I always go back whenever I'm in the neighborhood, and until today, I always found the same warm atmosphere. Today, I sat next to a man who was probably in a Zoom meeting. In any case, he was at his computer with headphones on. He was speaking loudly, and I told him so. And then I was met with direct disdain from the waiter and the owners. I'd already felt that same exasperation when I asked him to move so I could plug in my laptop. So I left. A very unpleasant experience. However, I must be honest, even though I didn't have lunch there today, I've always found the food excellent. French dishes, just the way we like them.

04/07/2026: I understand that businesses need to make a profit, but when you order a Mexican panini and replace the chorizo ​​(due to an allergy) with merguez sausage, they charge you an extra €3.50. Honestly, I've never seen anything like it. And when you point it out, they tell you, "That's just how it is, it's an extra charge, and you choose to change it." I simply substituted one of the ingredients, and yes, I chose my allergy, and at that price, they really need to improve the quality of the merguez. Be careful with your wallet if you change the filling. A panini at €13.50? You might as well go eat at Buffalo Grill right next door.

11/10/2026: Visited Le Matisse during our stay at Le Touquet as part of a celebration for my Mum’s 70th birthday. The restaurant is clean and welcoming with beautiful decor, the service was personable - warm and friendly - and the food was absolutely delicious! They even played “Happy Birthday” and surprised us with candles on our desserts! The food was so good we will be returning again before our visit is finished!
