04/03/2026: We came as a family to the restaurant Le Vieux Four to share a raclette, and the experience was more than disappointing. The cheese simply wouldn't melt and only formed into little cheese cakes. We repeatedly asked the waiter why it wasn't melting despite the raclette grill being very hot, and even asked if the cheese was pasteurized. After several trips back and forth, he finally returned to confirm that the cheese was indeed pasteurized! For a restaurant in the Hautes-Alpes region! The owner then came to our table to tell us that they had been serving pasteurized cheese for 20 years and that no one had ever complained, that it suited everyone perfectly. Except that, in this case, the cheese wasn't melting properly, making the raclette inedible! She made us out to be difficult customers who didn't understand anything. They removed the raclette grill from the table, which prevented us from finishing our meal. To "compensate," after a bit of a wait to find out what they were going to offer us, they suggested another dish. We accepted, but again, huge disappointment: the Berthous, a Savoyard specialty, also had a compact "pancake" texture with only the taste of garlic... Frankly, just as bad!!! In the end, a ruined meal, a ruined evening, a deplorable attitude, and no real attempt at self-reflection. We left very disappointed and with the feeling of not having been taken seriously. What's certain is that we will never return, far preferring the Fleur de Neige restaurant, which is excellent!!!!

21/03/2026: A must-stay! What a welcome! The room was spacious, well-appointed, and had everything you could need. Bathrobe, slippers, welcome tray... very clean and tastefully decorated. Accessible by elevator. A generous breakfast. The restaurant... EXCELLENT! Everything was made with fresh ingredients and served with a smile. The spa... total relaxation, private with products available. Free parking opposite the hotel. All this in a peaceful village. Total relaxation... I highly recommend it for a wonderful getaway.

15/12/2025: Full little restaurant bar situated at the train station where you can watch the trains wooshhhh by as you are eating a delicious locally sourced meal or an expertly prepared cocktail. A fun experience to take in while visiting Guethary!

24/01/2026: I had a very pleasant lunch with my cousin. I chose the set lunch menu, which is regularly updated, and the food lived up to the restaurant's setting. A beautiful farmhouse with ample parking at the entrance, a courtyard and a terrace for sunny days, a restaurant area with a small conservatory where we were seated, and a particular favorite being the recently added bar area (May 2025) with its tasteful interior design. Suitable for both private and business meals, there's even a conference/meeting room upstairs if you're interested. I'll gladly return when I'm in the area. 18/03/2026: It's an exquisite place in every sense. It's not a cheap restaurant, but you have the option of different set menus at different prices, in addition to ordering à la carte. We opted for the €42 set menu, where you can choose from five starters, two main courses, and two desserts. Overall, all the food was delicious. The tomato sauce that accompanied the stuffed chicken was a delight; you can tell it was slow-cooked. The chocolate and pear dessert was exceptional. Delicious. The wine list is extensive, but you'll hardly find an affordable wine; the cheapest is €90, so that's definitely a drawback. But alcohol isn't cheap in France, especially in fine dining restaurants. The staff is very professional, serious, and disciplined. There's plenty of staff for each table, from a busboy and waiter to a sommelier, reception staff, and a head waiter, so the service is excellent. The kitchen is large and open, and it's lovely to watch the team at work. Highly recommended if your budget allows.

16/01/2026: Ideal when you're passing through and in a hurry, an unpretentious self-service restaurant where everything is homemade, generous portions and inexpensive – you can eat well for less than €15, and the welcome is very friendly!

07/03/2026: The food was great however the biggest disappointment was that I prebooked weeks before and ended up on a table directly opposite the toilets. It was an experience ruined not being able to enjoy the ambience of the nice restaurant due to people walking back and forth to the toilet and sometimes with an unpleasant smell whilst eating. Not the experience we hoped for.

06/03/2026: Excellent galettes and a super friendly, warm atmosphere, with quick and attentive staff (a long-standing quality of the establishment). However, the sauces for the hot stone grill were bland and the potatoes tasteless; it's a significant decline compared to the past. For this reason, a 3-star rating, hoping to give it a 5 next time if the issues are addressed. Finally, we can hope to get the vintage wine from the wine list, not a more recent one...

25/02/2026: My niece and I had a pleasant evening, but it's a shame the food was a bit bland, with only a few cuttlefish and a rather dry burger bun that lacked any buttery or other flavor. For the price, I expected better. The patio is lovely and well-insulated, yet close to the docks. It was comfortable there despite the slightly chilly weather. The service was pleasant, and we thank you for the complimentary glasses of wine.

15/01/2026: A perfect seaside/harbor restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious; I honestly don't regret stopping there! The place is incredibly pleasant and nicely shaded, especially in the heat. Almost 70 euros, one bill for two, and we had wine, but with the setting and the warm service, it was well worth it!
