I rarely rave, only when it's truly deserved. Add to that impeccable service and a magical setting. In short, top-notch gastronomy. Go without hesitation. Can't wait to go back.

15/09/2026: The food, service, and ambiance are exceptional. Inside dining has a beautiful view of the old town and fort. It begins with a crisp dotted with nuts and grains served with a tasty bean purée with a delicate pepper oil. The local bread is perfect pairing for the cuisine. A must try (when on the menu) is the in house foie gras. The octopus appetizer is exceptionally tender and tasty. And the braised pork belly is perfectly seasoned and is served with a savory caramelized au jus. The chef takes local ingredients to new heights, perfectly prepared and seasoned, especially the unique use of a variety of spices. And the service is amazing too. The Maître D, fluent in several languages, ensures that all is to your liking, even suggesting a special wine pairing that was not yet on the wine list. We were completely satisfied. And plan to return many more times.

17/09/2026: First visit to Le Dauphin and certainly not the last! We loved everything, from the food to the service. You immediately feel like you're in a La Ferté-Bernard institution, a place that puts a lot of heart into its dishes. We opted for the daily menu, with two set menus that can be combined as you please: a wonderful freedom, and the plates were refined, generous, and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and friendly from start to finish. And the owner is part of the menu: her warm welcome alone is worth the trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. 27/09/2026: We were there on a Saturday evening. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our table. The waiters were all very polite and spoke good English. They explained the wine concept to us. There are 110 wines available by the glass in four different price categories. Four suitable wines are listed next to each dish. A very interesting concept. For an aperitif, however, we opted for a beer from a Parisian brewery. For our starters, we ordered the pâté en croûte and the crab salad. What struck me was that, at this point, the waiters were still setting the pace. That is, they waited until the beer was ready before bringing us the wines to accompany our starters. For the starters, we chose a mid-priced wine from the second category. Even then, you can choose between 7cl and 15cl. Both starters were very good. However, the value for money varied considerably. While the crab salad was reasonably priced, the pâté en croûte was a bit of a letdown. A slice about 1 cm thick—though kudos to the kitchen for slicing such a thin slice so beautifully—was rather meager. Usually, it's cut a bit thicker to preserve the full mouthfeel of the different textures. However, the taste was excellent. For our main course, we both ordered the beef fillet. It came with French fries. Here, it was already apparent that the timing was being rushed by the kitchen. The food arrived almost before we'd even finished our first glass of wine. A shame. The meat was perfectly seared and cooked to perfection. However, the French fries weren't very good. Soggy, limp, and not crispy. They were almost reminiscent of fries from the big chain with the M. Definitely not good enough for 42 euros. We had ordered the second most expensive wine to accompany our meal. Another 15 cl. Meanwhile, a larger group arrived at the next table. From then on, the noise became unpleasant, both towards us and because the service was too easily absorbed by the other table. We changed tables because the noise level was almost unbearable. At the new table, we ordered cheese and the Grand Marnier soufflé. Again, the price-performance ratio was somewhat different. The soufflé was excellent. The cheese, however, cost €18 for three pieces... We also ordered wines for dessert, again from the second most expensive category. The wine concept is very interesting, but it has one major flaw: the glasses! Every wine is served in the same glasses—simple brasserie wine glasses, the kind you'd use for €5 wines. This might be sufficient for the lowest-priced wines, but not for the higher-priced ones. The body and aromas can't develop, and even a great red wine costing over €30 tastes flat and simple in the glass. You can easily save yourself the extra cost for a higher category. Even a professional would struggle to judge and enjoy the wine in these glasses. Then came the bill. This once again demonstrated that the price-performance ratio isn't quite right. Granted, we each ordered the larger portion of wine (never from the most expensive category), but the bill was still a surprise. 440 euros for two people, three courses each, including drinks. That's quite something. A bottle of water for 12 euros, a double espresso for 10 euros... This is definitely overpriced dining. I'm not used to such prices, not even in Zurich, Geneva, or NYC. My obligatory final question: would I come back? Probably not. The food was good, but not outstanding. The wines are served in the wrong glasses, and the price-performance ratio isn't right. You're better off going to a Michelin-starred restaurant; the price is the same, but at least the service is there.

12/10/2026: A fantastic discovery! The dishes were simply incredible, delicious, and incredibly varied, bursting with flavor! It's a real bonus to be able to enjoy a halal restaurant with such flavorful cuisine. The staff was also very friendly, smiling, and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Special mention goes to the two large karaoke rooms, which add a unique touch and allow you to have a great time with friends or family! All this in a truly excellent location. I highly recommend 831 Uyghurs and I will definitely be back! Thank you again for this wonderful experience!! 😍✨

11/10/2026: I've been eating here for several years, both in-store and ordering takeout since the pandemic. But I've noticed the portions are getting smaller and smaller. The noodles in the big plate chicken have become very little. We thought ordering steamed buns might help, but they weren't. The steamed buns with the big plate chicken were served on a square plate. The chicken was pitifully little and barely flavorful. The overall taste is good, meaning the seasoning is consistently delicious, but the restaurant no longer focuses on the ingredients and portion sizes. The chicken wasn't flavorful, and the medium portion was almost the same size as the small portion. Yet, the price is expensive. If you continue like this, you will lose loyal customers. Of course, we hope you can stay in business for a long time, but it's becoming increasingly disappointing.
