04/10/2026: It was a wonderful evening with fantastic food. The 7-hour braised lamb in thyme sauce was divine, and so was the chocolate cake with a molten center and strawberry filling. We'll definitely be back! Thank you. :-)

28/09/2026: We made a last-minute reservation on Sunday evening and were lucky enough to get a table. The dining area was warmly decorated, and the staff were very friendly. We ordered two set meals, and the dining experience was excellent and the food was incredibly delicious! The appetizer was perfectly cooked fish, served over a bed of fluffy spinach and an egg, accompanied by a rich cream sauce and olive oil. The main courses were confit lamb and steak. The steak portion was a little small, but the accompanying sauce and fries were very tasty. The confit lamb was a bit dry; perhaps I was expecting a more tender stewed lamb. For dessert, we had chocolate lava cake with ice cream and goat cheese drizzled with olive oil. The French bread was refillable, and the owner immediately replenished a new tub each time we finished. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend it.

27/08/2026: In the heart of the Aveyron region, near the lakes of Lévézou and Pont de Salars, this small hotel has everything going for it, but we only tried the food, and it was flawless. The restaurant was normally closed that late August evening, but since there were six of us, the lovely owner kindly agreed to welcome us. Whether it was the puff pastry with snails in garlic cream, the salad with duck breast and stuffed neck, the Roquefort and walnut parfait, or the vegetable spaghetti with mussels and chives as a starter, or the lamb sweetbreads, Aubrac trout fillets with beurre blanc, veal steaks with porcini mushroom sauce, stuffed potatoes and baby vegetables, the duck confit, the grilled duck breast, or the chicken in sauce with small pasta shells for the children's menu, everything was perfect. This was followed by a cheese plate with three cheeses, then chocolate profiteroles with peach soup and a crispy topping, or perhaps apricot tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream… a succession of refined, delicious, and generous dishes that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We can't thank Virginie enough for welcoming us on this closing night, and the best way to show our appreciation is to return and sing the praises of this excellent restaurant. The service provided by her son was also top-notch and very friendly. Thank you to him as well. In short, we highly recommend it. If you're in the area, come and enjoy the delicious cuisine at Le Gardy; you'll have a truly enchanting experience!

23/04/2026: Overall impression: good location. But: You come here (among other things) to sleep. So what do you need? Bedding! It’s not fair that you have to pay extra for it (that information is buried deep in the Booking.com listing). It’s nice to arrive tired and be able to crawl straight into bed, instead of having to make up four beds. Moreover, the sheets are too narrow, so you still wake up next to your sheets on the mattress itself the next morning. Furthermore, the rooms need some maintenance: the shutters don’t close properly, there are no towel hooks in the bathroom, and the outlets are hard to reach and few in number. So, here are some tips to make your stay even more enjoyable. A big plus: the breakfast was delicious and very complete, served by a team of lovely family members!

25/09/2026: Another excellent evening at La Belle Époque! We were already familiar with the place, but once again, we weren't disappointed. It's truly a charming spot, with a lovely view of the Palais Beaumont and a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. And above all, the staff are incredibly attentive. Each time, we receive a very warm welcome, with lots of thoughtful touches that are truly appreciated. When it got chilly, they offered to let us in if we were cold, and as it was starting to get dark on the terrace, they even brought us a small lamp so we could continue enjoying our evening outside. And what can we say about the menus? Always delicious and well-crafted. The cuisine perfectly complements the pleasant setting and warm welcome. It's exactly these kinds of thoughtful touches that make you want to come back. We highly recommend this place. We'll be back with great pleasure!

01/09/2026: A small restaurant located on one of the side streets of the town of Riquewhir, with a limited but very traditional and extremely good selection of dishes; you can tell everything is freshly prepared. The staff are friendly, speak English, and are eager to explain the ingredients of the dishes with a smile and passion. Even when we made our reservation by phone, we were greeted by a friendly young woman with good English. The alcoholic beverages were nothing short of praise; we drank two excellent beers and two glasses of local wine (Alsace), the name of which I regret not remembering because I would have bought a bottle available in the village. I highly recommend this place, especially for families, who are very welcome.
