08/03/2026: How can anyone understand having to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes for their order? Why allow more customers in when the wait is already so long? The owner's response: I'm just trying to increase the number of customers to compensate for the slower days, at the expense of service... No comment.

04/02/2026: Excellent meat cooked over a wood fire and homemade fries. All accompanied by a nice glass of wine, it was perfect 👍

21/07/2026: We recently stopped by Carette and opted to sit outside on the terrace. It was definitely the right decision, the setting makes for a much more appealing backdrop for photos and offers fantastic people-watching. ​As for the order, the famous hot chocolate with whipped cream did not disappoint; it was thick, decadent, and extremely rich in flavor. We also tried the Saint-Honoré dessert, which was truly delicious with its perfect balance of pastry and cream. It’s a bit of an indulgence, but every single bite was worth it!

28/06/2026: First, we arrived and received a very warm welcome. However, the problems started at dinnertime. We waited easily an hour before being served. The dishes weren't served at the same time and were bland. Furthermore, we paid €1 for mayonnaise and ketchup, which we received 30 minutes later, by which time the fries had already run out. We are extremely disappointed with this restaurant. This will be our first and last time.

10/05/2026: I love the interior design, it's very unique. The mussels are delicious. I recommend it.

24/07/2026: I didn't eat there, but I stopped by at lunchtime to ask if I could buy a baguette, as all the bakeries nearby had been completely sold out (I had planned to make sandwiches for the boys, but of course, I didn't have any bread!). I received a very warm welcome, and the owner, very generously, gave me a few slices of delicious country bread! So, when you're that kind to a stranger, I imagine that when you're a customer, you're well received and the food is good too. Thank you, madam.

23/07/2026: The setting is indeed very pretty and the location is pleasant, but unfortunately, this isn't enough to compensate for a very disappointing service experience. The service was catastrophic from start to finish: our drinks arrived sporadically (only 2 out of 4 glasses were served), starting with the men rather than the women, which is quite rude. The aperitif glasses were never cleared before the starters were served, and the wait between courses was interminable. The most disappointing aspect was the dessert: after a 45-minute wait, the French toast arrived with a strong taste of dish soap. We pointed this out immediately, but instead of taking our comment seriously, we were told that they had tasted the caramel and that the problem couldn't have come from their kitchen, implying that our experience wasn't credible. This reaction, tinged with bad faith, was as disappointing as the rest of the service. What a shame, because the setting is a real asset. However, the service, the waiting times and the way our comment was received do not make us want to come back.

08/06/2026: We came for takeaway sandwiches and a coffee and croissant, and we're so glad we did! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, it's a real pleasure. Thanks to the team, we'll be back! :)

18/06/2026: Location is great. We only had a after dinner drink in the patio and service was slow. Room really nice but a little small. Receptionist very kind suggested restaurants around. Because of the narrow streets in the old town, we ended up scraping all the rims on our sports car. However, when we left, the parking attendant was extremely kind and helped guide us out of the old town.

12/06/2026: La Mirande is a gorgeous hotel with a perfect location in Avignon. When I first arrived I was given a room that was so incredibly beautiful it felt like the room of a queen. Unfortunately, there was a plumbing issue underneath my bathroom that precipitated me needing to be moved to another room. While the staff was incredibly courteous and attentive to me during this issue, the updated room I was moved to was much darker and had a musty smell - not quite as on par with the original room. Nevertheless, I would strongly recommend the hotel. I had several lovely meals out on the garden terrace admiring the flowers and the view of the Pope's Palace. And I really cannot emphasize enough how excellent the staff were at every moment of my visit.

13/05/2026: I ordered a decaf coffee, but it turned out to be just leftover coffee, for which I paid €2.70. The person serving seemed a bit confused. It's a shame, as I often go there for coffee.

04/05/2026: Great disappointment after tasting chocolate waffles, which did not seem to have been homemade, very dry with no softness.

24/04/2026: Endless wait, and undercooked food. A shame, because the place is nice. They need to make a little more effort.
