01/08/2026: Everything you need. Now our favourite stopover between the UK and French Alps. Lovey friendly welcome, great meal in the restaurant, local wines, comfortable beds, good shower, generous breakfast, pool and a quiet location. The half-board rate worked so well for our family. Hope to be back soon.

26/05/2026: A wonderful discovery since the change of ownership. We were already familiar with the establishment under the previous managers, and this was our first visit since the takeover. Frankly, a delightful surprise. The food was truly excellent, the dishes as beautiful as they were delicious, with real attention to detail. You can tell that the chef, who is also the owner, loves what he does. In the dining room, the owner creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We were able to enjoy the terrace, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A friendly place where you eat well and feel at ease. We will gladly return.

01/10/2026: It had been so long since we'd been back to Café Le Français in Surgères, so what a pleasure it was to rediscover this place! A truly lovely welcome, a super friendly team, and top-notch service. We immediately felt at home 😊 We had Spritz 🍹 and a delicious, generously filled charcuterie and cheese board with great bread 🧀🥖. Everything was simple, delicious, and welcoming, with genuinely kind and smiling staff. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back! ❤️

18/09/2026: Hello, We've had lunch there several times during our visit to the classic car meet on Sunday... It's perfect, with a vintage atmosphere, the cars, the accordion player outside the door... Superb... The ribeye steak is delicious, and the steak tartare is too... 14/10/2026: Lunchtime business. Table reserved for 15 people. We arrived at noon sharp and were served at 1 p.m. sharp for 15 courses ordered à la carte: impressive! The setting is lovely, the staff is young, friendly, energetic, and competent. The dishes served, as well as their quality and quantity, were unanimously praised. In the evening, I go back to spend more time and have a drink on the terrace. The setting is very pleasant.

14/10/2026: The service was very friendly. However, the food is very processed for the price. If you like a lively atmosphere, it's a good place. But if you're looking to chat, it's difficult to have a conversation because of the loud music.

12/08/2026: A very warm welcome from the owner, an excellent bartender, eager to ensure his customers have a pleasant time. The pizza was original, generous, and a real treat. Just like the burger! The prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended! We'll be back. Live music on Friday evenings.

28/06/2026: Tsaretta became our local for the week we spent in Les Allues. Remy, the bar manager, was so welcoming, full of advice of things to do, we spent time over drinks sharing stories. A very warm guy, and Jennifer was also lovely. Good pizzas, Remy makes a wicked margarita too. We will be back. Thanks Remy, all the best from Sam, Mark, Billy and Joe x
