13/09/2026: We received a very warm welcome, even though we hadn't made a reservation. The service was a little slow. The food was good overall, although the meat was unfortunately cooked a bit too well. Despite this, we had a pleasant time and enjoyed everything. A good experience overall!

08/06/2026: The hotel has well-appointed rooms with comfortable beds, as well as a pleasant little pool for relaxing. The staff is friendly. The only downside is that the curtains aren't blackout enough for our liking. We requested a room facing the hotel entrance because the sun rises on the other side and we could hear a lot of road noise (the windows could be improved), and our request was accepted by the friendly receptionist.

14/09/2026: We had the pleasure of having lunch there and honestly, nothing to complain about. The very pleasant waitress cut my meat for me because I broke my wrist. The meat was fresh and great.

09/09/2026: This afternoon, I arrived there on my road bike with my friend. At that point, the terrace was only half full. We signaled several times to order coffee and a drink. Meanwhile, the waiters (the managers?) were chatting casually with the other customers. Unfortunately, our request to be served went unanswered, and we were forced to leave after 10 minutes without having ordered anything.

09/09/2026: A very warm welcome, an amuse-bouche offered with the aperitif—it was a perfect prelude to the rest of the meal, it was so delicious. Indeed, the fish duo I ordered, as well as the mango-raspberry soufflé, were excellent. I don't usually use sauce, but this time I had to because the sauce was divine. Kudos to Corinne and Philippe, everything was perfect.

10/09/2026: We arrived around 2 pm and were greeted as if it were noon. Even with two dogs, we were still welcome inside, but we decided to sit on the terrace. The set menu, consisting of a starter, main course, and dessert, was absolutely delicious, not only in terms of taste and freshness but also in generous portions. The service provided by the owner was warm and very friendly; you can tell he loves his job! Thank you for this wonderful experience! It's a simple, unpretentious restaurant, but the atmosphere is pleasant and the food is excellent!

23/08/2026: 🥩 A superb spot for meat lovers We booked a table for 11 at L’Authentique in Tarbes to celebrate a birthday, and we had a fantastic evening! 🎂🥳 I ordered the royal ribeye steak, and honestly… it was amazing! 🥩🔥 The meat was excellent, perfectly cooked, and incredibly flavorful. Everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed it, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. A great place to eat in Tarbes, especially for meat lovers! We will definitely be back. Well done to the whole team at L’Authentique! 👌😋

11/09/2026: Loved this place, great food, a bit pricey but still affordable for the quality. Doesn't look nice from the outside, looks like a normal bar or brasserie, but it's a nice surprise when you get in and the design is well done. You can see into the kitchen and the restroom are so nice and clean, provided with small towel. Reconnend this place.

12/09/2026: I noticed that there were hardly any recent reviews. I ate here yesterday. Reserving by phone was not possible. I walked over and made a reservation in person (the staff were sitting outside). The bistro is located in a beautiful building; you can sit inside or outside. The waiter came over to us immediately to ask what we wanted to drink. For me, that always depends on what I'm going to eat, so I like to think about that for a moment. We had also been given the menu, and immediately afterwards, it was placed on our (small) table in English. After a very short time, the waiter came to ask if we had already chosen... I said in broken French that I needed a little more time. After a minute, he came to take our order anyway. I felt quite rushed; I felt like we weren't given the time to decide calmly. What also struck me was the attitude of the (I think) owner of the bistro. She bumped into my chair twice without apologizing. She also remained standing in the doorway, so a waitress, with plates in her hand, had to carefully squeeze around her. She managed that just fine, by the way! All in all, a somewhat strange situation in my view. My partner had a delicious meal; I found the food mediocre (the salmon was not medium, but completely overcooked and on the dry side).

08/09/2026: Recommended by the Routard guide (my bible!). What can I say except that we loved everything: delicious foie gras, a very flavorful pork knuckle, and a tarte tatin that made us want to come back for more! The waiter was very friendly. Thank you for the trou normand!

20/09/2026: Excellent welcome, lovely shaded terrace, impeccable and friendly service. The interior dining room is also very pleasant. Simple cuisine with fresh, seasonal ingredients, and it's delicious. Beautifully presented dishes. A truly wonderful place.
