11/07/2026: Great place! We had a small dog with us, and the staff were very kind to him (offering a bowl of fresh water without us even asking, and helpful tips on where to cool him down). The €19 set menu was delicious and filling. The staff were extremely friendly. I highly recommend it!

01/08/2026: Very traditional restaurant. Beautiful dining room, courteous and knowledgeable service. Wide choice of dishes, with many Alsatian classics. The sauerkraut prepared at the table is fantastic. The wine list is very extensive and very reasonably priced. Also includes many older vintages from Alsace, among others, at competitive prices. In short, highly recommended if you are staying in Alsace.
29/07/2026: Decent but that's it. My steak was beyond medium rare, the tournedos of my partner was better. Only fries (frozen from the local supermarket) and some lettuce with my steak. 4 stars because the tournedos saved them.

30/09/2026: A fantastic discovery in the Chartreuse region! Every dish, from appetizer to dessert, was delicious and perfectly prepared. The welcome was warm, the staff attentive, and the decor particularly pleasant. A place not to be missed. I highly recommend it!

18/09/2026: One star because I can't give zero. Avoid at all costs! A member of the management "family" was extremely aggressive and told us she was going to "smash our faces in" after we asked her to pick up her cigarette butt. She and her friend kept coming back, insulting us until we finally left. She demanded the waiter sweep up her cigarette butt, yelling that she was paying for it. He himself admitted it was extremely degrading. In short, avoid this place; the beer isn't even good.
18/09/2026: A very pleasant evening at Carolus; the cocktails were excellent, as were the fries. Special mention to Morgane who provided exceptional service.

30/08/2026: I wanted to introduce my daughter to croziflette...they used Gruyère instead of Reblochon...I was so disappointed and felt ripped off because it clearly said Reblochon on the menu...so it had no taste at all and was expensive for a few crozets and melted Gruyère...

The menu is varied and very tempting, the portions are generous, and it's delicious! But wow!...
The service is excellent, and the terrace is quiet and well-protected.
In short, we'll be back and are delighted to have this type of restaurant in our city! Well done!

04/08/2026: While on vacation we stayed in Vieux-Port, there are not many restaurants closeby and I surely didn't expect high quality. But the reviews do not lie. The food was very good and the atmosphere + service were up to standard too.
There is only the menu of the day, which is 4 courses. Absolutely worth the money.
01/08/2026: A true culinary artist, a rare breed these days. Simple, with a set menu, but exceptionally well-prepared. Top-notch, efficient, and stress-free service... they've got real skill. Thank you for your excellent cuisine.

The hake was very good, and the squid in ink was a real treat...
The gourmet coffee and Basque cake were the perfect ending to this delightful meal...
The owner is fantastic, and the servers are pleasant and efficient.

I ordered one dish and received a different one. I didn't say anything to avoid a fuss, but the price was a bit high for the portion size.

As for the food, everything is homemade, and you can taste it from the first bite: it was simply delicious, offering the chance to savor authentic specialties prepared and served with great generosity. A wonderful place that I wholeheartedly recommend for a truly gourmet experience.
