saturday afternoon. Could someone explain what justifies these prices for direct sales? Can't they harvest ripe fruit at these prices? Thank you to Ferme Maurer for your response.

18/08/2026: On Tuesday, August 18th, we were delighted that the person folded their arms and closed the door in front of us at 6:59 PM, admittedly, but still. We should note the kindness of this shopkeeper.

10/09/2026: Passing through Abries for some hiking, I took advantage of this restaurant which offers a wide selection. I had a pizza which was very good. The service was impeccable. The prices are very reasonable.

25/08/2026: Excellent, high-quality food. We had the homemade pizzas; delicious! The desserts were amazing too. I highly recommend it.

23/10/2026: In a small square, a very pleasant place to sit and observe the comings and goings of the world!

18/10/2026: The prices of the cocktails and drinks ordered are completely made up. They don't match the menu. It's like they're charging based on how much you look at them. I don't recommend this bar because of this serious lack of professionalism!

27/08/2026: A visit to this establishment was more than disappointing. We arrived for lunch at 1 p.m. The bar service was very good, no complaints, the waitress was excellent. We moved on to the meal, and out of three courses, only one was available: the "royal salad." It was anything but royal: six lettuce leaves, three pieces of bacon, and two tiny bits of gizzard for €14.50. Then we wanted to order a cheese plate listed on the menu, but they were out of that too. There was no portion size adjustment for children (ours was four years old). In short, we do not recommend it.

09/08/2026: I've been walking past this place for years and had never actually stopped in for dinner. I went for the first time, and both the appetizers and main courses were flawless! The service is fantastic, the waiters are incredibly friendly, and the welcome was very warm. I'll definitely be back!!!

05/08/2026: Unpretentious neighbourhood restaurant frequented by locals rather than tourists. Attentive service, food was good and nicely presented. Decent cocktails and wines.

23/08/2026: For salads in Narbonne, there's not much choice. Nîmes is excellent for lunch and has a good selection; it all depends on the restaurant where you eat.
