Chez Luccio
Meximieux
24/05/2026: This restaurant isn't just a good meal… it's a true experience. The food is incredible; each dish is a little culinary journey. You can immediately tell it's made with love and talent 👨🍳✨
The staff are absolutely top-notch: smiling, cool, attentive—you feel like a VIP without even asking 😄
And the owner… a masterclass. Present, kind, and clearly he has a fantastic team 🏆
In short, if you're still hesitating: stop everything and go for it. But don't tell too many people, I'd still like to have some space myself 😏🍽️
08/05/2026: We had a good dinner here. Reasonable price, good portion of food, and tasty 😋🥰

L'Auberge du Chateau
Rahon
14/04/2026: A delightful surprise! This restaurant, ideally located at the foot of the magnificent Belvoir Castle, offered refined local cuisine, friendly owners, and efficient service, especially considering I was the only one there on a busy Sunday! Don't hesitate to stop by for a pleasant meal while exploring the region.
12/04/2026: This inn, situated in a setting where modern wind turbines stand alongside the past with its Belvoir castle, is highly recommended for several reasons: disabled access and adapted restrooms, and a refined dining room. You are warmly welcomed by a charming and very friendly owner. Naturally, the dishes offered and their flavors perfectly complement all these positive aspects. The prices are reasonable, and we will be back... thank you to this inn!

Le Bistrot Parisien
Le Havre
15/06/2026: A must-try in Le Havre, and certainly one of the best restaurants in the city. Their lamb shank is excellent. However, I find it a shame that the lamb comes from New Zealand. With such a reputation, it would be preferable to prioritize French farms. Aside from that, it's a very good restaurant.
10/06/2026: During our wanderings, we had lunch at this brasserie, clearly a local favorite as it was full. Good bistro fare served by attentive staff. Perfect for its category!

Escalandes
Lesperon
30/05/2026: Our night and dinner at the hotel restaurant were perfect. The foie gras was simply superb.
I highly recommend it.
03/05/2026: As pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago, we had a truly wonderful time at L’Escalandes.
The welcome was warm and the meal excellent. Marina is a lovely person, full of kindness.
We had a problem with blisters, and she did everything she could to help us.
We are from Pas-de-Calais and hope to have the opportunity to return.
A big thank you!

Brasserie du Palais

18/05/2026: We had a wonderful time and were very touched by the warm welcome! An impromptu stop at Josephine's Palace that we will remember!
08/05/2026: We went to Josephine's Palace somewhat by chance. And what a happy accident! We had a wonderful meal: delicious, generous portions, and homemade! A real treat!

La Cigale
La Croix-Valmer
11/06/2026: Discovered this cocktail bar, drawn in by its selection of gins... the menu boasted original creations. In reality, they were more like mocktails sold at cocktail prices. They had absolutely no effect on me, and I'm normally very sensitive to strong drinks. The same was true for my friend. We paid and left disappointed! To be fair, the service was efficient and pleasant... but that doesn't make up for the weak cocktails, especially considering the price.
21/05/2026: A wide selection of cocktails (for €12-13) and gin, all in an intimate atmosphere. Everything is carefully considered: the menu as well as the decor. A small terrace on the cobblestones of Old Lyon adds to the charm of the place. La Cigale is a wonderful spot for a drink!

Les Grands Buffets
Narbonne, 20-30€
04/06/2026: Very nice atmosphere and good food, especially the selection! Unfortunately, it's very crowded and you sometimes have to squeeze through to get to your meal, but it's definitely recommended as a day trip destination despite the high price. The water, on the other hand, is very cheap at just under €2 a bottle.
04/06/2026: The restaurant entrance is very ugly; it feels like walking into a warehouse. Once inside, however, it's very nice, the welcome was very warm, and we were comfortably seated.
The food was very average for the price. The lobsters were overcooked, the ribeye steak was inedible, and it was truly awful. Nothing extraordinary about the dishes, and the so-called "wine at cost price" is still a mystery to me. An experience I won't repeat. 160 euros for two people... A lot of exaggerated advertising, an exorbitant price.

Auberge du Noordmeulen
Steenvoorde
31/05/2026: Excellent service, a complete and generous menu.
You won't be disappointed by your visit.
29/05/2026: What a disappointment!
This inn had been highly recommended to us. The decor was excellent, with a rather successful attempt at authenticity. The welcome was also fine. But the food was another story.
Upon entering, there was no smell of cooking, which usually means it was reheated.
Indeed, that's what we noticed, especially with the endive pie (the texture of the pastry). The main course (pork with Maroilles cheese) wasn't bad, but nothing special. The "shavings" of cheese with half a lettuce leaf: not very local. Not liking rhubarb, I asked if it was possible to have a substitute dessert.
The answer: sorry, we don't have anything! So, no dessert. Not even a scoop of ice cream! Very rare in restaurants.
In conclusion, this inn is living on its reputation, but at this rate, it won't last forever!

Les Allumes des Monts D'or

02/05/2026: Thank you for the delicious meal.
The service was very pleasant, and the food was delicious!
Please consider spreading the word, as we live in Bois Dieu and were unaware of your restaurant.
We will definitely be back!
21/04/2026: We stopped at this restaurant on a whim, and our waitress Lola provided excellent service; she was very professional and friendly. We ate inside and enjoyed the restaurant. The restrooms were spotless. We had a puff pastry appetizer and a pizza, and everything was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

La Grande Crèmerie
Monnaie, Paris
18/06/2026: Budget menu to suit all, great friendly staff
06/06/2026: A few measly ravioli on the plate for €17, €21 for the steak tartare, very good, but not served with fries... "Chocolate tart" at €15, a small biscuit with chocolate and two raspberries, but they're "organic eggs," so it's okay 🤣. The service is very pushy, really pushing you to order more. It's fine for drinking expensive wine in a nice atmosphere, but the food is poor value for money.

Dilia
Belleville, Paris
11/06/2026: It is in the shadow of the monumental Notre-Dame-de-la-Croix church in Ménilmontant, a 19th-century architectural gem perched atop its steep hill, that I arrive at Dilia. While the street's name commemorates a distant battle of the Crimean War, today it is a resounding victory of taste that unfolds here.
Upon entering, I am immersed in the picturesque atmosphere of an authentic Italian inn. Stone walls, patinated beams, and rustic wooden tables transport us to a peaceful Tuscan village where time seems to stand still.
The €28 set lunch menu, with its absolute radicalism, requires a single choice for each course. A high-wire act that demands complete trust in Chef Michele Farnesi, originally from Lucca. To whet the appetite, a Negroni makes its entrance, offering a perfectly executed symphony of bitterness and sweetness.
The only slight hitch in this otherwise perfectly orchestrated meal: the starter arrives at the table with the gusto of an Italian stallion, while the Negroni is still singing its last notes and the wine hasn't even been ordered yet. No matter, the contents of the plate quickly make one forget this slightly cavalier timing. The Roman-style artichoke tortellini are perfectly al dente, bathed in a pork broth with verbena, lemon, and pancetta, so clear and aromatically intense it would make even the best Vietnamese pho in southeast Paris pale in comparison. Topping it all off is a delicate herb, the famous chickweed, or common chickweed, which brings a welcome vegetal, spring-like freshness. No worries, the herb is as mild as its name suggests, and this odd bird of a bird is still standing!
To accompany the main course, I chose a 2023 Prugnolo from the Boscarelli estate, a Rosso di Montepulciano DOC of great distinction. This nectar, where Sangiovese reigns supreme, reveals a brilliant ruby color and a nose brimming with red cherries and violets. Its refined structure and savory tension offer an ideal counterpoint to the richness of the impeccable maccheroni, generously coated in a cortile ragù (a traditional peasant "farmyard" stew combining finesse and character), subtly flavored with savory and crowned with a cloud of Parmesan.
With a unique choice of timing, the restaurant opted for the interlude between the main course and dessert to slip in these unexpected amuse-bouches. A slightly disrupted chronology hardly matters when pleasure is so abundant! In these sumptuous brioche canapés topped with a delicate chicken liver paste, gourmets will recognize an ethereal reinterpretation of the traditional Tuscan crostini neri, a staple of Florentine osterias. The silky texture and rustic depth of the fegato on the golden brioche act as a marvelous savory interlude before the grand leap into the sweet.
The finale achieves the remarkable feat of being both spectacular and poetic. Beneath an immaculate dome of verbena-infused fermented milk, crafted into an almost cloud-like espuma, lie plump cherries and crunchy sesame seeds. A surprising dessert, with a remarkable balance between the milky acidity, the sweetness of the fruit, and the toasted sesame.
As a grand finale, the restaurant offers a handcrafted limoncello flavored with basil. Sporting an intensely luminous, almost green hue, this house digestif sweeps aside all commercially available versions with its fresh, herbaceous, and invigorating character.
A regal conclusion for a final bill of €70. Dilia isn't just a restaurant; it's a journey of immense generosity, a journey of quiet contemplation.
Between this wildly roguish farmyard stew, this vibrant Negroni, and this delightfully baroque service timing, you're practically committing insider trading... or rather, experiencing a transalpine idyll! If a foodie friend asks you where to go for a taste of Tuscany at a friendly price, don't hesitate: tell them to head straight to Dilia!
25/05/2026: Delicious meal! Lovely, helpful and passionate team.

Au Pere Tranquille
Bernieres-Sur-Mer
26/05/2026: Mixed feelings, unpleasant owner; despite a top-notch team of servers and very high prices.
At €8.50 for a Coke Zero (a can emptied into your glass), savor each sip as if it were your last and try not to sweat too much afterward.
The price is one thing, the setting is cool, but it could have been more pleasant if we hadn't been asked to sit at a corner of the bar and had to move if a table appeared to eat at that same corner. Thanks for granting us the immense privilege of being able to spend €50 on sodas at a corner of your bar.
The servers did allow us to have a good time, though, kudos to them.
25/05/2026: A superb evening on the terrace. A very warm welcome and attentive service. A quality menu...and a breathtaking view. An authentic place that I recommend 200%!
