09/03/2026: First I’d like to step here that I’m used to eat in the best restaurants all over the world and I’ve been collecting good food memories, this, is what I expected when I booked a night dinner at this shameful place. My visit to Le CasseNoix in Paris was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences of my life. From the moment we stepped through the door, everything that could go wrong, did. Let’s start with the service. We were greeted by a waiter who seemed more interested in ignoring us than in offering any kind of hospitality. His rude demeanor set the tone for the evening, and when we requested a simple change of glass because the one given to us was filthy, he had the audacity to roll his eyes at us. It was as if we had committed some unforgivable offense by asking for basic hygiene standards. As for the food — it was an absolute letdown. The dishes were bland and uninspired, lacking the flavors and creativity one expects from a restaurant in the heart of Paris. Each bite felt like a chore, as the food failed to engage any of the senses. It didn’t just disappoint — it was forgettable, which is perhaps the worst sin a restaurant can commit. But the worst part? The 40-euro "reservation fee" per person. When we made the booking, nowhere was it clearly mentioned that this would be added on top of the bill. It wasn’t until we received the check that we discovered this hidden charge, which was not deducted from the final price as we had expected. It felt like a trap — a fee with no clear warning, designed to take advantage of unsuspecting diners. All of this left me with a profound sense of frustration and regret. Le Casse Noix was a complete waste of time and money, and I would strongly advise anyone visiting Paris to avoid this place at all costs. It’s rare that a dining experience leaves you feeling genuinely insulted, but Le CasseNoix managed to do just that. Save your time and your euros — Paris has far better options than this.

14/02/2026: Excellent restaurant. Very rustic, just the way we like it. The service is perfect and the wait time is ideal. It's not our first time here and we've never been disappointed. Furthermore, the waitresses are incredibly kind and the welcome is so warm. We will come back again and again and we recommend it 10,000%! The tip is well deserved 👍🏼 Kudos to the chefs as well 🫶🏼 and thank you for your good cheer 🫶🏼

24/02/2026: The waiter was very kind, however, it's fortunate there's an ATM across the street. Unless I'm mistaken, there's no sign indicating a €10 minimum spend per card, which is required by law. A shame.

21/02/2026: I called for information but unfortunately dialed the wrong establishment. I was brushed off, told I spoke Chinese, and then they hung up on me. Completely unpleasant. I've never been to this restaurant, but given the level of service they must provide, I won't be going!

23/08/2025: We had a great evening at Chez Marie. The food was excellent (special mentions for the burgers and homemade fries) and the waitress was really very pleasant. The rustic mountain setting was very friendly with little nooks so you don't eat on top of each other!! We highly recommend this charming little place 🫕⛰️

05/01/2026: A typical Basque restaurant with a pleasant setting and stone walls. The staff is very friendly. They serve Basque food; I particularly enjoyed the blood sausage and the pig's trotters—everything was delicious. I love eating local food, and the village is very charming. My only complaint was the apple wine; it's unusual, but you have to try everything to form your own opinion.

13/12/2025: We were delighted to have lunch at a cider house. However, what a disappointment when the staff informed us that the word "cider house" was still displayed on the establishment's sign, but they hadn't been offering the typical cider house menu for several months. The baby squid were undercooked and rubbery, and the one I tasted from my friend's dish had a muddy taste. I asked if the Basque cake was homemade, and they said yes. However, just by looking at the slice on the plate, it was clear we'd been misled! It had been microwaved and topped with caramel. We were very disappointed, especially since it had seemed so promising! The chef is friendly.

26/02/2026: We loved our evening at the cabin: - The snowcat ride was fantastic - The room was spacious and comfortable with tables spaced far enough apart to enjoy a family meal - The food was excellent: the fondue was superb, as were the desserts, and there was a great children's menu too - The service was very professional and friendly
